Thank your government for that. I think it's too far gone to come back to pre-covid levels. You're best bet is to get a wage hike that coincides with the cost of living and goods hike and just accept the devaluation of any money you have saved/accrued. I work for Ford Motor company as an autoworker and make 31.65 an hour plus insurance, which cost about 10,000 a year. I'm full scale also.

The vast majority of people I've ever seen discussing EVs haven't wanted one. Infrastructure in my area isn't there yet. We're nowhere near ready for most people to drive one. Probably at least 20 years away from it at this point.

@@IJest East Coast and West Coast won't have a problem with EVs. Most men have strong egos and will break down and buy one because of performance. Car manufacturers have to make contracts with suppliers in advance for the 2035 mandate. Your looking at 2030 for ICE vehicles to be off the market for new car buyers. You guys don't have 20 years.

@@outkast40 Any of the EVs I was looking at were way out of my price range. I bought a new gasoline car that was still expensive but at least it's attainable and it was my dream car. There's a grand total of one mechanic in my area that works on EVs. You can't travel with them unless you're wasting all this time charging. I've seen all EV charging stations down for maintenance at the rest stops along the highway. We definitely are not moving along quickly for everyone to have these cars.

@@IJest Tesla has the only reliable chargers. The model 3 can be purchased for under 30 thousand and the model 2 will be 25 thousand before incentives in 2025. The government has announced more contracts for super chargers. Most will charge at home and will hardly ever use public charging. Your quickly running out of excuses. Charging time will cut down to 7 minutes on the magnesium batteries and phosphate batteries.

I want everything we gave Ford when Ford was crying poor poor pitiful me when Ford Executives made s**tty corporate decisions that cost Ford billions of dollars. Our contract concessions GAVE Ford millions of dollars on a silver platter. But, despite the massive amount of money Ford lost, Billy Boy Ford Jr. still got his multi-million dollar salary and bonuses. Plus, stock options, all the way to his Swiss Bank account, and his Dubai bank account. If the paper puppet CEO Jim Farley still had his grandfather alive and working at the Rouge Plant, you can bet the 3 teeth left in your mouth, Jimmy would OK everything the UAW wanted and throw in more fitfully of extras because grandpa Farley needed it. If Grandpa Farley was retired and still alive, all the Ford retirees would be getting Lincoln Town Cars for Christmas under their Christmas trees every year. But since Ford CEO Jim Farley has no daddy or Grand daddy alive working at Ford, he wants all the Ford hourly workers to live in a van down by the river, like his cousin Chris Farley always said on Saturday Night Live. And you would be too ignorant to work in an automobile plant. You'd never make it near lunch hour. @@rickprusak9326 The union had a looming strike with YELLOW trucking a few months back. They went bankrupt. If I were a top shareholder of Ford I would immediately look to move offshore and close down all operations in the US. This strike will make the cost of Trucks to raise exponentially on top of ridiculous interest rates. And I need a new pickup. No business can survive here. Our country is doomed. We are all doomed.

The price of anything for sale, anything to buy, is dependent on what the market is willing to pay.What you and I willingly will pay for a product. Whether it's a gallon of milk or a pair of shoes. How come I can buy a dozen eggs at my local Kwik Trip gas station at 99 cents a dozen, yet 2 blocks away, the local Walfart is selling a dozen eggs for $2.47? Same chickens who lay eggs but jacked up prices at Walfart, who publically claims they have the lowest prices. At Kwik Trip, bananas were priced at 29 cents a pound for the whole month of September. Walfart sold bananas for 70 cents a pound for one week, then jacked up the price much higher after the sale expired. How come area gas stations have different prices on gasoline? They all get their gasoline from the same oil refinery, just using different labeled gasoline tankers. People were buying vehicles without the critical microchip. Dealers made the vehicle buyers sign papers that absolved the dealer from future liability in purchasing their vehicles without the needed electric chip. Remember when not too long ago, people were buying vehicles thousands of dollars more than sticker prices? Car dealers wouldn't sell their vehicles at sticker price. Dealers were charging high dollar priced on many of their products because of the electrical chip shortage. Vehicles that were fully assembled were being sold at the highest dollar, and people were willing to buy those vehicles at the highest prices. So, in the near future, don't show your lack of intelligence by blaming the auto workers. If you really wanted something on the open market, you'd sell your mother's or youngest daughters' virginity in order to have something you view as the most important item to have in your picket, home or driveway.
