This Historic old house was built in 3 stages.. The original log cabin was built sometime around 1820. Then a a few more larger additions were made over the years. The largest one was the Victorian/ Gothic front of the house which added a steep gable pitch roof. House has been vacant for years and now parts of the roof have collapsed so it will be long until the rest goes. Still had a surprising amount of neat old stuff left! Hope you enjoy! Thanks for watching

Kappy, you keep hollering antiques, antiques, old, old, 70's, 70's............LOL!!.........( I grew up with all that stuff, except, to me, it wasn't old, it was state of the art or current tech and or style during that time for me ) We didn't have cell phones or computers or flat screen tv's or color tv's. I honestly don't think young people of this day could survive in the 60's, where I was raised. 🤣🤣🤣......KAPPY, THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS! It brings back many lost childhood memories! ❤

When you opened the door off the kitchen (behind the beautiful fireplace) I felt like we stepped back in time even further, almost like an in law. I imagine that house was absolutely beautiful in its time. Has not seen any help in a long long time. The stairs and doors in the second were beautiful. Kudos to you for so many likes in just hours. Thank You for showing us these before they are gone

The second one was updated probably in the 60s-70s! I loved the original doors & door hardware of both properties!!! Sad that they can’t be salvaged 😞😢😰I always hate to see old, antique wooden furniture left in a place to go to the elements 😞 I always wish that it could be saved, restored & brought back to its original beauty 👍🙏💕 Thank you Kappy for sharing these wonderful find’s! These structures look pretty tired, but they are set in such pastoral, peaceful settings! Lucky were the folks that lived these a long time ago, though, no doubt they didn't realize it. More examples of woodwork that was absolutely fine art, and only achieved, in our modern day and age, by programming a computerized lathe! With floors crumbling from the weather, the staircase was still holding firm! I wonder if that area doesn't regularly experience fierce storms. Amazing how you find these treasures. Awe-inspiring, visiting the remnants of people's lives from decades back. (I used to enjoy that same toaster oven model (in the first house, on top of the microwave stand, in the 'wooden paneling' kitchen/room. That was decades ago(70's) but made the very best personal pizzas on english muffin halves!) Thanks for the tour, Kappy. Thanks even more for the memories!

Some lovely paneling, trim work and hardware, I liked the strawberry wallpaper in the first kitchen. Please, someone save the "real" gas cans. This living room makes me think of the Waltons' living room. It's so comfortable and homey looking! The staircase has some nice details, with a modest newel post, elegant banister and plain styles. Nice, unassuming and down to earth Looks like it was once (a LONG time ago) a pretty house. Too bad you're a few decades too late to film this nice old house! Thanks for trying, anyway! You nearly gave me a nervous fit in trying to film this one. I was glad when you gave it up as a bad job, Kappy. 🌷💐🐝 Okay, let's try again! That IS a pretty newel post. That's lovely bentwood furniture in the front room. Oh, somebody left her dolly behind! It looks so out of place in all this desolation! Cool doorknob, Kappy! This was once a homey kitchen, warmed by that wood burning stove. I haven't seen a propane cook stove in decades! This was a thoughtfully laid out house, comfortable and easy to navigate. Though it has definitely seen better days, it was once a nice house in which to live. The banister and styles of the staircase are really attractive. I don't recall seeing similar ones anywhere. Like the house itself, it's solid and honest, not tring to put on airs. Another good explore, Kappy. Both these houses give me the feeling of having done what they were meant to do, protect their family. Now they are tired and old, ready to go the way of all things and return to the good earth. Thanks for the explores, Kappy! I enjoyed them thoroughly. Glad you made it out with no injuries. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us. Happy trails, intrepid explorer! Love from Tennessee

@Urban Exploring With Kappy I love watching your explores! 🙂💜 I knew some bird calls, but learned way more when I was homeless from December 2016 to November 2018. Hearing Blue Jays always reminds me of a morning when I was homeless and staying in a city park with 40 acres of woods. I was leaving to go to the library for some cool shelter for the day rather than to roast in the heat and sun. I told Blue Jay to make sure and tell the other little birdies if Hawkie came around to try to pick on them and Blue Jay answered me saying he would! 😅😅 When I was homeless I became The Critter Whisperer to all of the critters out there including insects! My friends started calling me that. It's such a cool gift to have and it always amazes me how much animals and insects understand. Even crickets. Recently there was a cricket in my bathroom. I thought it was dead and put my finger near him and he jumped right into a spider web! 🥺 I saved him and got the web off of him and told him to come and keep me company in the bedroom and he did! 😁

Yeah.. some of those floors look pretty sketchy, you are wise not to risk it, I mean, you wouldn’t want your last thoughts to be, (while you are trapped in a pile of rubble , in a BASEMENT no less..) to be, “Why the heck did I step there??” We’d really miss you, and uh , Not to be selfish, but we’d really be sad if we had to “ settle” for other exploration videos with some lame host that has to hear himself talk & talk, while adding weird danger music!
