These small town stops are why I watch this channel. It makes me realize some of the wonderful heritage of this country, and in other cases, how these wonderful places have been economically devastated because of the international mobility of labor.
As someone who lives in Colorado, it's great to see the state from an outside perspective. I think many people who live here take these views and relics for granted, including myself. Wonderful Video!
Hello Adam. Thank you for bringing us along on your trip to Denver, Colorado. Amazing how you find places that have a historic past. Doc' Holiday's place where he passed away, the Saloon named after him; are places we could never visit ourselves. The small towns are interesting to see. Thanks for sharing their history. Safe travels.
Great overview - I live in Carbondale which is 15 minutes from Glenwood. Thanks for showing our part of the world. Sadly too many people are moving here & we’re losing our small-town character & western culture. Relieved you made it through the canyon as tonight there’s a flash flood warning.
I got so excited to see a video from Colorado! I am a little sad that you didn't show Palisade it's SO beautiful with the Bookcliffs and Grand Mesa (which is also a beautiful drive) and one of my favorite spots and there's lots of history. Fun facts: my sister in law's family founded Palisade and my husband has relatives who live in the old Tuberculosis hospital that was there. I'm from Arvada, CO- which you drove through to get to Denver- but went to college in Grand Junction and used to stop at that gas station in Glenwood Springs on my trips home (it was a Conoco back then). One of the last conversations I had with my grandpa was about No Name and it makes me think of him every time I drive through the area but I've never been able to stop and look around. The long tunnel you went through is called the Eisenhower Tunnel and it goes through the continental divide. The Georgetown Loop is an awesome train that you can ride on and it has a tall bridge that can be fairly scary to those afraid of heights. It made me so happy seeing someone else admire Silver Plume as it's one of my favorite places here and Georgetown is just as cool and historic. Anyway, I hope Colorado treated you well and hope you want to come back!! Thanks for all of your fun videos and showing us the beautiful country we live in!! You're very much appreciated.
Another good one. It is amazing how you find all of these "off the beaten path" places. Meandering around while the cars are flying by on the main roads in their "hustle and bustle" world. Thanks again for sharing all of your adventures with us. I am so glad you are able to do this. Just traveling wherever and enjoying your life. I love all of your videos but these are the ones I love the most. Waiting on more to come. Be safe and Happy Trails.
Welcome to our neck of the woods ( Denver area)- Colorful Colorado. Have a safe trip! As a native, you have shown us places that even we didn't know were there! Thanks for sharing your experiences!
Woo!!! Your so close to Ft.Collins Colorado. Come have a piping hot beverage and explore the home town of Harper Goff who helped designed mainstreet Disneyland.
Hi Adam, I live in the Glenwood Springs area. If you come through Glenwood again you can take a short hike up to Doc Holidays grave. It’s a short hike up a hill and it has a great view of Glenwood Springs.
I checked into hotels- once in Bali and once in South Africa- and strangers near the hotel desk identified my accent because they had also lived in Pittsburgh at one time!
Hey Adam, we are having so much fun joining you on your road trip. Welcome to our beautiful state of Colorado. Sure hope you enjoy your time in this state. We live just outside of Boulder. It would be great to cross paths outside Disneyland. Thank you again for this wonderful trip. Safe travels.
Hey Adam. I watched many of your journeys over the years and as I’m in the UK I always appreciate the history and information you give. Particularly enjoying this long trip seeing different parts of USA and you having a few friends occasionally joining you and of course your lovely parents too.
Mr. Woo you should make a trip up to Fort Collins sometime. Our downtown "Old Town" was half the inspiration, along with Marceline of course, for Main Street at Disney. It's beautiful up here you'd love it! Harper Goff grew up in Fort Collins.
I think I need to switch to watching Woo vids at night because I want nothing else in the world right now but to fall asleep next to that stream in Silver Plume., and stay at that incredible little Windsor Hotel...damn. Amazing views, all of it. That was one crazy coincidence. Out of the blue synchronicities absolutely befuddle me when they happen, and leave me in awe. Maybe there is a rhyme and reason beyond what we will ever be humanly capable of understanding.... I guess all we can really do is enjoy what we can, and trust in the Grand Design. 👍
