More permanent, affordable housing is coming to Kalamazoo in the form of a former motel renovated into fully-furnished studio apartments. (Oct. 7, 2022)
Praise the Lord, I'm happy for Norita, I'm also bi-polar, I'm not working, I also need a studio, I need a job, I'm looking for a studio in San Bernardino
I have to really feel for her. I am a vet in Seattle, WA. Likewise, I, too, have fallen through the cracks more than once. I finally was placed in an SHA unit. Having all this space, bathroom, kit. Being able to know there is a door with a dead bolt. I have the key to the door. That everything you have in this messed up life is safe and secure in your OWN space. How society expects someone to rehabilitate their issues without a secure, safe place to live. Go gig.
It's a shame housing is nearly impossible for those that struggle. Sometimes there are management companies like this that step up to serve the community unlike the rent hike opportunitists driving up cost serving themselves only.
Wish more companies that have the resources to make this happen would do this…at least create just ONE place like this while you’re making millions on others.
Please do this in Grand Rapids… there are homeless people hiding around every single corner.. winter is coming and it is COLD. Nobody wants to sleep out in the cold.
You are so right, more companies need to be doing this. I believe, don't quote me now, that affordable housing and employment are a major component is helping with the homeless epidemic.
Yeah hotels of low quality, should be turnt into studio. Therefore their be overpricing the people in same why, lease apartments in complex are, but at least make it affordable. It worked 700$ a month not 1500$ in alot this hotels. We still have to wait , cause some. Fertility can out number man ability to build homes or houses in land. Everyone can argue shelter, but it will continue to be bondage , until we built on our land , and stop letting others nations enslaved us. That why it good to lived in building, center around nature, caves , cabins, igloo structures, can be beautiful and comfortable. Life can survive without, man ideology of what housing is, but their always try to twist it to someone don't want to work or people do better or get housing by working hard, it both a lie and deception. ❤
With stagnated wages, ever increasing cost of living and the western decline in marriages, I predict a almost societal wide shift to small apartment living
