@@eu4meta583 Not true. You can get that achievement without forming Israel at all as Semien or a nation that converted to Judaism through rebels, most likely Ethiopia. In fact, it’s way easier to do the Shemot is Not achievement as Ethiopia rather than Semien (which is why I stipulated that only forming Israel as Semien should reward the hypothetical achievement)
@@beanburrito4405 Even easier to do it as the Mamluks. Conquer the Jewish provinces from Ethiopia and get Jewish rebels to keep converting your land. Do it right and by the time you flip, you'll only have the convert a few more provinces.
@@DiamondDust132 That's how I did it, but the faster you try to force it all to happen and if you're a bit clumsy with it like I was, your game will be border line unplayable after accomplishing it because of the economic strain it puts on you. I needed to go through like 3 or 4 revolts before they converted enough land to make their enforce demands flip the county to Judaism instead of just becoming independent, and that just ruined my economy.

I'd love to see an Athens run. Continuing the Crusader state mission tree or culture swapping to Greek and forming Greece and retaking old school hellenic lands or building a formidable tall empire there would be cool. Just anything out of Athens lol

Are you using the "Home of the Jews" Torah aspect? The +35 opinion bonus on EVERY christian and muslim nation is insane and absolutely prevented coalitions from firing in my campaign!

I'd kinda like to see you do a guide for Venice their unique government is mildly confusing to EU4 novices and I feel like you'd find a way to make a Venetian campaign very interesting.
This is a pretty fun run. I recommend grabbing the two gold mines in the south early - past the first Mamluk war at latest. It can help fund your economy till you get enough trade.

Rough plan for that campaign 1. War your way down from your starting point to the coast 2. War your way over to the Horn of Africa 3. Convert to the Somali religion, and reform it 4. Now war to the British isles

I'd suggest taking the time to get the Ethiopian gold mines before fighting the Mamluks, it makes for a much better economy. Once you defeated the Mamluks it's probably best to take as much Egyptian land as possible, state it and culture flip to Egyptian right after forming Israel. The Levantine culture group is the third best after the German and Chinese and you are in an easy position to take advantage of that.
I waged war on the Mamluks but when I tried to take Jerusalem, Gaza and Jaffa, I couldn't because I got the message "Cannot select this province because Semien cannot make it a core". What did I do wrong?
Hit mamluks when they are busy? That's a tough call. It seems like there is something in the code that makes mamluks ignore any AI enemy they are fighting against, and focus all their forces on the player. I have tried that trick with the Ottomans while the mamluks were fighting in Africa, the Mamluks let the africans ravage their land in order to concentrate all their forces against me. I tried again with mughals while the Mamluks were fighting the Ottomans. The Mamluks ignored the Ottomans and let them advance up until Egypt, so that they could send all their army to defend their precious territories that were next to me (lol). I even tried that with Vijayanagar, the Mamluks were fighting the Ottomans again. I mean I was not really surprised when the Mamluks pretended the Ottomans were not there, sent their entire army against me and valiantly managed to defend their provinces in Arabia. Too bad the Ottomans just marched, took their capital, forced them to lose most of the middle east and pay heavy tribute but hey... at least they did not lose to the player...
