Emma started out doing covers like this on RU-vid and became the biggest RU-vidr from the Netherlands, ultimately amassing over 2 Million followers. She has since appeared on the Dutch TV show "Beste Zangers" where singers from various genres sing other artists songs back to them giving them a personal twist. She absolutely brought Floor Jansen (of Nightwish fame) to tears with her version of Floor's, "Strong". Since then she has become an award-winning singer in her own right.
I first heard her on a season of the Dutch show Beste Zangers. The same season as Henk Poort and Floor Jansen. Beautiful duet with Henk kills me. She was a You Tube channel singer who hit it big
Emma Heesters also besides doing the beautiful duet with Henk Poort, "Vivo Per Lei", on the Dutch TV Show, Beste Zangers 2019, also sang one of Floor Jansens original songs to her on the show and made Floor cry. The song was called, "Strong". You should really listen to both of these wonderful songs even if you don't react to them. They are really heart felt type songs and Emma delivers on both of them. Both are available on RU-vid.
Great reaction, I agree with your 8. But if you really want to see some sensational and unique by Emma, check then her Indian covers, starting with the song Shayad. She started these covers at the beginning of corona time in March 2020. Now she has produced the insane number of 74 Indian covers and by this she is very wel known at the Indian subcontinent, not only in India, but also in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sril Lanka.
I don't know all of her songs but I loved this one Henk Poort & Emma Heesters - Vivo Per Lei | Beste Zangers 2019, it is about loving music and how music is always there for you.
I've got that Glen Miller album over here in the UK, that aside she did a decent cover. Very few people can improve on the originals and it's not really a good thing to compare the two against each other. I tend to compare cover against cover that gives a better and more level starting point.
I loved it. She would have gotten a 10 from me. I felt it. But I admit that I am a pushover for a great voice. I especially liked that final extended power note.
I don't know, comparing it to the original, it's a little unfair. The original is recorded and produced in numerous takes and probably sampled from the takes. This version is more, what i would called "raw."
Honest reaction , thats good. Do we need more of this kind of artists ? Clever, pretty - but is there any more ? It reminds me a lot of what that soulless Eurovision Song Contest is full of .

I like her voice and thought she sang the song well. I'm sorry, though this song is kind of polarizing. Either you love it or you can't stand it. I too would rather hear something else from her.
Great reaction, but lets be real here. You keep braggin' about your friends voice and how great you think it sounds, while "we", the viewers of your channel, don't have that comparison. I think that's a little bit unfair, as we don't get to form our opinion about your friends vocals. I'll give you this though, there is no match between Emma and Celine's vocals as Celine is far superior to Emma. But like I stated before, we can't compare Emma's vocals with your friend' as we'd never heard her sing. I tried to be as gentle as possible with my critique on your reaction, and if any of my remarks offend you (or your friend), I'm sorry but that's my honest opinion.
