You guys passed the brightline station which is building a station in Orlando to connect those from south Florida to Orlando and then they are wanting to build a Tampa station in the future. Good video as always Jose.
Best Western on the beach used to be the Sheridan Yankee Clipper, (shaped like a ship). Once upon a time, the parking lot just to the north of it was the only place there were parking meters. The rest of the beach, you parked free right up to the edge of the road where the sand began. Elbow Room has been famous since the movie "Where the Boys Are," (it was in the movie). Thanks for the drive around Ft. Lauderdale where we grew up & lived for 4+ decades. So much has changed, but it will always be paradise on earth with so many great memories.
The governor is the Greatest. Everything eles is no better Than anywhere. The cost of Living is very high. The Weather is nice but unless You are a wealthy person or Make good money. Your not Going to be happy in a place Like this. This is not showing The bad areas. My advice if Your happy where you live City/state you should just Stay there.
To add a different perspective, I'm from Tennessee, a state that's supposedly known for having a very low cost of living. I spent more than 25 years in Tennessee and have now lived in South Florida for the last 12 years. Also lived in the Tampa area for a few years. So about cost of living between the two states. Every single one of my monthly expenses has been LOWER in Florida than in Tennessee except for rent, so rent is the only expense that is higher in Florida. But the amount of savings in every other category has more than made up for the rent increase (which actually isn't as high as people say it is). My overall happiness has also been significantly higher in Florida, because there is so much more to do compared to Tennessee, and I'm not even factoring in the beaches, just overall there's a wider range of museums, more appreciation of the arts, better live music and concerts, better parks, better food, more diversity and culture, and I could go on all day. Not everyone is going to feel the same way, because every person's experience is unique, so for a lot of people, the move to Florida can be the best thing they ever do in their life, and for others, maybe not. But it's the best decision I have ever made, and I never regret it for a second. I'm sure others might also say that Tennessee is an amazing place to live, and if that's how they feel, I'm not going to try and change their mind, but after spending decades there, I will never look back and I haven't missed it once in all the time I've been away. On the topic of bad areas, they exist everywhere, and once again to use my home state as an example, people often claim that Tennessee must be a really quiet, peaceful place, and they aren't entirely wrong, but the rate of crime in my hometown is actually HIGHER than in Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding area, and rising every day (and no, I'm not from Memphis, though it's awful as well in terms of crime). I am from a small, quiet town, but it is certainly far from the storybook safe and clean ideal that a lot of people envision. I've never really lived in fear of anything, but I feel safer in most of South Florida than I have ever felt in some of the rougher areas in Tennessee, because the crime in those places is harder to see, but just as prevalent, where in Fort Lauderdale and most Florida cities, it's visible and easy to avoid. Anyway, that's just my experience, and I'm not saying I'm right or you're wrong, just pointing out that everyone's experience will vary. I do fully agree with you that if a person loves where they are now, they probably are better off staying where they feel the happiest, but at the same time, if making the move is what makes them happy, they should do that as well!
