Yep running that peanut farm, and brewing Billy Beer. You ever hears of Billy Beer? vCarter was president before your mom and dad ever met. Grow up,join the Army or something.
I had the privilege of working with Jimmy Carter in 1976. In the 43 years since I first met him, he has never let me down, How I miss his respect for people, his kindness, his honesty, his intelligence and his humility.
That's amazing! I have always admired him and felt he was greatly unappreciated by many people. He is a man that truly tried to lead the country with honesty and grace both as POTUS and since he left the White House in 1980. 93 years old and still out building houses! We all can do so much more.❤
Wow! What an honor to work with him and get to know him at a personal level. I admire how he has lived his life in an unassuming way by just quietly doing what needs doing. Mr. & Mrs. Carter have given selflessly of themselves for this country and around the world, without fanfare or acknowledgement. They have truly made a huge difference in the lives of so many people. God bless them.
When I say blessed and highly favored, President Jimmy Carter and his wife exemplify that indeed. 70+ years of marriage and still making a difference in the lives of others. Well done, I'm certain God is pleased.
We could all learn something from Jimmy Carter. 1. He believed in telling the truth. 2. He believed in negotiating peace talks rather than invading sovergn countries for oil and corporate greed. 3. He believed in empathy and compassion for the poor, not demonizing them like second class citizens.
Sharon Rinkiewicz exactly i wish republicans and democrats would get along im an independent but im thinking of switching to a democrate for puerto rico
@@morganhillfightclub2996 I agree I think America needs to become more united. It made me very sad what happened in Puerto Rico as well. It hurts to watch human beings suffer with a lack of help. I wish Trump's administration did way more. Jimmy Carter is a great man and an inspiration.
I love the Carters!!! They are selfless. There is no greater joy than working on Habitat houses with others. And to see the joy of the occupants! Priceless!!! Thank you President Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter for being such fine examples of consistant leadership. Thank you for your demonstrating high values that we all can learn from. Thank you for your service to others!!!
I agree!!! And he is so honest , even when discussing his own presidency - what a great man! It brings tears to my eyes- he also has cancer (brain) and I guess it went to his liver, but not sure it's aggressive type like John McCain. His wife looks so lovely! Still beautiful! WOW
@@Owlero A great big peanut farm. As a Georgian, I can say his family was, but he broke off to grow peanuts and a substantially less affluence. But, all of that was by choice. Sua sponte'. That's what makes him an exemplary person and his actions to aid others and create peace made him great. So yeah Cotton Carter was rich, so was Bush's family, and virtually all the others. Point?
Jimmy Carter is a good man even thou I do not agree with a lot of political views. You cannot deny somebody's greatness as a man even if you disagree with their political views.
Good for you Robert...I'm in the same boat as you (good man but I didn't agree with many of his policies), and I wish we in this country could get back to the place where most people agreed with us.
I was so fortunate to be able to work on the Jimmy Carter Summer Work Project 1994, on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in Eagle Butte South Dakota! Jimmy was 70 at that time! I will turn 70 in two more years! He was so kind & friendly to all the volunteers ! He is my definition of a REAL CHRISTIAN! So much RESPECT for Jimmy Carter! Our Navy family salutes you Sir!
Overall Carter was a mediocre president, historians will probably rank him in the middle of the pack till the end of time, however that doesn't mean he can't be someone's hero. Carter was easily one of the most honest and humble men to ever hold the presidency, that's why he's worth respecting and why many see him as a hero in today's politics despite his shortcomings as president. Vermin like Trump can only dream of being as respected as Carter is today.
Agree. One thing interesting about Carter was his entire life of achievements : graduate US Naval Academy - 3rd in his class, commanded an attack sub during ww2, commander of the 2nd commissioned nuke sub after ww2, doctorate in nuke physics . A very great man .
I don't agree with some of what he did while in office, but President Carter may well be the most selfless and compassionate man to ever occupy the White House. He and his wife are wonderful, big-hearted people.
Kisses to Mr. and Mrs. Carter. Thank you for your hard work, your charitability, and most importantly, your honesty. It is very refreshing! May you live long, healthy, and well.
I'm blown away by the fact that Jimmy Carter was President before I was born (born in '82), and he's still here with us. Thank you President Carter for your service and all that you do 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
He said that they called a contractor and they didn't show up?!...for a great former President of the United States, he shares the same problems of us normal folks. I just found this very amusing! God Bless Jimmy Carter!
A Good man with great character! If only our men and women in office today still lived by those simple important principles of character. This country would be a different place. God Bless
Evan Underwood I hope that remains true. How many actual millionaires do you actually know of that will gladly go out of their way to support (even more so build) for those who truly need assistance? That organization is mainly for vets, so I’m aware and was amazed at the fact the those celebs in general were providing aid. Not only that, but have been for years without cause for publicity. That in itself, is a reasonable cause in my book!
Is there nothing in this world about this guy that will shock you about him?! well, get ready to hear this. He has made an unforgivable mistake on helping ayatollah overthrow the shah of iran, its not a made up story, its actually a fact, he handled every military and diplomat situations poorly, a sorry excuse of a president. Please, rethink your life already.
Great interview! I wasn't aware of Dave's involvement with Habitat for Humanity--cool! Again, we see the amazing difference between a President like Jimmy Carter and Trump. Carter has been working for his country in a truthful and honest way for his entire life. He never lied to the American people. I've always admired him for his goodness, selflessness, ntelligence, and grace. The Carters are national treasures.
I certainly do respect and admire the Carters for their truth-telling, their humility and their example of kindness, generosity and perserverence through their volunteerism.
Jimmy Carter is doing something worthwhile for not just America, but for the world. I have always loved how he cared for the people, and not about himself. He will continue to have a legacy that will go on through the ages. Keep working hard, President Carter.
Man, Jimmy Carter's tough as nails. 93 years old and walking around a construction site like he was 40. All in the name of charity and good will. It's painful to see people criticize such a humble guy like Carter.
The fact remains that Jimmy Carter showed a complete lack of wisdom when he was president. For instance, he is the instigator of the the bank policies that led people to go heavily in debt buying houses they couldn't afford instead of building equity over a number of years the way my parents did. His fingerprints are all over the housing loan crisis that the Republicans warned about but got the blame for. Until Barack Obama came along Jimmy Carter richly deserved the reputation of being the worst president the USA ever had. I just hope the American voters don't buy the lies about Trump's performance the news media is now circulating.

Carter still going strong after all these years he is the spokesman for Habitats for Humanity. A few months ago Carter and Rosalynn scared us when they passed out on the job but Carter never gives up he keeps going one house at a time.
If you truly want to feel good about yourself and life itself, follow the selfless route of service to others. The feeling one gets from being helpful to another is way better than any drug ever. You don't even need any money to do it either, just lending a hand where you see need can be a terrific high.
It is such a pleasure to see one of our respected Presidents. Such a humbleness he exemplifies. He and all the former presidents understands that being the President, takes on the role of service to the America people. Government was established to take care of America. That includes people. Some kind of way this present government wants to rewrite the story. America is a blessed country, and it is the responsibilty of the American people to make sure we elect Presidents who will continue our legacy of being a blessed and powerful country. The story has already been written. Just ask the family members of those who have died for this country. Or watch the tapes. It will make you appreciate America, and the men who died from protecting it.
First time I voted at 18 was for Mr. Carter in 1976. Great American. Moral Man. The current piece of crap in the White House should watch and learn. Bless you President and Mrs. Carter.
Years from now , I think historians will re-evaluate, the accomplishments of his Presidency, and he will regarded as one of our greatest Presidents. A lot of people are unaware
I read an autobiography he wrote that was mostly about his childhood and his early years and it was really fascinating. He describes the food in detail that they ate on the farm he grew up on even though it was during the Depression . and they really ate wonderfully even though they worked incredibly long and hard hours .
I LOVE THIS MAN... I WAS 7 OR 8 YRS. OLD WHEN HE BECAME PRESIDENT AND EVEN THEN I KNEW HE WAS A SPECIAL MAN. GOD BLESS JIMMY, HIS LIFE AND HIS FAMILY😍😇
Years from now I think historians will re-evaluate his Presidency, and he will be regarded as one of our greatest Presidents because of his efforts for peace, for the legislation he got passed, which Americans are still benefiting from today, and for telling the truth.
