Loved this!! I have lived in Beaufort since 2003 and still haven't been to all of those locations. I actually shouted "watch out for gators!!" when you were walking around the lagoon on Hunting Island. 🤣Beaufort has a lot of interesting history. I highly recommend The Penn Center on St Helena Island. Dr Martin Luther King Jr wrote his "I have a dream" speech in a cottage where he stayed there called the Gantt Cottage. There is also the first school that was founded in the south specifically for African American children. Also look up the history of Robert Smalls who is from here. His life story could be a whole vlog in itself! There's a lot more to do and see here. The next time you're in town I would love to buy you lunch! ❤️

Hey again Jordan! So, since I am a South Carolinian and you were about 27 miles from where I live when you vlogged Varnville (I live in Walterboro), I just had to comment again on this vlog. Forrest Gump is one of my favorite movies and it makes me proud to know it was filmed in my home state. When you showed the University of South Carolina at Beaufort sign, it hit close to him because I work for the University of South Carolina at the Salkehatchie campus in Walterboro where parts of the movie "Radio" was filmed. I know I mentioned that in a comment on one of your previous vlogs as well. If you ever make it back to South Carolina, consider doing a vlog on "Radio" and I could show you the parts where I work that you can see in the movie! Again, as always, awesome vlog!

there’s a chocolate store/factory in downtown Beaufort, which people say was used to fill the boxes of chocolate. The movie might have used a common box, but inside the box was better tasting chocolate for Tom Hanks to eat. I cannot verify if the story is true, but I used to live there and have been to the chocolate store many times. I didn’t realize I have been to so many of the places, though! I bought many shrimp at the same place that supplied Gump.. they always gave me more than I asked, but paid for what I asked. And I absolutely loved walking/hiking at the other areas you filmed, without knowing the movie references.

Great vlog, always wondered where Forrest's house was! The movie, "The Great Santini" with Robert Duvall was filmed in SC as well. Notable is the "Tidalholm Mansion" at 1 Laurens Street, Beaufort, SC.

I was in Beaufort just last week and went to Hunting Island and other places. I saw a lot of what's on this video and had no idea all of this was in the movie. Makes me want to go back and match things up now. Great video!

Thanks Jordan, you just made my day. Forrest Gump is one my favorite movie. Me and twin bought the DVD when it came out. She has hers I have mines. We have had a lot good times watching the movie. Yes we did see it in the theater when it came out. Seeing that church and a lot things that was in the movie. I think it's one of Tom Thanks best movie. Lot iconic lines. My sister live in Tennessee. I spend a lot my time between GA and Tennessee. We went south Carolina last month. We are both married and have families now but we often talk about all the fun we had growing up. True South Carolina has some good shrimp. It's so cool watching this. Of course she texted me asked had I watched your video I said not yet. Now that I have we will be taking about it, the movie, our favorite scenes. We both love your channel and all your videos. Trust me being twins we have our differences but we both agree we love your videos, the places you take us and of course, we both love JAH. Did you ever say how you chose JAH name. We both loved how Forrest said Jenny. Sat is movie night at our house, I know what the family will be watching Sat. It's been a while since I've seen it. I own 2 copies. I'm weird that way. Wow, you were so close to Fripp Island. If I knew I would’ve called you all and gave you full access to the island. A lot of the Vietnam scenes were filmed at the Ocean Creek golf course. And of course Tom Hanks stayed on Fripp Island during the filming.

Some of my family moved to Beaufort about 8 years ago from up north. They love it very much.. When I first visited they showed me a lot of these areas too of filming. I went to Hunting Island as well, a very cool beach. Beaufort is very beautiful, very under rated in my opinion. If you are ever there, please go to the Dockside restaurant for dinner.. One of the best in the area for seafood, and it's right on the river with beautiful views. There was also a restaurant, which I cannot remember the name of, which fairly recently closed down and I was told that when Forrest Gump was being filmed, that it was frequented often by crew on the movie as the food was great. Was know for the best fried grouper and I think the best cornbread I have ever eaten. Glad I got to eat there before it closed.

I'm real happy that you're on the East coast now!! That's the coast I'm used my whole life. This was a great video about a one-of-a-kind movie. I have an idea I don't know if you covered the movie Stripes yet; but some of it was at Fort Jackson and maybe Fort Knox too!

Jordan, if ur ever in alberta, calgary Canada, you have to visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum, in Drumheller, approximately 1.5 hrs ne of Calgary. Best dinosaur museum in Canada

I have camped several times at Hunting Island and walked through the marsh, I need to revisit.

Regularly in top ten of movies of all time, total escapism. I watch at least once a year .also Schindlers list.
