Why people keep arguing about the 'lava is hotter than fire' thing... Ace jumps in to protect Luffy if he avoided the attack using his Logia powers Luffy will be dead. That was the purpose of this move to stop the attack

Because that was the reason stated for why it killed him. If it said Ace let the attack hit him to block it or Akainu used haki we wouldn't mention it. It is directly stated that he died because lava is hotter than fire which is why it is mentioned.

Considering people keep their clothes, pretty obviously. What's more interesting in this regard is how would a _zoan_ interact with that? The clothes of zoan users seem to adjust to them somewhat, but not perfectly, as seen with Kaku's hat.

Dipanjan Dutta I don’t it’s a theory. But the fruits are like containers for the devils themselves. When those containers are consumed, the being that consumed it becomes the new container. Since those new containers need a blood stream, I’d say it’s safe to assume they also have a life span. So the same should apply to the fruits themselves. Eventually they should rot and the power should transfer.

You're miss remembering Roshinota's death. The chest Law was in was taken by the family, and during the clash with the marines showing Law climbed out of the chest in the confusion, and Roshinota was just laying in the snow the whole time. Now you know :D!

Technically even if Kuma was brain dead his body should still have the fruit since some how you can give an inanimate object a Devil fruit but the again the objects we see that have devil fruits are all zones and by what have been observe with the smile users in Kaido's crew the animals have its own personality so it may be different when it comes to a paramecia/logia fruits being given to inanimate objects

Can't believe I didn't think of this earlier but since we know that a devil fruit can bypass reincarnation by being inside another viable container that could be how Blackbeard gained the Gura-Gura no mi. When he was covered by the tarp he turned intangible and absorbed Whitebeards body and since the devil fruit had a new container available that's how he absorbed it.

@@wowforever211 Even tho its not 100% confirmed, remember, Caesar left the apples around Smiley on purpose, which indicates that the power really goes to the nearest fruit, since he has scientific knowledge and would make sure he kept the Sara Sara no mi for later use. Also, Burges had a bag, probably full of normal fruits, in Dressrosa, he was pretty confident he could get the Gomu Gomu no mi from Luffy just by killing him. Anyways, from a storytelling perspective, Oda has been making very clear that the power tends to go to the nearest fruit, it wouldnt make any narrative sense for him to have included the Smiley moment if that wasnt the case. (Btw, the Black Beard pirates being able to consistently steal Devil Fruits pretty much confirms it)

I think that's because it may be a part of their body it's outside of it so maybe being outside the body makes it impossible to turn into one or maybe it's because of law's op op powers

1. The heart seems to be trapped by the Ope-ope no mi 2. Logias dont automatically turn to their elements, crocodile is the closest to that and he trained to do it reflexively, so he still has to consciously do it. She was not aware of her hearts situation, so she couldnt change it.

I highly doubt that the “type” of fruit matters in regards to Devil Fruit reincarnation because there are Devil Fruits we’ve seen that don’t even remotely resemble fruits. In addition to that, this manner of reincarnation would, without a doubt, be the laziest writing Oda has ever done because it relies solely on convenience...

I have a few ideas for your One Piece Isekai adventure 3. One of them is the most obvious, devil fruits. The second is the different Haki specialties. Third is dumb but is still an option, Race (like the long arm tribe, etc.) This is all I got right now, if I find more I will edit this. I was thinking about that too. But for example back in east blue, if arlong went a little more brutal and chomped a piece out of luffy, would he be a rubber shark now? Also whitebeard (and lets include caramel) was dead or killed in the process. Would ruffy die instantly or loose the power to arlong and be normal again? Just a scenario, just wondering ;)

I miss Ace every single day. 🔥 I love how much Tekking loves to tell the story of Nami killing Eric. He’s told the story on at least three separate occasions.
