*To people who think that this run is cheating:* These are well-documented glitches that exist in all versions of the game (you have to do the zips differently on console due to the lower framerate, and the AI glitch at the top of the tower crashes the game on certain versions, but the principle of everything is the same). Glitches are allowed in the category that I am running, the rules for which were defined and agreed upon by the Arkham speedrunning community. If you disagree with the community allowing glitches, or just prefer categories that involve playing more of the game, we also have a Glitchless category where these glitches cannot be used. For some, reason I thought he beat the game without glitching in 16 minutes I don’t know why I thought it was even possible

What’s funny is that with this run where you bypass Joker capturing Batman that means he didn’t actually need the cure. Batman just drank some of it just to flex on Joker

Seeing Batman showing what he could do with a sword was one of the coolest moments ever. No wonder the Arkham Games are so loved.

its funny, in the context of the actual game, batman arrived in less then 20 minutes after suiting up. and joker immediately dies of the blood poisoning.

“Protocol 10 will commence right now!” “But sir, i thought you said the plan was to commence it in 10 hours!” “…change of plans”

The story changes so much for speed runs like now protocol 10 is activated because bats got onto the tower pretty much instantly and bats took the cure solely for shits and giggles

Imagine watching this stream. Imagine going to the bathroom for 20 minutes to shower. Imagine coming back after only missing for 20 mins. Imagine realizing that WR has been beaten while you were gone.

Hugo Strange- Now that I've got Batman in Arkham City, I'm going to initiate Protocol 10 in 10 hours and kill them all! 7 minutes later Hugo Strange- What do you mean Batman's already at the Wonder Tower? Fine accelerate Protocol 10 to now I guess.

I love imagining during speedruns that the character in question, in this case Batman, is very purposefully going at lighting speed. Like he is cutting off his conversations with Alfred or Hugo Strange, or ignoring Catwoman being held hostage because he's some omnipresent being that knows everything will be solved by the next game.

Joker: "HEY, THATS CHEATING!" Batman: "Really, that's what your gonna call me out for?"

Funny arkham city was the game that immersed me into the arihamverse 8 years ago on xbox, introduced to the batman mythos and Lore of batman. Had a big smile on my face while playing this game on late nights.

I played this game a million times growing up and over a decade later this is probably the coolest thing I’ve ever seen done in an Arkham game

Nice video and the knockout cancel by using the hook was also cool

I love how 1/2 of this is basically the same no matter how you speedrun the game, because of the way it's made with the cutscenes and walking parts and all that. The rest is just insane.
