I posted this to Facebook .....this is Thomas R Osmonds comment..."Thank you to "Kin" to Post which I Am Not Forgotten Brother of my life! Thanks for your Support and Caring!!"
You are so right. I was getting ready to post a comment saying exactly what u posted so I decided to just like and agree with your comment. They were never forgotten and very much acknowledged.
For being deaf, Virl and Tom were amazing as dancers and they also play several instruments. They got to lead more "normal" lives out of the limelight and do regular things. They were definately not forgotten by the others and were included several times in the act.
These two older brothers were always involved in the " business". The other brothers were singing as a way to raises money to help with hearing aides etc. DEFINITELY NOT FORGOTTEN
Seeing Tom and Virl tap dance was amazing! I never knew they had that talent. And to see Tom play the piano with a 90 dB hearing loss is freaking mind-blowing! Wow! Obviously, they still had that natural Osmond family talent even though they couldn't hear!
I shared this to Facebook where the Osmonds are friends ......This comment is from Thomas R Osmond "Thank you to "Kin" to Post which I Am Not Forgotten Brother of my life! Thanks for your Support and Caring!!"
He is as handsome as the rest of the family! He has the Osmond TEETH! No porcelain veneers for this family. Tom is such a sweet and humble man. Love him!
I loved this. I've been looking back at the old Osmond documentaries lately so was very interested in what Tom might be doing. Donny looks so much like Tom. I love how Tom is a hard worker and a family man. What a blessed life.
Tom seems so different in this interview then ones he did in later years. I think he might have been feeling more excluded than any of us realized. That said, later on I think he truly made peace with his life. If ancient memory serves me, he printed the Osmond newsletter and I know he was proud about that. And later became a mail man for a great many years. He always seemed like such a kind soul. I know he and Virl, and some brothers have regretfully been having health problems. I sure hope he & all are doing well!
Tom & Virl are Osmond Brothers even tho they didn’t sing, they were talented in their other abilities & contributions to their Brothers’ shows, the whole family is amazingly talented in many ways. I love & admire this whole family & have since I was about 12 or 13 yrs. old; I’m the same age as Donny so that tells you how long that’s been & how old I am. LOL ♥️💙💜💚💖
KINTV Absolutely!!! It was a Whole Family Career cause they all contributed in some way. The older two were talented even tho they couldn’t hear & even tho they didn’t perform except for Special Occasions. They’re a great Family & I’m a huge Fan, in case you couldn’t tell. LOL ♥️💙💜💚💖👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I don’t think that Tom or Virl have ever been forgotten by the family or the fans they have performed on stage and have signed the Osmonds music on stage.
maybe the two least known Osmonds would have been a better title as i'd never heard of these two. ofc they are my mom's age group not mind so maybe that is why. :)
What a true inspiration !! I find it humbling to watch video. I don"t think I've ever met a more determined and strong willed person in my life. Tom, I know you are proud of your life and yourself, which you certainly should be. I don't know you. Never met you. But know this, I am very proud of Tom. Good luck and may God bless you my friend .🙏❤
I loved seeing this video about Tom! He is just as amazing as the rest of his brothers and sister! Thank you so much for sharing this video and for making my day!😊
Nooo! They were never forgotten, the family speaks of them often and has all through the years. They have a saying in their family "it doesn't matter who is up front, as long as it's an Osmond". They were raised with a strict understanding that there was no room in the house for egos, and nobody was greater than the other, if Mother & Father saw anything different, they would pull the plug on showbiz!
I used to work at the Osmond Studio back in 1979. I quit because of Jay's rude remarks he often said to the people visiting that studio. I loved going there because to me; it was an amazing place to watch how costume would be made for the Donny & Marie show. I was sad when the Osmonds had to sell it for way less than what it was worth. It's too bad they turned that place into a facility to help people who purposely do drugs; when it should have stayed as a studio. Thanks for showing the old place on RU-vid. Oh yeah, Jay did cause some trouble for the ladies back in those days. Even though his brothers kept trying to marry him off; he got more kicks out of driving his Mercedes on Canyon road, splashing dirty snow onto the girls crossing the road in front of the Riviera Apartments. (Especially on Sundays.) Oh yeah; what ever happened to that statue of George Osmond that used to be in the front lobby?
@@kintv6540 ... I'll bet you did ... my friend and I drove out to Utah from Michigan back when the studio was up and running and we got to meet Tom there at the studio, it was lots of fun ... that was 40 years ago ... doesn't seem all that long ago but I just did the math lol😨
Incredible good dancers, they could actually had been on stage with the others as dancers! Sad that the family and the producers didn't think about that. I mean every time, not just a few times. Or maybe there was a reason for that, we shouldn't judge because we weren't there, we don't know if it would have taken too much time and effort to involve them 100%.
This was a very interesting video. Tom, you are to be admired for your musical instrument playing. It must have been so frustrating as you learned but you sound great. I hope there is a special video like this one about Virl too.
I didn’t know that you used to work for The Osmonds that’s something that I didn’t know about you but my perdiction is saying that thanks ☺ 😊 🙏 to the plan album 💿 The Osmonds are evangelical Christian cross ✝ hopefully 🙏 it happens in an upcoming interview.
Probably their mothers Welsh roots. I and many of my family have genetic hearing loss from my Welsh grandmother's family. It was very common in the area she was born (Myrther Tidvell). We can all sing well as well. My daughter is an opera singer
They have not been forgotten , ever !! I knew of them as a teenager, when the performing group was quite young. I heard a while age that Tom had had heart surgery , and could not find out if he came through or not. I put questions out there , but no answers. They appear to be a family of friends. A wonderful thing to have , if you are lucky !!
I can answer that: Virl and Tom were the two oldest, followed by the other seven in the order you placed them. Virl is actually George Virl Osmond, Jr., but has always gone by his middle name. Virl is hearing impaired but not deaf. He has a slight speech impediment, but hardly noticeable once you head him talking. I've actually heard him sing, and he can fairly well. Tom is nearly completely deaf, but is actually a more accomplished musician than Virl.
I can't believe they have millions and millions of dollars and they can't buy him a decent home and help him out that is sad bunch of phoneys no respect for them
I think that we can see in this video that Tom has a sense of pride in everything that he does. He wants to contribute to the world in his way as he is able with the talents that he has. To give him money to live beyond what he is able to produce for himself and his family would only make him feel disrespected and ashamed. Living within what he is able to produce for himself and his family gives him a sense of accomplishment and pride as any man, especially with his disability. Besides, there is nothing the matter with their house. I'm sure that his wife and children are proud of his success. Their rich uncles'/brothers' money would do nothing positive for them.
Unless you have spoken to Tom you have no right or knowledge to decree how he lives his INDEPENDENT life He and his children look perfectly happy and the whole multi-branched family are known for being extremely supportive of each other All you need is love for each other not cash
