On this Episode, Trent sits down with another living legend. Troy Knight is a plank holder for the Australian Combat Control- or CCT- program. He’s a combat veteran and a published author. He is now retired and spends his time and resources giving back to the veteran community and fighting kangaroos in the outback (probably on the last one). His book “Havoc 06” chronicles his journey and sheds light on the struggles many face once they leave the combat zone.

Great interview style Trent. You kept him engaged without interrupting and making corny jokes. You guys think you can get an ex 24th CCT to roll by though? Fans of this channel would definitely love it!

Amazing, I love hearing about coalition SOF, and AUS is just one of a hand full of countries that developed a CCT program. Nice!

I went Infantry Army Reserves but Considering Transfering to Airforce as Net Tech since im injured now(not service related). Hopefully try to get into a support role for 4 squadron if I can. But yeah I had opportunity to work and train with the Regs and done Support work with SASR they are fit dudes and such humble guys compared to the regs in the RAR but there are good an the bad worked and trained with both. Blokes from my unit have got into SASR so I guess its another easier way to get in even as a Choco since there is no Direct entry for SASR But SFET is all services so im sure you can apply for any special Operation unit including support. Its sad what happened to the ADG I had probably a squadron of them get posted to my reserve Unit and some transfered to regular Army Infantry but some reason defence decided to disband and downsized them and rebranded them to Security forces. I really admire the CCT over SASR and The Commando's due to their unique skills And hearing the USAF version and their stories of calling bombs while their mates slept while being attacked. I'm not sure if CCT are widely known but they are the Hardest Special forces Unit to get into in Australia because After selection the training and eduction takes years to complete due to the complexity which is listed on the public ADF site. I also believe Scott Jones former Signals to Commando moved to CCT as there are photos of him with the CCT beret. I found it cool the Arty boys get JTAC quals now.
