[Former WR 16h 9m] NGRSG All Bosses Ashlands | Valheim Speedrun Pt. 2

It's our second time speeding our way through the Ashlands and we see a killer segment 1, some new/refined strats and a 30-minute overall time improvement with only a little extra salt.
This is an edit to remove breaks for a slight increase in watchability.

Your comedic timing in this episode was a-whole-nother level of funny. I had a lot of good laughs at your quick, dry humor, you're so funny. 🤣 Also, this run showcases another one of your amazing skills: navigating your obstacle course of a base! Just when I think, "Wow, how can he even handle this?" you chop a million trees and add another layer to the conglomeration, lol. ‼ The mist dungeons in this episode were craaaaazy, wow! And you are as phenomenal at this game as ever. Really! 🤯 Excited to move on to part 3...

Yeah there are firm camps of people that find me funny and people that definitely do not and while I understand both I'm glad that both you and I are in the former 😂 Upon reading the second bit I was like, "wait, which base is this one?" so I flipped to a random time, which happened to be 1:08:09 and then pretty much instantly: "Ohhh. Oh yeah. Yup!" Haha, who would've thought that would be a necessary skill?! Dude. Yeah. Omg. Scary stuff! 😱

4.09.00 I felt that 'no' in my bones. 'Incredibly not okay' indeed 😬! Can't imagine how long it took you to remove all the breaks and render everything in this.... i'm just starting out and it takes me hours just to go through 2 hours of stream let alone 16 hours 😅 so I really appreciate the work that must have went into this too - let alone the length of the attempt itself. (Due to the nature of the game I didn't even know Valheim speedrunning was a thing!) I don't usually watch long videos but I've really enjoyed dipping in and out of this one and your first one, your sense of humour is great and the minimal commentary really helps me to watch what you are doing (and learn to be less of a noob myself)! Thanks for putting this out there, I look forward to seeing more!

I take fairly long breaks so I can usually scrub through pretty fast to find the bits where my player is just idle. The edit itself just takes a second, but yeah, like you guessed the rendering takes a long time so I just try to go touch some grass or something while my pc is crankin'. Glad you're enjoying!

I'm very curious, Thread... how did you know that you were safe to get those multiple hits in on the Queen with Mistwalker? Is it a period where she loses interest because she can't find you, so it re-aggros with a nice little chunk of damage? If that's the case, how do you know when you are safe to engage? Love the speedrun. I know you have newer ones now, but my life is crazy busy and I wanted to finish the one I started. :') (Also, I saw those power combos on the Queen. Good stuff ;) )

Thanks! If she has Line of Sight (LoS) and is not in 'flee' mode, she can attack. She knows where you are whether she has LoS or not. This is why she'll get up against the wall at the entrance if you're there. If you damage her a bunch while she doesn't have LoS she will then enter a flee mode where she attempts to run away and CANNOT attack. This lasts for some amount of time, not exactly sure, maybe ≈30 seconds. During this time LoS and her receiving damage don't matter, you can just go to town. I always dump a stam bar or two and then return to behind the wall and the timing works out about right

lols decent armour number @40 minutes in "30". I'd die so much with that number.

Haha Def know what you mean but some recent play has shown me that 30 from a few upgrades is waaaay better than 20 with lvl 1 everything. Need some upgrades!
