Formations and delegations from 17 countries took part in the V-Day parade in Beijing, passing through Chang'an Avenue. Never before has China invited foreign troops to attend a parade.

Odd that North Korea did not send a contingent for the parade...close by and plenty of troops. Korea had Japan's boot on it's throat since the start of the 20th Century until WW2 ended. They could have had a bake sale if they needed train fare............

nice to see some monor players of the second world war, but other than Russia, where are the other majors? Like UK, USA, France, AUstralia, New Zealand, Canada, Poland, etc etc etc etc etc etc.. this parade seems half arsed if you ask me. If one gonna do a VJ or VE parade.. one should have every nation that gotten involved in that war. Owe it to them!
