BNSF train H BRCNTW charges up the hill at Westmont, IL, with some special riders at the rear of the train - a pair of commuter passenger cars that once called Chicagoland home.
Discarded from Metra, then sold by Virginia Railway Express to the U.S. Army for its proposed passenger trains to move troops between Fort Lee and Fort AP Hill for training assignments, these bilevel Pullman gallery cars will get a 3rd chance at a new lease on life in the care of Railroading Heritage of Midwest America, better known as the Friends of the 261. The car numbers are USAX 402 and 404.
Skip to 1:40 to see the bilevels.

Metra is buying Pullman Standards back from MARC and VRE. Back in summer of 2015, I saw an entire train of MARC Bi-Levels that Metra got back and just today, I saw some VRE Bi-Levels sitting outside of the 47th Street Shops.
