If you don't use all 3 memory settings here's an easier way w/o forscan. save your seat normally to whatever number you use, you will hear a beep and a message saying saved. Next Tilt your mirrors all the way downward (both mirrors) now save this to your unused memory slot. Any time you want to see the curb on the ground directly behind you just click the other option you saved when you tilted the mirrors downward. Little more effort, I know it's not automatically done but its a solution.
You have to be careful doing this since if you get going and forget to switch back, you got mirrors pointing down until you stop and press the other memory button or you move them with the switch
On Lexus it's very simple. 1. Ignition *ON.* 2. Put shifter in *R* mode. 3. Position any/both of your mirrors anyway you want them. (Down/Out/Up/In) 4. Put shifter out of *R* mode. DONE!!! Now when you shift in reverse, both mirrors go to programmed position.
I don't think it's a big deal having only one work at a time. It's really meant to help get you closer to the curb while parallel parking. You might still need that driver mirror in the normal position to see cars behind you waiting.
I really wish we could figure a way to have both tilt automatically when shifting to reverse, I feel like we’re missing something. I’m going to see what I can find in the forums
Great video I have the same OBDII scanner without HS and MS switch and an Bluetooth version. Can I use it for changing same codes as you do in video? Or I should buy the same as yours?
Changing the subject: I like your videos easy to fallow and you zoom in on what your doing. I was just wondering if you have any info or mods for using the remote to open and close the moonroof or sunroof. Would apricate any info if you have any. Thanks
OK quick question. That ELM327, can you use that to turn off the double honk when the truck is running and the keys are in your pocket? Power fold the mirrors when the truck is turned off/on? Turn on the bambi lights and drive over 8mph without them automatically turning off?
Technically *"YES"* but like he said, they will have to have a solid proof of any unauthorized modifications. Also if you keep visiting the same dealer for your needs, do you know if they keep a copy of your previous visit settings?
Hi Thanks for the video Any video how add navigation on Ford Touch sync 2?? Also before start use the ELM conector has to be setup on my computer or just plug end use? Thank you
Hi Nelson. My ELM was just plag and use. Others have to download a driver. Easy enought though. My truck came with nav. But im sure there is a way to add it too. Checkout forscan.org
Hello Chev, its all from this spreadsheet and the awesome people at forscan.org docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uDSQ1Z5a2Wt8-kjrSiVSlDFGFHnfeuhb3RTMVz95730/edit?usp=drivesdk
@@ricardosworkshop I wonder if I got a fake knockoff. Mine didn't install anything, and when I found drivers on forscan forum, after I was finished it didn't find anything under the COM port list.. hrmm. Stumped.
I’m doing everything just as you explained in your video but they won’t tilt on reverse, I’ve done Bambi, Mirror fold, adjusted the number of blinks all with no problem but can’t get this to work, idk, maybe I’m programming them wrong after making the changes in forscan
