This entire story tells my spirit to continue to stay busy. No matter if they see me or not keep grinding. It only takes one person who sees the work you put in to change your life. I thank you for your story

Currently on this journey as well. Been home for 10 years now after doing 7 years in prison. Got out went to community college, transferred to UCLA, studied abroad in Ghana, came back and lil sister in my ear about starting my own luxury custom bespoke footwear brand. I launched KOFFI NOIR in 2019 and haven’t looked back since. I very passionate about menswear & fashion and social justice work too at Urban Peace Movement in Oakland were I lead our Determination Black Mens Group. I am just grateful that that I had it with me to to persevere and go after the things that I wanted. Where style & my love for shoes for me are my vehicle to have important conversations like what we just heard today. This is supper dope man and inspiration. This just affirmed for me that whatever I am doing now with the brand, just continue building and telling my story.

There were a group of older men in prison that brought some of our team together and it's great to see this Brother bring his vision to fruition.
