Former Westside Pavillion mall named new UCLA research hub

The formerly known Westside Pavilion mall now has a new purpose. On Wednesday, UCLA announced its plan to transform the 700,000 square-foot property into a research hub, expected to bring together scholars, corporate partners, government agencies and start-ups. The project is expected to finish in five years. Tracy Leong reports for the NBC4 News on Jan. 3, 2024.

California isn’t Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley is in Northern California. This UCLA Research hub is in Los Angeles.

Right imagine human beings having a sense of priority these days and actually doing something about them, instead of just expanding upper class nonsense. California is about the last place to find people with a sense of priority or a will to change. Won't be long before that entire state devolves into total anarchy and don't think it can't happen.

It's not either or but I agree! The problem can and should be solved through massive investment in public, working/middle-class housing projects, as well as ADU's, tiny houses and micro apartments... There should be housing for any and all budgets and household sizes. This isn't rocket science. It's basic decency and economics...
