I lived ten minutes walk from Sistrunk on Andrews Avenue. I'm a white guy so I couldn't walk to far into Sistrunk as I would attract negative attention. Driven down there but just passing through. Struck me as just a low income neighbourhood, plenty of those in Broward and Dade counties. My income was pretty low back then so I'm not being snooty. Low rent is low rent.
Lived in Fort Lauderdale 48 years and got tired of sweating and worrying about everything blowing away during 6 months of the year. Insurance is totally out of control. And the ocean is rising faster than predicted. Moved to South America 12 years ago and never been sorry.
Pompano, Lauderhill/Lauderdale lakes , Deerfield, dania/ Hollywood, west park/ Hallandale all have real hoods . And it’s way more hoods in Lauderdale besides just sistrunk that ain’t the only spot
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS that whole 31st ave in Lauderdale from Oakland blvd and broward blvd just drive threw some of those hoods over there like Franklin park , sunland, Dillard. Shallowside down 19th and 441 area , 21st, 31st back road by BA high school lakes park area. Pompano (collier city ) and all down hammondville by Ely high school . Deerfield too you’ll be surprise it’s small but it’s there East of sw 10th
Yes and the real estate is getting to expensive for most..The houses in the area i lived has a young boy Pines village are now 300 to 500 grand unbelievable ..
They cleaned up that area alot. It takes a lot of work to keep it clean. The people who live there understand keep your neighborhood clean keeps the negative Energy away.
Y’all spent the entire video riding through the city. They also have Dillard park, driftwood/ lauderhill point, Deepside shallow side, north Lauderdale, Pno, the manors

15:42 Omg, they drove past my house lmao! When they said “it’s nice to see people fixing their houses up” this was a year ago, and even from one year ago my block looks so different. The “gentrification” of the area is so true, but the people that own property there seem to fix their property up more and more because the property value keeps going up, with each improvement. Its like a chain reaction 😅
I live in bartow fl since 2007, before I lived in broward county FL. Went to silver lakes middle school and broward elementary. Haven’t been down there is forever. Gonna take a trip real soon.
Sistrunk has changed alot. Maybe not people wise but it was a lot worse back when i lived here this was 95'-99' i was young and i remember my dad got his car broken into in the night and yep he decided to move us. We stayed right behind sunland park elementary...I still remember those days though lol. I even remember at our duplex there was a mini corner store at the end too.
Stay away from deepside. 55th 56th at night time. It goes deeper but when u see that mcdonalds on 55th and oakland becareful asking for directions there at night lol and dont hike either.
U really would have to live in Broward County. Broward is actually nice. It's different from Dade county which is Miami, Fla. Fort Lauderdale FL, is really ok.

I am a high school drop out, been self employed most my life since no one will hire me based on my race and education level. Comfortably live in a great suburb. You live there because your scared to make moves and try something different. Move to Baton Rouge I bet you get a job there before you even show up. regardless i rather be homeless in Florida than elsewhere. you scared, go out there and move to Birmingham and put yourself to use somewhere where your community can use it. we dont have crime down here your degree is useless. call the Birmingham police department i bet they hire you sign unseen. rents there in hoover $1400 for new apartment
