Forgiven | Inspirational Family and Faith Move starring Dean Cain (God's Not Dead) 

This was a hard movie for me to watch, and yet I could not turn it off. My mother nearly starved us when we were babies and toddlers, me and my brothers. She kept us in one locked room at night while she went husband searching on First Street in Seattle, Washington. She got pregnant several times and finally left us at an orphanage. My dad found me and my brother (the others were not his) 6 months? later and took us to live with him and his new wife who hit me all the time, said and did awful horrible things to me - starting at age four. At six, someone invited me to church and gave me a bible. I accidentally discovered the Proverbs. I read: Come to Me -Wisdom, all you who are simple, and I will make you wise. I was overjoyed in my six year old heart, and thought - That's Me! and I faithfully read the Proverbs all through my hellish life with my step mother and beyond. God answered my prayer and gave me great common sense and wisdom in many areas even before I gave my life to Him. I became a Christian when I was fifteen at church camp, and finally after years of praying to be delivered from that family, he sprung me! There's much more as there is in every family, every person. I bounced in and out of my mother's home and she was a emotional case, her feelings ruled her till the day she died, two years ago. I always knew, because of the Proverbs, that you cannot live life by your feelings. I married at twenty, had my three babies. They are grown now. I was a stable and good wife and mom, until at twenty years of marriage (maybe twenty-five) my husband left us) None of us drank or even smoked. But first he left the Lord. Then me. Now, I have a contented heart living on my own with the Lord, but I have developed in my older age, an arms length from many people and though the Lord has answered scores of my prayers, this one, to be my natural self with many others, to allow them in, still evades me. If you have hung with me this long thank you. I love the Lord, but I would like to be free of what they now call: social anxiety that pops up at unexpected times. I literally don't know what to do about that, but regardless, I am keeping on this journey - in Christ. Always.

This film was very heartfelt. My heart was broken because there 😊 unforgiviness in my family. You can't really live with unforgiveness in your heart. It was a very good film to watch. Thank you!!!

Forgiveness is not only vital, it is an instruction, something that we must do, to receive it ourselves.

The pain of abuse and neglect and a broken childhood is not too much for God! How wonderful that He doesn't put any of us in the "too hard basket" and works with us year after year to redeem the "years that the locust has stolen". What a wonderful LORD and Father!

A great inspiring story and if really true then this girl Andrea who survived a traumatic childhood to become a strong christian woman sets a truly inspiring example to us all. This story was better than any sermon from a pulpit. Acting was excellent. Thank you for uploading.

I really truly relate to this amazing movie. I come from a very disfunctional family,where forgiveness is very much needed. I have forgiven my dad for his abuse and my mom,who turned her back on me when I needed her most!

So thankful the blessing of Psalms 10:14 (NKJV) But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief, To repay it by Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless.

Im in tears this was a beautiful movie and it showed me that we have to forgive anybody no matter how painful the situation... Because Jesus forgives us no matter how much we hurt him...he loves us and forgives us 70×7.

Only the Lord Jesus truly knows the pain of those who suffered gross injustices without it being there choice. To him alone belongs all power of forgivenesses, healing, restoration and redemption. Many stories, including my own, are not exactly the same, but nonetheless are desperately painful and leave deep deep scars. Again, it is Jesus alone, who bore the greatest scars for each of us. A great movie. Amen

This movie was created for all of the broken Angels out there, showing you know matter how difficult life might be; God always has you. This movie is also a strong inspirational story about forgiveness, you must forgive in order to move on that doesnt mean u forget what happened it means you find peace and in order to do that u must forgive.

Now that I’m totally in tears 😭 what a great movie and the reality sunk in that yes Jesus loves each of us and so easily to forgive…..

My brother and I both suffered a stepfather , to put it politely , for years until I left home right after turning 16 and two years later , my brother left home at 15 . We both moved 3K miles , back east to live with our father . It was such a toss up on which was worse that a year later my brother went back ! It was no where near as bad as this movie but it really sucks when you’re a kid and don’t feel like there is a safe place . We stayed gone all day even as young kids . I thank God for a kindly older lady that we lived next door to for a few years . I thank God for seeing us through , it wasn’t easy .

Unfortunately, there are many disfunctional families in today’s world, some due to alcohol, drugs, as well as other addictions, and the Children are the ones who suffer the most, and we Christens, need to add the hurting Children, all over the World, in our prayers 🙏

What a sad but beautiful movie! Only God can take all that pain, abuse , and neglect and turn it i into something beautiful!! If only more people would be seeking Him and realize how much they need Him!

If anyone is watching this and you have been abused we are praying for you to come to know God and to realized that He loves you and it was not His will for you to be abused There are a lot of things, that happen in life, that we are not going to understand But when we yield, to His presence, there is forgiveness, healing and restoration

It is painful to watch how abominably this child suffered....but the real story is the miracle of how she grew up to be a balanced loving adult. The reason, of course, is that she found the Lord early enough to heal her; and He also gave her a loving husband. Blessed be God🙏🏽🙌🏽

When she said," I had to go, I had to love myself more, Because I didn;t want to take anymore punches to prove that I loved him," I burst out crying because That's what I was doing, trying to get the love I needed, and trying to show him I'd die trying to somehow show him I was worth loving, by how much I let him do to me. It just goes to show how sick we become when we're with another sick person, it also shows how important it is to love ourselves, it gives us the strength to leave, but while you are a child you have to stay until you're old enough to realize things and can find a way to leave ( unless you can tell someone who can rescue you out). I didn't remember my fathers abuse until I had my first child, that's how deeply I'd buried my traumatic memories, I kept up ending up with abusive men, I was in my mid fifties before I got healed enough to finally be in a healthy, loving relationship with a man. It is only Gods love that could heal me, no worldly therapy could ever had.

The only way to heal is to forgive them. The only way to forgive them is through the love of Jesus Christ. Loved this movie and the lessons are very true.

Love all the actors in this movie. It was difficult for me to forgive my dad for years… but he became a Christian and I saw a completely different side of him. He still had his problems but before he passed away in 2016 I know daddy is with the lord now.

I have been through the same thing as her and now have a very loving husband for 23 yrs....the only thing I cannot do is forgive my mom for what she has done to me....Sure I still talk to her and cannot say I hate you...but I am 61 now and have learned to live with the pain ..it will never go away....

Family issues are the hardest to tackle especially when relationships are at stake....... To FORGIVE is much easier to do than to FORGET ....... Come on, let's be honest.... Our minds are not designed to erase memories... It is not a tape recorder which you could play back and forth or totally erase..... It takes time, more time to heal old wounds.... Only then, FORGETTING becomes acceptable. Christian movies are very inspiring, heart-touching, enlightening. God has His ways and means to reach everyone and touch their hearts.

I particularly loved the “ supreme superintendent” scene and the line where Andrea said she didn’t know her mom had a heart. Those made me laugh but it’s good to see real life situations and even better to have reconciliation. After all, that’s the whole point of our journey here on earth- to be reconciled with each other and with Yahweh.

I think Jesus instructed us to forgive 70 times 7 because he knows that's how many times it takes to really forgive others from our hearts. ...and we're all sinners, sinning against one another in one fashion or another. Everyone needs forgiveness, even the best of us need it. Thank God for our Savior Christ Jesus our Lord. ❤

sad but beautiful movie about forgiving the unforgiveable

He gave me harmony! When I was a little girl of age, something bad was done to me, that caused so much damage, as that little girl's heart broke into sadness, by some adult's madness! The abuse gave me many years of agony, until I surrendered my life to the Lord, and found myself in harmony. Finally I understood that He always had loved me, and He had felt the pain I felt ; that made my heart melt. He helped me to forgive the abusers, as His love for me changed my heart for real, and He little by little the wounds would heal. Today, my heart aches for those who have gone through the same, and thought it was some adult's game. I pray for them with deep compassion and sorrow, as I hope for them a better tomorrow ; and that they will turn to the Lord with all their agony, as He is the only One who can give them harmony! 25.12.2020.

This Movie was So Inspiring. I Praise The Lord Jesus for giving Andrea the Holy Spirit Boldness to run this race of abuse from her Mum and Dad but she kept her head high though her grades at school was So pour because of her constant neglect. All Glory goes to her Fellowship Ladies Group, if she didn't have this Group Andrea would have Committed suicide. I Praise The Lord Jesus for her Husband Who also stood by her through thick and thin. Though Her Children didn't know what their Mum went through but they still Loved her Unconditionaly. I also Praise The Lord Jesus for bringing Andrea's Mum back to her Daughter's home. Without Love and Forgiveness in our lives we can't move forward in This Christian Parthway. I PRAISE THE LORD JESUS FOR HE ALONE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED for Bringing this Wonderful Family together in that One Bond Of Love.

This was a movie that effected me. Forgiveness is vital, I'm still working through hardships about my parents and family. I vowed to myself to Not give up on my kids as I was given up on by my own bio parents. I don't understand , I'm doing the best I know how , I turn to Jesus Christ more than I would have thought I would and I'm an elder. If the male is the one who everyone claimed that he is my bio dad, I struggle with forgiveness bc he raped me.

Yeah. Happens to guys too. Didnt finish the movie i know it plenty well. Forgiveness is very key. Happened in my life. We got saved but you go through life just thanking God and not questioning, however I did as a kid. You can be pretty whole but still. My grandmother was not a good person or much of a mother to her children, but she was so good for and to me. Dad doesn't have great childhood memories with her, but i do.

My dad acted as a stranger not being involved all my life. I fogive him and pray for him to be ok. May The Lord heal those who have been going through pysical and emtional abuse in Jesus Name. My mother used to hit me for a while back in the years, but she was sick and been repented and became a new creature in Christ. God can heal us through our problems. Anything is possible with The Father. We are in the last days. God is coming soon to bring His people home. Repent of you're sins and get baptized. Be born again by believing and being saved to go to eternal life. Jesus is The Only Way. Have a relationship with Him.

I forgave my parents for an awful childhood, and it was easier because of how much they changed. But recently my mother decided to seek out an old relationship (someone she cheated on my biodad with, and was one of the reasons he denied me), and become a lot like she was before abusive and hurtful so I decided to cut her off for a while I can't be a mother/wife myself and still put up with her.

There certainly is some medicinal value to alcohol, yet regular consumption as a recreational drug is so very destructive; how this can be legal, is beyond my understanding.

I'm sure everyone has their own tests in life and things that had to endure, but for me forgiveness was the hardest mountain to climb..my anger and hate ate at me for 15 years until it destroyed my health, then is when I realized I had to to forgive not for them but for my sake and my soul ... don't let hate and anger take power over you, the only one losing is you

I liked the movie other than the mother disrespecting the principal. Also the mother condoning her daughter's immodest attire was not becoming of a believer. A perfect example of forgiveness though!

Jesus took me to heaven 27 yrs ago ,3 months after i was saved ,i was praising in my bedroom for 3 hrs and then i was in heaven in the spirit standing inside Jesus ------and i was like Him ------and all this passion was going round and round --------then we came out from each other and He told me to forgive those people who abused me it wasnt them it was satan -then He took me to the side and pointed to a black pin hole and said thats the darkness its all gone its all forgotten-------and it was soooooo so beautiful and then it wasnt i was back down here again!

I can relate to this movie. I was abused and rejected and neglected, too, by both parents. But thank God it stopped when I began 6th grade and the following years were not full of abuse. It's taken me years of being a Christian, to gain some kind of self-awareness, to seek forgiveness for the abuse and the pain that I re-created with my own children. I am thankful for God's forgiveness to me...70 times 7 times...God is forgiving and loving, kind, gracious and mercuful...and so should we be with each other. ❤

I don't care what we grew up with or w/o, or where, what our sex is, what our level of education is, our relationship status at any age, how or if we have children or not, our careers, our level of socioeconomics were or are, our religion or our political views we ALL are going to age healthy or not so healthy by choices we make or choices we do not until death, family dynamics remain interesting, we will all experience pain both physically & mentally on different levels at some point in life. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Thank you for the movie.

I believe it is in Mathew, if you do not forgive others their sins, then the lord will not forgive you yours. The forgiving heals you more then them.

This movie touched me in so many ways.the part where the mom says i feel like a piece of furniture the daughter says back it hurts doesn't it! That was harsh.ive made mistakes as a mother.the kids dad would beat me alot the kids saw that than i became i drug addict and became a person i never thought i be.i hurt my kids i chose drugs over them.but I didn't abandoned my kids when they were little they were teenagers when i got lost.i didn't realize that they still needed me but I was dealing with my own demons and the pain that I dealt with it thru drugs.i can never take back how i hurt them.ive changed my life around and tried to show them that i was sorry but some stull hurt.i never beat them or anything like that.i hurt them by not being there when they needed me the most.this movie is really true on forgiveness.
