Bowcaster carried me to champion in ranked the last day of the season, people will never understand how op that was and I was like the only one using it (it had perfect accuracy so you could jump shot people for 132 and it also had a bug where if you were in a bush people couldn’t see the lasers from it making you invisible)
I like your take. This season was both my favorite and least favorite season at the same time. Its best moments were the most fun Fortnite I've ever played, but the bad moments were the absolute worst.
Solid 6/10. It feels like every new location has weird pillars, doorways, or similar that just don't let you build at all. Not a big deal for zero build but as someone who enjoys the core mechanics of Fortnite I am simply not a fan. Not to mention the lack of mobility items just makes moving around the game world a crawl. Great vid Layo! Love your work! :D

I agree with what you said, I think that this was an alright season, but they could’ve done it better. They added two new biomes which I would give them that, but all of the mythics are close together (2 on the southeast corner, 2 on the northwest corner). I loved that they decided to do a theme for Greek Mythology (who doesn’t know who Zeus is). Recognizable characters from stories that are thousands of years old. There should’ve been more ways to access an upgrade bench, other than the bunker. It is either A: It’s closed; B: It’s in the storm; or C: Somebody is camping in it. The Avatar collab wasn’t bad, it’s just the way they did it. The Greek weapons shouldn’t have been vaulted, it’s like the theme was all the sudden switched from Greek Mythology to Avatar: The Last Airbender. Star Wars is annual at this point for May the 4th. The cosmetic rarities removal is bad mostly because of how much it ruined the UI. It also makes looking for skins more of a pain in the ass, making the best way to sort it by season. The “confrontational” emotes setting are pretty much stupid imo. Sure it would piss you off if someone does Take the L on you, but you can take that anger out by doing the Griddy on killing someone using the Aura skin. What it should be is you aren’t allowed to do “confrontational” emotes if you have the setting to not allow them on. That way anyone doing any “confrontational” emote can’t do it without consequences. Might as well remove crouching (as basic movement of the game) so you can’t t-bag 💀
Your videos are so good, I rewatch them sometimes just like how I do with Fearless or Ceeday. That doesn’t happen that often.. good job man. Cannot wait for your initial opinion on Chap 5 season 3 :)
I think mega is when it got hard to say you still liked chapter 2. But chapter 5 season 3 makes it much harder, because the old weapons and the new features were amazing
I didnt even know they did something with the "toxic" emotes and i think the problem people have with them is the way toxic players abuse it. Like how many times have you actually emoted after being done with an enemy? Me? Only to shit them back if they were annoying I have never done it when fighting normally. But the problem is that the people who use these emotes abuse them in such a way that pisses you off, they spam it while you are down, they spam emojis when they are down and when you start observing them after they kill you they proceed to stay still and once again spam the emote, and the only thing you can do is cancel the match and leave or immediately leave after dying.
I feel this conftanional might have a bigger impact behind tthe seens like lawsuit prevention or sponsorship stuff past that i really dont care i don't ever stay long enough in a match to see if they emote i would rather be in the lobby reading up for the next match instead of spectatating
chains of hades were fun as a melee weapon that is actually viable the thunderbolt of zeus needed a buff i swear 40 damage per bolt is not enough for something that looked that cool and was easily countered by pretty much everything in the game also i feel like everything greek mythology related was introduced in the first 4 weeks of the season, then it just went to collabs and the tactical AR live event was peak tho edit: midas cutscene reference at 6:48
I disliked this season because it was my least leveled up season even the season I played IN A WHOLE DIFFERENT CONTINENT with high ping was better and also the fact that matchmaking made landing boss p.o.i.s a living hell (I am yapping)
Fortnite should never have a collaboration completely take over a season again. It killed the momentum of the season and I stopped playing entirely for the rest of it. Beginning of this season was S-tier, but everything from the Avatar event to the end was F-tier.
@@Skyswimma Marvel didn’t take over the season, Marvel WAS the season so that’s an exception. In this case Avatar came in and took priority over the actual theme which was Greek mythology.
*5/10 Mediocre to Frustrating* This Chapter ain't *IT* compared to Chapter 4 imo. Though Ch.4 S3 was the worst I experienced, the other Seasons in Chapter 4 were 👍 A lot of people are gonna say it's *AMAZING/ A-Tier* , but they tend to be naive of how this season went down for anyone who really did play the game and strived for Elite (which I barely made) 👍 Imo: 👇 (Zero Build only) - The Waterbending Mythic overshadowed ANYTHING Star Wars related. It's way too good. Screw Katara. - Chain of Hades were pretty bad at first. So Epic just decides to buff the damages on them. Now, they'll so easy to kill with up close. Like, play test these things, Epic, please 😑 - Lego got all the attention for Star Wars while it was being hyped up for a month. We get ONE LIGHTSABER... ONE! - Avatar update overshadowed the Greek Mythics and made the Meta either Water or Air. Run away 🌬️ and then kill someone with 4 shots 🌊 🌊 🌊 🌊 - The Ceberus Medallion is a MUST and puts the other Medallions to Shame in comparison. 🐺 - Imo, The Battle Pass was Mid and could have been better due to what we saw in the Survey Skins Artwork (Aphrodite, Cerberus, some skins that were sent to Item Shop). - The Green Ooze made games difficult and Felt like Tracer (Overwatch) was part of the Fortnite Meta. So much fun. - Getting rid of Rarity to charge us more for bundles. We need to have the option to buy skins from their pickaxes instead of charging everything in that bundle automatically for 2000 V-bucks. Also, every week has felt like a Controversy has been happening in the community. Epic has just been pretty bad, as of late, with their decisions to change things here and there but not touch the awful UI and Shop Rotation. - And the longest downtime we ever had before a season started; excluding the Black Hole event. Took a day off and regretted it because I couldn't play till late at night. I'm hoping and praying the next season fixes the game; but I highly doubt it at this rate. Lego gets way too much love. Screw Lego. This Season was a huge disappointment. Good Riddance 👍
The whole thing about making lego fortnite ”family friendly” is dumb because even on the sets with for example death troopers they are called death troopers.
IMO, I don't mind the emotes essentially being removed from the game. Not saying I'm offended by the Donkey Laugh, but I more than welcome not hearing that annoying sound it. As a Save the World player, it overriding every sound always made me go "will you just fuck off?", which even made it worse due to the fact that it was marginally used by leeches. Also, people can have different their philosophies changed in multiple years. While it might of been seen as okay six years ago, it maybe unacceptable now, especially as this game started to pander a lot more to children compared to C1S2. A previous game Epic made had the wonderful voice line of "You whore" that you had the ability to trigger after every kill, but are you going to say that's acceptable to have in Fortnite?
