I grieve for this country a little bit. It could be a world class destination for cultural tourism, if they could find a leader who actually cares about the people.
I can't understand why anyone will remain in violent places such as Cité Soleil, Martissan in Port-au-Prince when we have so many beautiful and safe towns like Fort Liberté to migrate too
You still need money to move to other towns, once you moved, then what? It's not easy to find a job or house. It's not like in the states where you can easily move to an other state and hop on indeed and find a job. You also have to take into account that people have kids and older parents, it makes it much harder to move.
@@MrSandro141. how is it better than been homeless due to gang infighting in your slum neighbourhood with no clean water, and safety? in addition, there are several charities that could help
People leave their beautiful home towns to move to Port-au-Prince thinking there are opportunities here. Often times they end up living in very poor neighborhoods & refuse to move back. There are documentaries on this issue.
@@ruttyb it used to be because port au prince was where all the opportunity and infrastructure was when those towns lacked everything, but over the last 20 years we've invested a lot in building infrastructure in these town and now I think we need to encourage people to move out
Bon courage 🌷
I love your vlog a lots, there is a misconception about Haiti 🇭🇹. You traveled the whole country and showing the world 🌎 Haiti is not only Port au prince but 10 departments with their cities. Keep it up & love it once again.
Rutty, thank you again and again for portraying beautiful snippets of your life in our homeland. Things are incredibly difficult right now and I am sending you positive energy for your safety and emotional well-being. I got teary-eyed when you were showing Fort-Liberte because two things prompted out of my mind: Walls are not too high in the Airbnb place which is so unheard of in Port-au-Prince at this point to sleep in a house with almost no "high walls" "barbeles" etc Second, it's a CLEAN CITY, mwen pa we fatra dutou nan lari yo e sa bel anpil. I can't wait to visit one day🙏 Merci beaucoup pour une nouvelle video enrichissante🙂
I love EVERYTHING about this video. I found your page through the beautiful Jemima months ago 🙌🏾😍 Haiti's department of Tourism needs to cut you a check! I haven't been back in 4 years and you got me thirsting to come back. Then Samy's beats got me dancing every time I watch your video. His beats are sick!
I left haiti a a very young age and often thought about what life would be like If I were still there. Thank you for bringing my beautiful country to life and for sharing all it's facets with us. I also was cracking up at Sammy's explanation of Fort-Liberté. Overall a really fun vlog to watch! #vibesonvibes
Totally peaceful place, Fort Liberte. People sleeping on the north side of Haiti. I'm from North Haiti. It's a whole different world compared to P.A.P.. If we Haitiens-diasporans was SERIOUS about investing as group to create a BLACK-WALLSTREET. That's one of towns you can start.
Rutty, I haven't had a chance to watch as quickly as I can(back in the office) but I always come back. Thanks for sharing the Haiti they don't want us to know!
❤ I’m so happy to see you and Jemima back at it again. Out and about together making Vlogs and memories everything looks so nice and the food looks very delicious I’m so happy you all had fun. Thank you for the history lesson I love hearing about different things that took place in history.
I absolutely LOVE you and @missjemima content love it. I left back in 04 and you guys have really answered so many questions I’ve had about home as an adult
Just subscribed, love your style of vlog💕 straight to the point and informative. My husband is Hatian and I’ve been asking him to take me to Haiti. Can’t wait to visit 💕
I just love your videos, it is great to finally have someone exposing our beautiful country with all its rich culture to the wold. keep up the good work. bravo.
Love this as usual. You should do film. You’re a beauty. Jemima we are waiting on your video next! Jemima thanks for connecting us with Rutty B! Love her vlogs.
Wonderful VIDEO Rutty❤️ And I'm assuming these are Samy's beats playing because GIRL THEY FIRE 🔥 I hope you always continue promoting the positivity of our culture 🫶🏽
Great content you should definitely visit Saint Louis Du Nord & Mole Saint Nicholas two of the most quaint nicest towns in the North West department have family there so I'm biased lol but nice nonetheless and in the grande danse department a town called Dame Marie is a nice seaside town very nice as well hope you get a chance to visit enjoy the rest of your vacay.
@@ruttyb They have a small little airfield too but I know you don’t do those little airplanes 😂😂. The coastal trio of Dame Marie, Anse d’Hainault, and Les Irois are definitely worth checking out. I would say that whole southern Coast from Les Cayes to Dame Marie.
Thanks! During the protests. We ended up staying in Fort-Liberté for two extra days. I didn’t feel like vlogging though. I explain more in my next vlog. Stay tune!
Hello Rutty B. Love your videos about different places throughout Haiti but what I notice about this particular one (Fort Liberte) the streets so much wider than most of the other cities. A bit more spacious plus I don’t see folks clocking up the sidewalks with merchandise. How about moving the capital there. Just-a-thought. Your husband Sammy my name sake had me rolling with his kraze dada Francais yo lol!
people in Port-au-Prince would protest this in droves, plus there are hundreds of small towns in Haiti just like Fort Liberté, I would prefer the capital move to Marchand Dessaline which was our very first capital after the independence
@@ruttyb it would help the process of decentralization and also Marchand dessaline is a safer place against natural disasters especially earthquakes

I would go to live in Haiti right away, probably wouldn't be able to find any work to survive as construction worker .So hope one day in the future will take my boat and go to Haiti just cruize up and down and explore this island ,can't imagine anything better in my life.🕉🇭🇹
You will be surprised to learn that the lack of skilled construction workers is a crisis right now in Haiti, it is one of the things holding back the reconstruction of downtown Port-au-Prince and of the South.
I really like your videos, they make me want to travel ASAP to Haiti. If it's possible, can you you tell how much the tickets cost from P-au-P to Fort-Liberté and also the link for the house you rented there and price. Thank you for your help
Sunrise Airways flight from PauP to Cap-Haitien. When you buy it early it’s $95. If you go on their website, you’ll see all of the details. We then rented a car from Avis at the airport in Cap-Haitien. For the Airbnb, search Fort-Liberte & you’ll see both of their properties (one is pink & the other is blue). There are very few Airbnb properties in Fort-Liberte, so you’ll find it very easily.
There are two Avis offices here. One in Port-au-Prince & one in Okap. They’ve been in Haiti for years. The first time I rented a car with them was in 2016. Don’t know when they first opened in Haiti though.
On Airbnb’s website just search Fort Liberte & you’ll see the property. It’s called Quiet Storm. There are very few Airbnb properties in Fort-Liberte, so you’ll find it easily.
Eske fort liberté gn kouran svp mwen paka rete st Doming anko non map tounen nan peyim bndi metem deyo depi 2021 mwen tal pran refich st Doming kounya dominiken ap maltrete ayisyen map tounen
Just a correction: Haiti is not the first independent black nation in the world, but it is the first black Republic in the world, because at the time of your independence most of Africa was not colonized, which only started from 1884-1885. Another thing we Ethiopians even though we have a different skin tone and phenotypes from you (in most cases) we are also black and Ethiopia is a black nation and we have never been colonized and liberia too (if my memory serves me right) and all this makes haiti not the first black nation in the world. Hugs to the Haitian people from Ethiopia.
That’s great that your country was never colonized. When we say we are the first black free nation, we are talking amongst people that were in slavery.
Just subscribed recently, but you're one of the few channels where I like the video before even watching. I've never been to Haiti but always wanted to visit my homeland. Thank you for showing it in such a positive light amidst all the terrible news and sentiments that always surround this beautiful country! 💙🤍♥🇭🇹
