I checked mine out. It was already set. But instead of a 7, mine was a 3 and it works while I am driving. So in a 2018 F150 Lariat it will be a 3. Thanks Riccardo for what you do. And that is on a Sync 3.
Doesn't work on my 19 f150. Well bye George I works now. Not sure why it didn't work before,but after resetting it to factory & redoing it,it now actually does work. Thx alot,you the man bud!!!!
If anyone is having trouble after doing this you need to reset the apim module. There are a couple ways but the easiest is to hold radio power + seek next until the screen starts rebooting.
Great video! Easy to understand. Do you know if that same code allows video playback while vehicle is in motion? Would be great for kid to be able to watch videos
Ricardo, big fan! Question, does this mod also allow you to do a "new search" while in motion for using a memory card in the USB port for playing music?? With stock codes it always seems to time out and grey out the "new search" option after you perform the first search.
2016 sync 3 not working........ my FORscan was not working by following this video... because I was hitting “write” on the line pertaining to the code being changed..... it wasn’t until I tried the whole process again and hit “write all” at the bottom, did the code take effect and work properly...
He DOES have a video on the backgrounds. It's really easy to do and you don't have to use FORscan to do it. Check out all of Ricardo's vids. This guy rocks! I think I'm gonna buy him a drink sometime soon cause we're both in Houston! lol
Have you ever ran into the voice prompt saying "language set to english" when vehicle is turned on? after you have done the hack? everything else seems to be working fine.
Does this also unlock Carplay features while in motion? I hate that it limits the music and podcast lists when driving. I end up using my phone to listen to what I want.
@@ricardosworkshop Looks like it does NOT. I have a 2017 Fusion Energi. The change does allow me to enter the address on the built in Nav but the Apple music app and Overcast podcast app still limit the length of lists when in motion.

Ricardo! I was messing with the testing settings on my 2016 F150 Platinum. I Enabled GNSS sensor logging. Enabled HIP logging and Sky view message. Now my GPS won’t load. Any advise?

Hello, great video. Wondering how you were able to configure your screen to look like it does at the 5:23 mark of the video? I have a 2016 F150 Platinum with SYNC 3 V3. I like the combination screen with the compass, seat heating and cooling, radio stations, and heated steering wheel icons all on the same screen. Also, is the power icon to turn off the screen or the radio?

Have you seen anyone come up with a mod for updating Sync 3 wallpapers they are all kinda of plain, not sure why they took this great feature away, Thanks again.
@@ricardosworkshop not yet but I've done tons of modifications on it. Perpendicular parking, auto up/down windows, cancelled the seat belt chime, changed the background to gt performance, added more buttons to the sync 3 screen, cancelled the horn when leaving the truck running and more
Hey I tried this and it worked great but, I lost Travel Link! I reverted back and it wouldn't allow me to enter address at all! It is sensing the vehicle is in motion, even while in park!
I tried this with my 2015 f150 Platinum and now when I touch navigation it says navigation loading with a loading circle it briefly brings up the map and then immediately crashes back to the home screen. I reverted back to As built originals but it's still doing the same thing. I have sync to version 3.10 Any thoughts?

You're the second person to say this. Dont know if ford changed something on the newer sync 3 versions. I was under the impression that this worked on all. Checkout forscan.org
How about somebody make a link to just Unlock all features on sync while in motion... Sure would be nice to not see that stupid yellow light lit for a lock
@@ricardosworkshop I want the video-in-motion so I can connect my wife's ANDROID to her Sync2 direct. Looking to create an Android-Auto like experience in a Sync 2 Car. I have Android Auto in my 2019 Escape Sync 3. Wife's 2014 Edge Limited has all the bells and whistles but can't connect the phone to the Sync 2 Screen. Google Maps is superior to the Ford Nav -- its not even close. Allowing Video-in-motion simply puts the phone's screen on on the Sync Screen, with the phone's audio on the car's speakers. Hands-free commands to Google work already, just not from the buttons on the steering wheel.
It will Landry but I believe it changes speed signs to look European and adds a hundredth digit to radio stations. So save original settings incase you dont like it.
HELP! I update Sync 2 to newest version 3.10, Changed Forscan setting, installed Navipatch, did Master Reset (5 times) and now I get "Install Nav SD card" message. Card is a new Ford A10 card, everything installed as it should, SD card reader is working. Ive even tried a forced APIM Master Reset through Forscan. Tried disconnecting the battery to reset ECM. I've tried everything that I could think of. I ordered a new A10 card just in case its defective. Vehicle is a 2015 F-150 Sync 2 with touch. Anyone have this issue and any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
If anyone wants to know, I got my DVD to play in motion after barely pressing the parking brake just enough to let my truck think it is on. Not enough to actually put pressure to try and stop the vehicle.
