I just had to tell you. I’m a 43 year old man who loves camping and the outdoors. I was 5 years Army and 15 year FF You remind me of my dad telling stories around the campfire. He passed at the age of 48 in 2001 But it seems like yesterday. I have ptsd as well. Lately I’ve been listening to your stories and calls at night when it’s time to unwind my brain as it kinda relaxes me a bit , I guess it’s like comfort food for the soul to me I guess is the best way I can put into words. Love the calls afterward so we can hear your original convo for ourselves. Pretty darn awesome. Thanks 🙏 for what ya do. God Bless !!!

Hi Chris, been watching your channel for a while now and I enjoy your stories immensely, and this story was pretty interesting to say the least. I live next to the Allegheny National Forest and also Allegany State Park in southwest NY, and I gotta say there’s pretty consistent reports of Sasquatch around here. Probably because it’s so heavily forested I’d imagine. Great channel and awesome content, sir!

I had a bigfoot encounter when I was a young teenager in the Catskills around 1982..It was in the town of Roxbury around dusk..It was reddish brown in color..I saw it near a stream next to an old concrete bridge that was partly collapsed inside the stream..It walked into the woods and was gone...I got scared and ran inside a nearby restaurant then went home about an hour later...Only time I ever saw one and will never forget it...

Me and my Sister observed one, for maybe 10-15 minutes, in the Smokey Mountains of TN. It seemed like an Eternity, as we watched it ripping leaves off of a bush, and eating them! We've never been so terrified, in our whole lives- before or since! I was too scared to run, too scared to stay- almost too scared to even breathe! It was a beautiful Reddish Brown, and had a distinctive "monkey-like" face, and pronounced Crown on top of its head. When we FINALLY summoned the courage to run, it let out the most God awful ROARRRRRRRR, that seemed to go on, forever, as it reverberated, down through the hollers! I now feel blessed to have had an encounter, but, it felt like a Nightmare, at the time! I think the hardest part was trying to reconcile what we were looking at?. Is not supposed to exist, it's just a Myth. A Monster... yet, there it is! I think that's another reason, why so few people are even able to take a photo. By the time you recover from the shock- it's usually LONG gone! By the time we got off the mountain to safety, I could finally let go, and broke down, into tears! My Sister started vomiting! We were in literal, physical Shock! They truly exist. Sorry to ramble on. Lol Have a great, blessed day!

I'm really wondering about that thump.. before it walked by the window..can these creatures just appear out of nowhere.. And land heavy.. I wonder so much about my forest night hike, & when a log crunched right behind me it was heavy.. I didn't hear a sound before or after.. the only thing I knew with certainty, was do not turn around.. I tried to stay calm in the midst of true panic.. increased my pace just slightly.. it was one singular sound.. very heavy loud crunch of some kind of log.. on the ground and about 6 feet behind me.. his story is spooky.. really spooky.. pretty recent happening for him too.. thankyou for sharing the phone call.. its really a treat to hear the actually person describe every detail of their experience..

Bobby, your friends and family should not dismiss your story. I am a few years older than you, live on Long Island, and also had a cabin in the catskills. My brother and I would end every weekend day with a night at the firepit. We would often hear the sound you describe as a boulder or bowling ball being dropped with a thud. Sometimes so close to the other side of the pit that we would get our crappy (by today's standards) flashlights and try to see what it was. the pit was built up against a drop off down into a ravine. We would hear the thuds, and sometimes they would be preceded by sticks snapping, as if something or someone large jumped out of a tree. If anyone knows the woods in that area, the ground is rocky, uneven, and covered in briars. We NEVER thought it could be people messing with us, as we were miles from the nearest home. our plot of land was one of 4 hunting cabins that were surrounded by state land. I had the house until 2001, and only a few years later did I kearn about wood knocks, something we would hear regularly but never thought about. On a few occasions we heard a large bang, kind of like you picked up a piece of firewood and threw it at our house wall, which was 2x4s with plywood siding. It made quite the bang and scared the hell out of all of us. I would love to compare notes, there are too many odd things to remember and jot down here and now.

Your and Mr. Ballen's forest stories are absolutely the best. I'm a firm believer in Bigfoot-three people I know claim to have seen one, all in different places. One of the fellas who saw one in Ohio is a PhD neuroscientist who has been published in Scientific American and other periodicals; he'd have no reason to make this up. Good vid, Chris. Tyvm. I grew up in Oregon, we lived in the hills between small towns back then. Not many people around us but a lot of forest. We used to have one or so come by the house every year, stay for a bit in the Autumn before moving on. I never saw it myself but I did hear it and sense its presence. My brothers and sister did see it along with our mother, who saw it twice. The time they saw it, it had slept in our barn. We knew something was in the barn as the horses wouldn't go near it and stayed outside all night long and next day so our mom told my brothers to go see what was in the barn but as they got close, it screamed like a cougar but it wasn't a cougar. They said it came to the open barn door but stayed in shadow and was huge. They all came into the house where I was watching tv by myself, I was about 9 years old then, my brothers 12 yrs old and they were freaked out which is how I found out about this. The second time all of us kids had moved out of the house, mom was living there alone. She was young, early 40s and one night it came to the living room window and stared at her. She didn't notice it at first but got a really bad feeling, was very scared but couldn't move. Finally it moved on and then she could move and got a shotgun. A couple days later the dog was missing and she found a skinned haunch of raw meat just outside the house, as if a gift. She said she thought it was what was left of the dog. I think they climb the trees sometimes, maybe even sleep up there. They're strong, faster than we are and some will kill us while others just stay away from us. I also think they're nomadic, following deer herds as they move along the countryside but they seem to avoid large towns and I think they avoid cities completely. They can move silently, stand still for long periods of time and are great mimicks so that could explain the old lady conversation you heard. Anyway, I didn't mean to write you a novel. Good vid, ty again. Be well.

Loved this story about Bobby I understand the hair standing up when he saw the head of this Sasquatch go by his window, can’t imagine actually seeing one! One night when I lived in New Mexico I was up around 2am and just walked into the bathroom (was the third level of our home, summertime and the window was open) all of a sudden I heard a loud woop. I knew all the animal sounds as we lived there 14 yrs. I had never heard it before it was a bit off in the distance and I couldn’t place the sound, until I heard an answering call not far from our house. Then I remembered recordings I’d heard on some of the BF documentaries. Was sooo glad it wasn’t when I was out with my horses! Some nights they would be so spooked. We were living just outside the Lincoln National Forest. Anyway, love your stories and keep on hiking😊

Keep hiking and looking out for one or more and hope you run into a friendly one. Bring your pal Jeanette on your shows more. I think I told you maybe a year ago I had an encounter with one or something else and it was scary as hell when I was out walking on a lonely Country Road bewhy a lot of woods. Something was following me from a distance maybe two or three blocks behind me and it was dark then so I started walking a little faster and it did too so I started jogging and it did too so I took off like a bat out of hell and so did it and my adrenaline kicked in and I swear I was taking 4 or 5 ft leaps and it was keeping Pace with me and then I finally out distanced it or it slowed down or stopped. I didn't smell or hear anything like a voice or heavy breathing. Sure glad it didn't catch up to me or I wouldn't be here telling you this Maybe. I'm 84 now but I was young then in my twenties. I normally wasn't scared of anything but this changed me. Well that's it Chris and thanks much, so appreciate your episodes. Take care, God bless and over and out.

This story was told very well and frightening. I hope one day bigfoot will show himself without harm to anyone. As I always say, I don't think bigfoot is looking for trouble. I have a feeling that they are afraid of humans as we are afraid of him or them. It's obvious there are many of them around. I like how that guy talked, it was New Yorkeese, but it was very articulate. And it really added a lot of authenticity to the story. People from all over the country talked a little bit different. And this was exactly what someone from his area would sound like. I like your stories by the campfire but you should have somewhere you do the interviews to there's another RU-vidr named Terry Carter who does a lot of interviews on things like this, treasure hunting, out of place archaeology and even Bigfoot stuff. He does a lot of interview with people and has them tell their stories. You might consider doing this more often to have a change of variety. You are a really good interviewer. And it really makes the story come alive.

I'm a retired NYPD supervisor, over the years I heard hundreds of cop B.S. stories. Usually, the stories had to do with,; why guys were late for work, how they lost the department radio, how they wrecked the patrol car, why they weren't where they were supposed to be, or how they had no idea who the female was that showed up at the precinct earlier in the day asking for them. I don't know this guy, but in my opinion, he's speaking the truth. BTW, I thought that I had a heavy New York accent; this guy is a classic.

@@Gri03 We got 'em in the Otay Mountains east of San Diego and up in Mendo County 100+ miles north of S.F., out in the Yolla Bolly-Middle Eel wilderness but that's way out in the wilderness areas. I heard a story of one picking through trash in the Santa Cruz mountains just west of Silicon Valley.

Chris, I just found your channel, awesome stories, listened to your personal story about your experience near Red Peak, now Bobby’s story, I can identify with him, I’m a retired state trooper from New Mexico and I have heard things and felt extremely uneasy on certain calls in rural areas when I was in uniform; alone with no backup available at night, and it wasn’t the living humans that concerned me; boy this brings back memories! Thank you for sharing! New Fan here for sure 👍🏼

Has anyone heard of dogman encounters? I'm pretty sure it was what my bf in hs saw next to a creek bed in Iowa. I always thought it was a Bigfoot until I heard a description of the other and it fit. Love the channel! I listen while I do remodeling jobs on my house. 😊❤

I have a camp in upstate Pennsylvania about 40 miles from the New York border.Your not crazy.About every 3 years they pound on the walls and do the foot stomps you spoke of.This place is remote in the Endless Mountains. It seems like the years when we have the most coyote activity we have the Bigfoot activity. There’s some kind of correlation there.I firmly believe they have some strange relationship with coyotes.

I had a creature in my backyard that bump ups to the woods. I went out early in the morning to water the plants on the patio as i walked to the plants on the table I was met with a large deep growl that made my whole body vibrate and it caused the patio concrete floor vibrate. I froze and it was still dark at 5:45am. The creature was every bit of 8ft very muscular and stared straight at me. This creature was not from Earth because it’s characteristics could kill anything known to men on earth. If looked at me and sniffed the air and took off like a jet or bullet. Nothing known can move that fast. My advice to your listeners don’t ever ever go into dark or into the woods by yourself and if you do go into the woods listen to hear if you hear crickets or other animals and if you do then your ok but if it’s a complete silence don’t go into the forest or woods all there is is danger

I had lived in that mountainous area years ago. Growing up there, I would hear local stories about Sasquatch(s) being seen on certain mountain ranges. However, I had a first hand account from an individual (this person was grounded, mentally stable and well versed in hunting and knowledgeable in the outdoors) and I knew them well. When they shared their encounter with me, I knew they were telling me about a true experience they had. They were truly disturbed by it. It not only made them question their own mental state but effected their religious faith. This was so disconcerting and effected them mentally they did not return to the back yard into woods (which was part of their daily life) and had difficulty going out into the woods after their experience. They did not go back out berry picking again.

NO personal experience here, but lots of years of listening to stories like this ... Given the tree damage and the massive thump sound, I wonder if the Sasquatch are climbing and sitting in some of the trees around his house (and then the thump is when they land, climbing down.) Sasquatch are known to use tree seats for observing the area in other parts of the country/world, though I don't what kind of trees they prefer. And the "little old ladies"? Could it be younger Sasquatch talking to each other...? Other witnesses discuss the "Samurai chatter" --- just my two cents' worth -- I totally believe this gentleman and thanks, Chris for the lead in!

I’ve just read a comment about a man recalling his late Father telling him stories and relating his memories to your story telling. I was actually thinking the same, my Dad would always read to me as a child, before going to sleep, and listening to you Chris brings back lovely memories. Please keep on with the stories 👍 Thanks from the UK
