1:08 Interpreter Matthew Buhaug and I made the hay fork you see on the left of the fireplace. We did it completely by hand in the Carpenter's shop. It was some of the first steam bending demonstrations done at HFS. Glad to see its still being used....

The Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul our wonderful. It’s a great place to visit and even a better place to live. I live in Fridley Minnesota which is a north east suburb of Minneapolis. The Minneapolis Convention Center is where a lot of Tradeshows and expositions take place. #MagicBrad

My hometown, Bedford, Pa, is tied to Fort Snelling via Indian Agent, Major Lawrence Taliaferro and his wife, who had a servant named Harriet. Harriet later was married to Dred Scott,(by Major Taliaferro, as my source claims). Major Taliaferro, (pronounced Tol-liver), is buried in our town cemetery and can be found on the "Find a Grave" site.

Fort Snelling is a concentration camp. Lakota Indians lived in that surrounding area for thousands of years before the US government, under Abe Lincoln, basically stole the land, lied about it, then committed genocide at Fort Snelling in 1862-1863.

Guess we better destroy and tear down the entire fort.

Colonel Snelling’s son and a friend got in trouble when they decided to canoe to the source of Minnehaha Creek. They were not able to find their way back, and soldiers had to be sent to retrieve them.

I understand How the Native American People feel about what happened to there fore Fathers. But it is now a National Cemetery. For all of our Military Forces. My Parents, Grandparents, Uncles, Aunts and friends are there. This is where I go during times of Good and bad. ANd until some people understand what grief is. They should not judge. I am sorry for what had been done. there in the past. but it is time to live in the present and the future. And Respect your Dead. RIP My COmrades and family.
