Beautiful flying over beautiful country! Excellent photography. I can't wait until I'm learning formation flying in my aircraft. In case you haven't seen my posts on VAF, I got my RV-8 transition training from Bruce Bohannon last week. I'm now a qualified RV-8 pilot. Not necessarily experienced or proficient, but I am qualified. Still hoping to fly mine this year; we'll see.
Missed your thread on VAF but found it. I see things are progressing after all that trouble with your engine. I recently flew over your place several times in my other plane and hope to be back in my -8 --- may be for some formation time !?
So I would like to know more about you sir. My research shows you flew the 747. I suspect you were a highly trained Luftwaffe fighter pilot. It also appears you are an accomplished aerobatic pilot. I see the attitude indicators on your canopy. I fly Gulfstream aircraft internationally and have done some aerobatics in Pitt’s, Extra’s, and Sukhoi. A loyal fan! Matt
Hi Matt, you are right with the 747, but I never flew as a Luftwaffe pilot. My aerobatic capabilities are limited and I never flew competitions, just fun aeros for myself. But it feels good to be familiar with all attitudes and at the very limits of your plane.
