Update Sync 2 & Enable Navigation on Sync 2 🧭 

This worked flawlessly on my 2015 F150 Lariat without Navigation. Downloaded the sync update, navipatch and followed step by step. The only thing that wasn't mentioned was the need for an extended license in ForScan. I needed that to change the code in my F150. Thankfully forscan has a free trial for an extended license. Getting the code took about an hour. Then once I had that, rewrote the code, reset sync and it was simple. Plugged the SD card and within minutes had navigation! Great video!

Soooooo I just found some videos on how to upgrade from Sync 2 to 3, and ended up buying a Sync 3 system a few days ago. It is coming from Hong Kong, wish I would have found your site sooner, as it would probably be here quicker since I am in So Cal right now. It made it to the states within two days of ordering it, but its DHL, I am hoping it will be here by Sunday so I can install it before I go back home. Then I came across your video to add Nav to the Sync 2. So now I purchased an SD Card and waiting for it to come, hopefully tomorrow. So now I am going to add Nav to a system I plan on switching out in a few days lol. I mostly want the Sync 3 for the CarPlay and now thanks to your videos, I am considering jailbreaking it. Stop posting all these videos and giving me ideas! lol Keep up the good work!

Looking forward to trying this. I have a 2013 MKZ and and my FCIM was not working properly. Cooled seats weren't turning on and other random issues. DTC's that wouldn't clear. I ordered another and got it in. Turned on the cooled seats and yay, they're working, no Nav though. From the factory my system had it optioned on. I was shooting there was a way to get this one. Im pumped to give this a shot...

I did the SYNC 1 to 2 update everything was working, but the GPS at the moment enabled and without geolocation, apparently my Ford Focus MK3.5 SE 2015 car does not have Gpsm if a different antenna, if I make the module change is it necessary to adjust any parameters at the APIM level? I understand that Gpsm is also connected to the MS network. Greetings from Chile!!

I followed the instructions on Sync2 in my F150, and all seemed to go well until the end. The display said, "Insert Nav SD Card". I did, but it did not recognize the card ( it did nothing at all). Any suggestions?

Hey. I just watched your video and I am really looking to try it myself as I have been wanting to have nav on my Sync 2. I have a question though, is the map worldwide because I am from the Philippines and I am not honestly sure whether the maps are worldwide. Another thing is, can I use my SYNC 2 head unit to connect an aftermarket TPMS? The ones with a usb connecter for the head unit. I used to use the ones with their own small screen with a solar panel but the screen didn't last so I'm looking to change them with the ones with usb connector/receiver so I would just use my SYNC 2 screen.

So where do we download navipatch? I missed that…

Good afternoon. Attempting the upgrade on my 2014 Lincoln MKX. Everything is self explanatory, however it is not taking the Navi file. It says it is installed, but when you look at the system information it does not have the navigation software listed. Is there something I'm missing?

I have a 2015 lincoln mkz. I downloaded and installed the v3.10 and it worked perfectly. I previously had the v3.75. I've read about loosing Navigation. I had Navigation to start with and it seems to be working fine. Whats the big hub bub that I'm missing? Maybe i just don't understand what people are talking about in all the forums..

ive got a few questions: you have two OBD2 tools listed. Is there a difference between the expensive and cheap one? Another question is that it seems that the maps sd card is currently sold out on Amazon. Are there any .zip files where one could get the maps instead of purchasing a 2024 maps sd card?

hi Brian, great video,clear instructions, but when i got to inserting the nav sd card, it wouldnt even read it. i downloaded and tried to install the EA5T-14F657-AG.cab files to my sync, but it got 2 seconds in and an error message popped up saying "the installation has run out of space or does bot work with this version" I had already updatd sync 2 to version 3.10. Im so close, need a little help getting over the finish line.

Hi, when i connect my forscan to my 2013 ford edge, i go to the APIM to switch the numbers, i get a error code saying i need additional licenses or extended license for that. Why is that?

So I am very late to the party on this upgrade. I have done everything to the dotting of the "i" and crossing of the "t" but I can not get it to work. Everything changed over like it is supposed to but nothing happens when I insert the SD card. I also noticed when looking that there doesn't appear to be a version of the NAVAPP on my system. I haven't figured out why it didn't install or how to get it to install. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello! I have done everything in order, i had 3,10 on my c-max 2015 already installed, i changed that one number in forscan and then the letters on the top changed to navigation. I have installed the png patch and applyed it, it said navigation on. Then i have reseted sync and after it loaded i put the F10 europe navigation in sd slot. It says insert navigation card and that is it, nothing is loading. Card is not faulty, i have tried to put it in friend's focus 2015 and it is working flawlessly. Do you have any idea what i am doing wrong? I dont understand..thank you

I did everything like the video after I reset it the information was gone and it says in enter Nav card I entered the Nav card but it doesn't seem to read it so does that mean that the card is bad?

How are you able to run the (ACM) Audio control module on the bench without a battery load shed signal??? I'm installing a ACM with Sync 2 like your in the video from a 2014 flex to a 97 f150. The unit keeps giving a "SYSTEM OFF TO SAVE BATT" message upon powering it. How in the heck did you bypass it on your bench unit?

I had to replace my lcd touchscreen 2015 ford taurus sel (Pennsylvania usa) and now the gps is gone i tried downloading from the ford website but it says they have to do it and i have to pay like 150$ and labor i think they gave me the wrong module with the screen why should i pay for their mistake? Is there any thing i can do without paying??

Followed the instructions. When it came time to install the SD card, Sync wouldn't do anything. Verified the SD card worked. Thought something was messed up and I needed to downgrade to 3.08. Tried to run through the 3.10 update again, just in case. Sync said the latest version was installed. So, I reinstalled NaviPatch. But this time after I applied it and unlocked it, I hit Save. I then set the default wallpaper back and saved it before doing the Sync Master reset. Once Sync restarted, I put the SD card in and poof, I had Navigation.

this sounds so easy, but I'm almost deaf. can you type the instructions so I can follow them in print? I tried upgrading 2 years ago so I have the "insert the maps card" in the upper right corner and the compass has moved but no navi. I don't know what I'm missing. Maybe the sync navi software?

My values in ForScan for 7d0-01-02 are completely different than what yours are. Did I do something wrong?

What are the improvements in version 3.10? Nobody seems to mention what they are other than making it so the updated navigation can work. But the Ford navigation in Sync2 is so crappy and hard to set your destination compared to Google maps on the phone, that I can't understand why anyone would even use it.

Hi Bro. when I enabled the Navigation , I did not go to APIM module configuration (As built ) to change the digit. I just went to APIM module configuration > Navigation System > then enabled it. I found this way is much eisier than changing the digits.

My car is a 2015 Ford Edge Titanium and I updated to 3.10, I enabled Navigation with Forscan and changed the wallpaper. I have tried The A14 and the A-13 map SD cards, purchased from Amazon, but they didn't work, I still get insert map card. What else can I do? I also performed a master reset, several times.

I decided to compare 3.10 update from link in description with what ford provided me and there is only one file difference. EA5T-14F657-AG is not included in Ford's download. Is this necessary for navigation?
