Hi Guys,
I tell the story about David who as an 11 year old was at a summer camp near Mammoth California. David and a few friends along with an adult went on a weekend backpacking trip to some high mountain lakes. While backpacking they experienced a series of strange events that didn't make sense until much later. The events turned out to be obvious Sasquatch sign!
Keep Hiking!

What a horrible thing for that 11-year-old young boy David to have experienced and witnessed. A torn-apart deer! I'd have nightmares just about that alone. I absolutely love story time with you, Chris. Something to look forward to.

Although the deer was “still warm,” the stench could have come from it. I’ve field dressed enough deer to know that some *reek* when opened up, and if the deer in the story was “torn in half” as stated, there could easily be stomach or intestine contents strewn about which would of course be absolutely rank. Just a simple consideration. Great stuff!
@KyDove8
@KyDove8 Год назад
You are correct but in most Big Foot stories there is a stench associated with it.
@idid138
@idid138 Год назад
That's a good point. Well, something knocked down a healthy pine, tore the deer in half and carried it along to their camp area, following & watching the group. Maybe bigfoot stink like this from putting the dead animals on their shoulders?
@iservHim
@iservHim Год назад
@@KyDove8 That's true! And since he mentions the stench later as well, it probably wasn't coming from the deer. I just wanted people to know that freshly d.e.a.d. animals also stink sometimes haha. No biggie
@iservHim
@iservHim Год назад
@@idid138 Haha this is a good theory. but yeah, I'm not necessarily saying that the stench *was* coming from the deer, I'm just saying it could have been when we first found it. That said, in this story, the stench seems to *not* have been from the deer since it came up later too

Good Evening Chris, back when I was younger, my grandpa and I used to camp in the Okanagan Wenatchee National Forest. We had heard different noises at night back then, I always felt safe with him. My grandpa used to tell us kids stories about how he used to see unusual 😮 animals in the forests, he said that they just want to be left alone, being in their domain. He told us that never cross into someone's territory. I feel for these kids, to have something that close to their camp, glad they were safe.

Yet again it seems that the sasquach meant no harm, it just wanted its privacy and to collect its kill. In all of these stories, although the sasquach may try to drive the person/people out of its area, they don't seem to use violence. Intimidation maybe, but not direct violence. If they wanted to kill people, they could do so easily. Of course maybe unexplained disappearances could be explained by sasquach who go further than intimidation, but there is no proof of that. I'm inclined to think they are curious and thinking creatures (even though they could do with deodorant).

Hi y'all!! After watching Chris' videos for a couple weeks I finally got out there for the first time in maybe 6 years!! No camping, but I walked 22 miles today! The furthest I could go as an adult after having my daughter and gaining some was 12 miles, then I fell and hurt my hip and hadn't really tried since. But I've lost about 45lbs since then and we walk 3-6 miles a couple times a week, so I figured we'd give it a shot and try to reach the national forest picnic grounds. And we did! I got the classic sunburn on my face, but we didn't run out of water, I kept my daughter fed and she said she felt fine and did great! We took some breaks obviously, but it was about 8 hours of walking. No difficult hiking, just following the road. I did see a huge snake, but it was asleep and didn't try to eat me 😅 Our next goal, after some practice and we've gotten stronger, we want to try to reach the camp grounds that are about 3 miles further. But I'm kind of proud of us, 1 mild sun burn and 2 blisters between the both of us and a whole lot of miles. For us anyway. We did meet some backpackers that said they're going from Mexico up to Canada!! We just went for a picnic, lol. I hope everyone else was able to enjoy the outdoors in some way this weekend, even if it's watching through the living room window or videos like Chris' 💜 And wow, two stories today and both so scary.

That was a great encounter story/interview . I've camped in that area and back in the day you wouldn't see any people there . . . ever . That whole Mammoth Mt. - Area has been a bigfoot hotspot forever , Laurel Canyon , Lake Mary , the Horseshoe trail , etc. There was a scary encounter at The Devils Postpile which is about ten miles west from Lake Valentine , a couple was chased out of the area and had rocks and tree branches thrown at them the husband said a branch the size of a 2 liter bottle of soda just missed his head by inches . The couples story was on one of those Cryptid - Ufo channels a few years ago the main story was about UFO's being seen near Mono Lake . Be safe out there Base Camp Chris . . . remember the bigfoot fear the camera more than the gun . Peace

Back in the 70s and early 80s even the town of Mammoth was a ghost town and now unfortunately it’s overpopulated. Every place you’ve mentioned I’ve been to because of the camp that we used to go to. We used to go down to a place called rainbow Falls, it was beautiful.

Found your posts about 3 weeks ago and I’ve been listening since then. Love your stories. I believe in big foot, would never want to meet one. Thanks for telling your stories that even a 74 yr old woman can listen to and enjoy.

Who continues to camp in an area where there's a fresh kill? No matter what animal killed the deer, that's incredibly dangerous.

Good video, it's weird to me that as many of these "encounters" or whatever no one has ever run across a den or shelter or something that they might live in. Not saying I don't believe the stories it just seems odd that all across the country people have these encounters and no one ever sees a home.

This story bears some resemblance to a few others, but it left me wondering why they didn't get the fear level 'beamed' at them the way grown adults usually do, whether they see it or not. Perhaps the reason they didn't get this or the rock throwing or the howling or downed trees or thrashing about is firstly because they left the deer where it was on the way up and on the other 2 occasions. Plus they were mostly kids and this does seem to have an effect on bigfoot behaviour, where curiosity seems to override hostility. I do think though that if they'd buried the deer or taken it, they would've got a different response. You're compiling quite a library now Chris. Long may it continue. I was listening to Donovan Dread and some of the accounts if true tell of creatures 100 times worse than bigfoot, and i believe those account for many of the disappearances of kids and adults in the national parks and forests. So be on guard for red eyes and adult-sized humanoid bat type beings with wings and also long pale hairless humanoid-gollem type things walking on all 4's and also the sound of a child or woman calling for help that if you were to follow it would just lead you further into the forest. Run like hell or Start shooting and ask questions later if you see those.

They don't even need that, they are nocturnal. Fun fact, during the Korean War, 120,000 chinese soldiers crossed the Yalu River undetected and began assaulting Marine positions. It is not hard to go undetected when you are a nocturnal creature

The fact that the bigfoot showed empathy by giving back some of the kill says something.

Chris, I love the stories! Yes, if the forest suddenly goes dead silent--not a good sign! Get the heck out! This IS one thing we noticed in our encounters too. In our Mt. Hood National Forest encounter we were at a newly discovered lake, now called Lost Lake. There was lots of nature noises--however--when we encountered the family of Big Foot--the forest had suddenly gone silent. In our sheer terror--we did not notice this ourselves. It was my mother who remembered this--she commented on how everything had gone suddenly dead silent--it creeped her out. Then Dad noticed it too. This one thing, and then four crying scared, freaked children--finally put some fire in them to pack up the car and get going! In our encounters in the Coastal Rain Forest area--we four kids marveled at how silent the area was, no bird sounds, even. We were from the noisy city. WE craved the calm and quiet. So we really enjoyed the serenity of the woods and the quietness. It would only be much later on in our adulthood(s) that we would recognize this as a sign of why this area was restricted. In the camping area, the forest was alive with sound--but step into this section of the State Park--it grew oddly silent. Bend trees, and mediium sized to large up ended trees knocked over with roots showing--good evidence of a large creature knocking them over--we had no clue. We were just children. The only noise was the wood knocking, which my brothers would answer in kind. ONLY ONCE did we hear "whoop whoop" and all of us whoop whoop back and laughed. Never realizing with what we were engaging. ONLY later in life did we realize. It was our secret play ground. WE unintentionally fed our friend--who left us gifts. Which we later realized is called gifting. We accidentally did all the right things to befriend this thing, coming twice a year--this thing never hurt us. Never physically showed itself to us, but certainly knocked to us as soon as we showed up the very first day in it's territory. A series of knocks, my brothers could imitate easily back. Those same rhytm of knocks would echo back. It was like a signal, "Hi we are here friend, and it was a sign of welcome to us--ah, you are back and all is well." WE left the customary picnic lunch in a paper bag on the stump, left in it's place would be the customary rock. WE would never wait and spy to see who would come either. WE just did not do that Chris. We went off to play in our area, and hike and go check out the view of the coastline. IT was a high up place about 500 yards or more above the camping grounds. Any way, all of your stories continually remind me of little tidbits of memories I have forgotten, and then realize, "oh yeah" I remember that too. So I really enjoy your channel. Thanks so much!! Blessings to you from Oregon.
