How to offend religious people: Just say: "It's not my fault God put the soul of a man in my female body, thus making me a lesbian." God chimes in: "Yeah. Sometimes I get mixed up. My bad. But I cover up my errors by telling Christians that homosexuality is a choice. Ain't I a stinker?"
Related to that; there was supposed to be a spin-off of _The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis_ centered around his gal pal Zelda Gilroy (Sheila Kuehl) that was supposed to go forward at CBS, but was stopped from going forward because an executive at CBS discovered that Kuehl was a lesbian, and said executive didn't like that, so the spin-off never happened.
@@_cloudface_ no I said treated worse than straight men, homosexual men were also treated just as bad as lesbians, but straight women are treated worse than straight men if you look at history, women would have torture devices on them if they disrespected their husbands in victorian ages. but all lgbtq+ were treated just as bad.
input(username) they were literally making a joke, the whole sketch is about making fun of how people used to (and still do) view lesbians, i can assure you that there’s nothing like the love of a good woman
i love how when kenan says he's obsessed with lesbians you think it's gonna be some gross fetishy thing, but instead it's just "my sister's wife taught me how to bodysurf!"
"I may be a lesbian, but there's nothing like the love of a good man". God, she must have died inside a little because of that sentence. Edit: after ignoring the replies for more than a year, things have escalated to the point that I need to clarify that yes, I am aware that Kate McKinnon is, in fact, an actress.
@@BoJangles42 I think maybe it's in the view of Love. Like if she's a lesbian she prefers the love of women, not men.. IDK if you'll understand what I'm saying.
"My sister's wife taught me how to body surf!" I absolutely adore that this line goes in this direction instead of what EVERYONE thought it would. Genius
The irony of this whole this is that Kate is actually a huge lesbian EDIT: I CANT BELIEVE I HAVE TO EDIT THIS COMMENT, 3 YEARS AFTER I PUBLISHED IT. I obviously, obviously didn’t mean thats she’s a huge lesbian as in she’s “big” or that there are “different sizes” of lesbian. It was obviously, obviously just a way of saying that she’s a lesbian. That’s it. Nothing more. Just a phrase. A way of speaking. Nothing else. Please. No more answers like: “how is she big?” “What size of lesbians are there?” NO MORE. No need! It’s been 3 years! Shut up! Thanks xx
You mean she's just a lesbian right? Just because she's openly out doesn't mean she's a "huge" lesbian she's just a regular woman who happens to be gay. You wouldn't say that about a straight person that they're hugely straight you would just say they were straight. Show her some respect
@@odanemcdonald9874 @Ratigan2 "You can't win (at not offending someone when talking about gay people)", I think? Meaning, he thought there was no way he could phrase it correctly...justifying him giving up and not caring. When in reality, there are definitely better and worse ways to say things. I mean that applies to everything though lol. It's hard to know how people are laughing about it though. If I hated gay people and/or actually thought it's impossible to talk about gay people, then I'd laugh at it for being true. If you're like me, then you're laughing at people like that. That's my best shot 🤷
One of the show's great strengths has been serving as a springboard for great new talent over the years. They will likely move on to even bigger and better things as new talent gets a chance to show off their stuff. SNL seems to have a really strong cast combination at least once a decade. Their alumni are practically a who's who of comedy.
on one hand i'm looking forward to kate moving on to more stuff beyond snl and giving the newer cast members more of a chance to shine, but on the other hand, i'm intending to move to NYC later this year so i wouldn't mind if she stuck around just one more year on the (very low) chance that i might see/meet her
What does that mean? She's just another person who makes jokes. The world didnt deserve world war II or the atomic bomb or hiroshima or pearl harbor. She's not monumental or detrimental to human life or development in any way.
I myself love lesbians I'm obsessed with them My sister's wife taught me how to body surf *awkward pause, followed by slight silence and stunning realisation that this is going off the rails... moves on like nothing happened.* 😂😂😂😂
Louis C.K. may be a creep, but that doesn’t make him less funny. What he allegedly did is creepy, and he should be sanctioned to a degree, but I believe that this is something from which he should be able to return. I do wonder about the process that led to this behavior, though. I suspect that he has some deep-rooted self esteem issues and damaged sexuality. My guess is that he believes deep down that he is unworthy of intimate attention from women and that he has to result of such desperate and repulsive measures.
@@Thehubb1 That's true. Now let's talk about all the gross things people in this thread have done. The court of public opinion has a jury comprised of rapists and murderers. You might be one. Just sayin'.
Kenan's hilarious as narrator, but I thought the other actors all did a great job with their oldies-TV voices. Really sells it when they're saying things like "and how," or "aw no ya don't," etc.
They are perfect all the intonation. Nobody talks like that. The fat husbans kinda sounds like Ralph Kramdon / Fred Flintstone. It's amazing I loved that style of English
And that's the clip that stood out to you from the whole clip? really?? just those three lines? there were such insightful and clever lines to choose from written by some of the best... really? Well that's good.. because I really like that bit myself lmao
@@metamaeta Cigar/tobacco stores used to often have a wooden statue of an "Indian" out front: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cigar_store_Indian He's saying the guy who made this show claimed to have spoken to a lesbian in real life but was such an idiot/so out of touch about what a lesbian is that he had a "conversation" with a wooden statue. Of course it's a ridiculous idea, but it's hyperbole for the sake of comedy. Hope that answers your question!
