Other notes: So, we decided we would catch something for Indiana's Statewide Tornado Drill this year. We got word that Delaware County/Muncie would be participating and thought they would possibly be testing for three minutes, although I was rather skeptical of this. I figured that since the weather was nice, we could still head up to Indiana but just catch a different siren if someone called Muncie in the morning and found out they would only be going for their usual 20 seconds. It turns out my skepticism was right and that's exactly what happened, so we diverted to Fort Wayne for this Whelen WS-2000 series instead. This one, like with the other 2000's in the system, still have their original pre ESC-864 analog controllers, although this is the only one that does fast wail. This was our first time hearing an omnidirectional WS-2000, as we heard the rotating version in Rich Fountain, MO a few years ago. It may not have been too loud, but it throws out some really nice echoes, which my Sony mic picked up nicely. I'd say this probably felt the most comparable to the 2905's I've been to in Dublin. While it didn't go for three minutes, it's still much better than the 20 seconds we would've gotten from Muncie, and it was pretty cool getting to hear this in person. Enjoy!
