I'm still very much on the fence RE Forma... the value add is there in premise but not in current product imho. Clunky massing/form tools, a mixed bag on context usefulness and ESD is high level only. Watching it with interest, but not using it very much currently. Most demos struggle to do much more than do a few default analysis' and a basic extrusion mass (add this one to the camp...) - it's telling of the clunk of the platform that not even a demo can do much with it. I think I speak on behalf of most users on Adsk software when I say we'd love to see them fix software vs jump to new platforms. I totally get why they wont/aren't, but architects will not be the driving force behind Forma I believe - we're too heavily shackled to Revit/AutoCAD and can't just leap into a half baked feasibility platform for anything but the first few % of a project delivery cycle. Autodesk will need to appeal to new/riper markets than those they walled off in their current product line-up.

When I saw the email/news about formit, it mentioned formit pro is the one that is going "away", I think (and hope)formit, the free version, is going to remain since Autodesk built in that integration a few releases ago. I don't really use formit much but I do not think i used the pro features so it wouldn't really be an issue to use the non pro version. I could be wrong about all this of course and that news applied to all versions of formit. I really look forward to using forma more, I wish there was a way(If someone knows, please let me know) to create more hubs, I can see this getting messy if a whole office is just creating projects in one place. We have a few divisions and it would be great to break it up into division hubs.

Just so that you don’t have any use case for Forma, you don’t have to slander Dan. This episode has been very helpful for me being in a design firm working on large site plans. Implementing this in office starting next week, as we already have the license sitting dormant with us. Also just subscribed to Dan’s YT Channel.
