I agree with you, she did sound pitchy. Also I thought she sounded a little nasally. I'm just spoiled by Angelina Jordan. She doed such an amazing job with this song, even better than Adele. I think I'll go back and listen to Angelina's version.

You are right. Not an easy song. We all have to start somewhere. With that said, someone should tell her that she will never be a star. I say that with 99.99% confidence.

This might not have been one of your better ideas. There were actually parts of this that I enjoyed, but those parts were too few.

I think she probably has a really good voice, but you can't tell through the technical problems with the recording. First, the backing track is way too loud and drowns her out. Second the recording quality of her voice imparts a lot of noise into her sound. It would be nice to hear technically well produced recording in order to give her a fair chance. You could tell she had a few interesting vocalizations, but hasn't yet got them under control, and she tried to pack them all into this one song. I hope she has/finds a good vocal coach; with a bit of direction she might thrive.
