Cameras caught looters running out of several Santa Monica stores on Sunday as they carried out armfuls of merchandise that belonged to businesses, big and small.
The people that are looting and rioting and causing damage to stores and peoples properties aren’t protesters they are criminals do not mix protesters with criminals they are taking advantage of the situation and chaos to commit a crime

This happened before. If we learned we'd pick up guns like korea town residents did. Those pictures and license plates wont do shit in court. Especially in california.

Yup, why I am no longer a liberal! Liberty is one thing. Lawlessness is another ballgame. These people are downright thugs, and non contributors to society so they should be caged, yes. These 400 people need to be charged with the full extent of damage. Anytime a new person is caught, they can help pay the bill. Thats the only way to teach looters. They need to make these business owners whole.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis, California's leadership are seeking to close two state prisons. And that's after the California prisoners housed out of state are being ordered back and private prisons holding state prisoners are also to be closed. Where will all these prisoners go...down to overpopulate county jails or just unleashed on the 'safe' streets. Way to go, California!
NOBODY leaves the money in the cash registers!! I find that hard to believe! Most businesses have money bags, deposits for the day, drop box at bank, then working cash you put in bag in safe or take it home!
I’m so sick of hearing “the majority aren’t residents”. How is that relevant? They should have the full force of the law imposed on them regardless. Instead I’m hearing mayors are telling their police forces to hold back which is disgusting behavior if true
They were organized, the ones who tried our stores had crow bars and bolt cutters came in cars in groups had a lookout as well. They did not intrude any of my local stores.
This is extremely scary and pathetic that a group can organize such hate and violence and get away with it. Absolutely unacceptable. Is the USA 🇺🇸 now prepared if this happens again. This was a extremely scary situation for many people and nothing was done. This country is fucked up!

hard to catch people when for the past 2 months we all been told that we need to wear masks when we step out (masks are forbidden from being worn in a store btw )
I don't know why more store owners don't physically defend their shop. I think that even two people being out front, especially with weapons, would deter a great deal of looting

What’s the point of looting a restaurant? What’s in there they want so much? Most owners I’m guessing clear out their cashiers for the night. Hope they make sure their valuables are safe
