Before I went to school for pre law I thought attorneys were smart. Then while in school I would meet or work with a multitude of attorneys and I realized that some were just good at doing the work to get a degree and pass the bar but actually had zero original thought, zero creativity, and ethics were an after thought.
If it's that way in the law field, imagine what it's like to have been a public school teacher for 26 years. We're talking some seriously mediocre folks who had to have cheated their way even to get a simple four year degree.
once people take a bite into the pie of Power... & it goes to their head & heart in corruption? ... the power that corrupted them in the first place surrounds them until Justice Comes knocking on their door... it's Opening so Justice Can Walk Through. ThankGod @@susanperry4177
You pause before answering because it puts you in control of the rhythm instead of the lawyer. The person who sets the speed of the conversation is the one who controls the conversation.
His responsibility is to answer questions honestly, and not play gamesmanship. I would say that for all witnesses. It shows bias, and that is not what he is there for as then he calls attention to credibility. Attorney service advocate for the client. The witness’s job is to answer truthfully
The beautiful part of this exchange is the fact that everyone in the room could easily see his deliberate avoidance to answer. His lack of cooperation is apart of his testimony that might even get used in closing arguments.
@@LAFITZ10 do you think today they will be able to have a witness testify beyond circumstantial evidence or will it be another 8 hours of Buzbee chainsaw massacre
It will be so satisfying to watch Ken Paxton take the 5th in his deposition. I hope all the senators who abused their oaths are shaking in their boots!
He told the truth. How he chooses to answer any questions on the stand is HIS CHOICE. And after being a Texas Ranger for almost 50 yrs I'm sure he has had his fair share of dealings with crooked defense lawyers like this one right here.
@@chrispavin1373 - done licking his boots? Edit: he also lied by omission. He admits his lawyer provided misinformation to the board while representing him, and he made no effort to correct it. He's a dirty cop.
@@chrispavin1373 he's refusing to answer questions, answering questions that haven't been asked, playing game the entire time he's being questioned. But it's the lawyer who's the "crooked" one. I'm willing to bet you're one of those ACAB/"Defund the police," morons too
You see news of dirty cops getting caught some getting away with their crime but when you have an officer who does his job diligently and some crooked politicians oust them , that’s a crime like instead of recruiting more like him they the corrupt would rather have a corrupt force they can control. That’s all we ask of them , do your job as an officer and keep your oath. Nothing more.
*What is the UTILITY in "throwing the questioner off" if the PURPOSE is SIMPLY to RELAY the TRUTH?!* Stop playing games and wasting everyone's time and taxpayer money!
@@jwbhtx1 In an impeachment trial. In court the defense lawyer would've been talked to by the judge for asking the witness to speculate, for asking leading questions ("you never had any intention to do a proper investigation?"), antagonizing the witness ("are you an intelligent person") or simply testifying ("Are you aware that is correct").
If he was dealing with "liars" he wouldn't have to try to throw people off, he would just answer the questions. Don't forget that communism comes for the ones who support it FIRST.
You apparently didn't see the rest of the cross exam. And shouldn't cops be honest and sincere on the stand rather than devious and subversive of justice?
No he did not LMFAO watch this full exchange, the Rangers smile got wiped away very quick and all of those lawyers all 17 them shut up quickly and stop smiling as well. He got annihilated after his remark lol. That part was actually funny and brutal how quickly the Ranger realized he f'd up lol.
Here you see the good ole boy system on full display !! Not taking away from his legend status but he obviously forgot that he’s actually working for Paxton !!! Paxton all the way the best AG in the country !!
This TX ranger should have been on the BRAIDY list for corrupt lying cops 50 years ago!! How many innocent men & women went to prison for his lying on the wittness stand or for not doing a fair impartial investigation of a crime!!!!!!!!!
