Just got a job as an LTO at a cold storage warehouse, even though I’ve never operated heavy machinery like these. I’ve been extremely nervous for my first day but these videos are real easy to grasp and making me less anxious about it, thanks for your videos man, hope you make more!
i just saw your video on driving a normal forklift, now i got to learn the stand up fork lift ! im excited to go try out everything i've learned from you Josh! thank you for taking the time to teach us Brother.
I just got back in to doing forklifts and as a woman you have taught me more than my last trainer did in the few hours we had at my old warehouse job I appreciate you so much!
Just got my osha certification today. I’m new and soaking up any free knowledge I can get.. I get to play on all the equipment tomorrow.. great video sir! And thank you…
Watched this vid for when I need to use the fork at work while I was uncertified. Now i'm certified and this vid is a big reason why appreciate brother 💯
I’ll be taking a forklift course next month I was certified four and a half years but was trained briefly and certified for the work season at the time Looking forward for formal training getting my OSHA certificate This video does help to get in the mindset of using these types of forklift as I only know to operate the regular sit down one
Using the throttle, or "joystick" to brake is called plugging. It stops the lift electronically. It is the proper way to stop. The deadman is for emergency braking ONLY.
That’s how I love the steering. Others, some, refer it the other way like if you turn it right, you go right. I can’t deal with it like that lol. Good video bro
Those Raymond's are no joke. Almost got thrown off one after underestimating the throttle. If your machine doesn't have a limiter, be extremely careful.
I just started a new job as an operator. I got a brand new Raymond. Newest stand up dock loader. It's temperamental, but if you learn the gentle finesse of it, fuck is it an awesome lift. I never had anything newer than 30 years old before that. Gotta learn the feather touch.
thanks man i just got a wear house job n i bull shit my interview, you savin my ass threw the test run , really do apperciate this easy video , 10 /10 bro what a legend
I’m aiming for my certification in these up coming weeks… tell me why this Guy makes it feel calm, nice and easy, really good teacher. I want to say watching this is making the nervous little by little go away but excited for the new experience. I appreciate you & bro, much love from the I.E
I’m teaching a girl how to drive one right now how can’t even drive a car but she’s doing very well. She’s only been on it once and pretty much now the functions because of video!
Thanks a lot brother! I have used a sit down and cherry picker before but this new job wants me on a stand up. I know there’s similarities but i still get nervous. This just boosted my confidence. Gracias!!
💯 Appreciate you mane frfr I got a certification for Harris Teeter Distribution center where the stand up forklift is required tomorrow 😭 I"ve been doing the sit down forklift, and electric pallet jack for years now due to your video the stand up forklift is going to be a breeze 🙏🏾
God bless you for your time and kindness bro,I really appreciate. I can now boldly tell you i am qualify through this tutorials hahaha...Am gonna look for a company to work with. No time to waste
As a trainer too, to clarify the "Deadman" petal is comparable to the emergency break on the car not a regular break. It's actually not good for the machine to use the Deadman as a regular break. Like he also demonstrates in the video just pull the handle in the opposite direction for a regular break. If you are about to hit something or someone, THEN step off the petal to stop immediately (thus emergency break). Everything else in the video is a great explanation! Good job!
Just trained on this today after being on pick line all week at my company. Monday I go full throttle. Our model is a bit different, but the same mechanism.
Good vid! Few good tips, keep the forks down when turning and once you are aligned with the pallets then raise it up that way you are swinging them every and possibly hitting pallets of merchandise. Another one is once alligned and inside the pallet lift up slowly and tilt the whole crane thing back a little. Not the forks but the whole thing. That way it is in an angle and can also not scrape against the rack and damaging anything. But overall good vid. I noticed even with the standup forklifts there are different makes. I’m used to the stand up crown version
Glad I found this, been working at a warehouse for 5 years and always said no to the Lead position since I didn't want to ride this machines but life happens and now im a Lead and going to be trained for one of this. Now I know a bit before actual training. Just one question, would I always want to tilt backwards ( towards me) when moving with a full pallet?
