Great interview gentlemen. I agree that there are many areas where co-operation between China and the US as well could be very good for both sides. The US is still an interesting market for China because it will grow from 330 million to 400 million people over the next 30 years. This represents a significant growth potential for foreign investment and at the same time there will be opportunities for American companies because of China's more affluent consumers. In other words a real win - win for both sides.

Cyrus, I am curious why you guys left China. I am in China since 2005 and love it here. No way I would go back to Europe. I have my family, job, friends here. Each time i visit Europe or the USA I feel stress and rushed. I am more busy in China but never have those feelings here. After a few days I already want to go home. ( China is home).

Hi Fred, as far as history is concerned China and Greece have a common denominator which is the fact that both countries can count our civilization history in millenniums instead of few hundred years. Furthermore, China is the birthplace of Eastern Civilizations while Greece is the birthplace of Western civilizations. This should explain why Greece has always a special appreciations and interest for Chinese tradition and long history, due to the strong bond between the 2 countries. On my experience of being 17 years in China, I believe that it is not easy for westerners to understand the Chinese mindset unless they live in China and niggle with Chinese people for at least 15 years.

They don't teach problem solving skills because they don't want the people to think independently. If people aren't encouraged to think for themselves they don't innovate. If the government doesn't allow more freedom of thought the country will never advance.
