I honestly think people are just getting tired of battle royales. Now the triple a companies are going to milk the shit out of the genre, and some people are already fatigued of the genre, so no wonder it's beginning to die.

I personally think fortnite is getting extremely repetitive, no new maps just new and pointless weapons or items / skins. Playing the same map, dropping the same locations gets extremely boring. You could argue they add new locations quite often, but these get boring after a few landings, a whole new map to explore, possibly a bigger one with 200 player matches so we have more to explore. Edit : I have finished watching the video and need to make a point on shotguns, assualt rifles and building, I do agree that building should not be nerfed I've been around since season 1 and that feeling of finally being better than your opponents because you out build them is great, the fact epic is trying to make this harder so new players can play easier is scummy, same with bloom your aim should be because of skill not luck, shotguns are annoying if you get 1 shot, but if we had more ar fights where your shots would land we wouldn't have these constant pushes with shotguns which is 90% of the game right now.

As a 16 year old, I have a near minimum wage job. I run laser tag games at a Celebration Station. The amount of fortnite related questions kids give me drives me insane, the amount of cringy fortnite dancing kids do drives me insane. I'm trying to explain how to play and be safe so you dont run into your little brother and crack his skull in the dark, but I'm constantly interrupted with "can we build like in fortnite?" It might seem silly, but this kind of shit is why I hate the game. It's not the mechanics, it's not epic games, it's the little kids that think laser tag is just real life fortnite.

The game is not gonna be dead for awhile, it has the normie audience. If you have a facebook, logon, you'll see a bunch of people live streaming (on facebook lmao) fortnite. Fortnite is the new COD, when people come home from school, instead of heading to nuke town they're dropping at tilted.

1. Bloom I agree that bloom is a frustrating mechanic...but it's an absolutely necessary one in the current meta. Without bloom, pro players could just gun down people halfway across the map. It's designed to encourage A. The player to engage at a closer distance B. Use a sniper rifle C. Use First shot accuracy to their advantage 2. Mats Epic has been pretty clear they are experimenting with the meta (see trap mechanics) and gathering data to find a happy medium between being able to spam build (burrowing enemies, if smart enough, are almost impossible to fight without explosives) and not having enough to start even the most basic build fight if you aren't farming. 3. Competitive I don't see how adding ranked or competitive modes hurts competitive players. That only caters to them. Not sure what you are on about. 4. Shotguns "Shotguns are consistent" do you play this game? Almost everybody in the BR subreddit has complained about shotgun inconsistency for months. The most recent nerfs were just to prevent 1 pumps, and gave the heavy shotgun more of a role in the meta. Your build, shotgun meta has gone nowhere. You know what I think? I don't think you know what you're talking about. Fortnite isn't a competitive shooter. I know that's hard to believe, but it isnt. It's supposed to be light hearted and fun at the end of the day. The game has a high skill ceiling with some luck based elements, that's what makes it fun. You as a player have to adapt and roll with the punches.

I agree with most of what you are saying, but this strays away from the main focus of this video. Fortnite is not dying. You just simply explained what makes the game bad and why it should be changed. Most players do not know about these things or simply do not care.

I agreed with pretty much all these points. Except "shotguns are consistent." Before and after the shotgun patch they have been the least consistent guns in the game. A pump head shot perfectly aimed at the head could do 150 or 9 based on luck.

Coming back to this video after 9 months, watched it over again and all the problems that happened around are finally fixed and the game is in the best place it has been in a very long time.

Ged is it I understand your argument and I'm truly with you but I'm a player from the rainbow six siege community and I believe that if Epic games would add two separate modes like a casual and a ranked to separate the good players and the new beginners you know similar to rainbow six siege fortnite would turn out to be more balanced and acceptable.

This is my opinion though, The reason why I think Fortnite is so popular is because it’s free, I think fortnite is a kind of well developed game and it’s free. Like kids can’t afford games that cost 60 dollars can they? People and kids will play any well developed, fun and most importantly, free. Money is the limit to everything, also Fortnite is a game played on all devices.

pretty much, every popular game will end up dying over time [ edit ] not all games will "die" as soon as another game takes over. league, wow, dota, ow, tf2, gta etc. are still alive. but as i said, *overtime* will games eventually end and gain less popularity. minecraft is still going, it's just that it's not as popular as it was when it blew up. pubg and skyrim too. (although personally, i think skyrim is still alive and well) [ edit 2 ] y'all, lemme put emphasis on "games will eventually lose popularity" they aren't dead, but not as popular as they were back in the day. although there are times here and there where a game will make a comeback.

Probably because it's so repetitive, jump off a flying bus and try to kill “”99”” people on the same map with the same weapons randomly scattered.. over and over and over again. Okay sure it's a bit more complex than that, but it doesn't have the creative freedom that say Minecraft had to keep it booming or even CoD with different maps, stories, etc. I'm surprised it was as popular for as long as it was, but I'd have to say by the end of this year it's just another game and not the #1 most hyped thing in existence. Out of nowhere. I just stopped caring about the game. I used to love it but now I just dont care.

PC players had the battle royal wave ages ago... Console players never had it before, that’s why I believe it’s succeeding.

The shot accuracy of this game is very inconsistent, i find myself sometimes hitting 4 shots in a row from huge distances but somehow missing almost a whole clip when the guy right in front of me...

Fortnite is trying to ruin the one thing that makes their game unique from every other Battle Royale game, building. There is absolutely no point in nerfing materials I think normal mode should have the same amount of materials as blitz because building is basically the main part of this game. So why nerf it........ along with shotgun nerfs and everything they have been adding is just making this game more noob friendly. They are basically trying to nerf good players at this point, if your not good at this game then you need to learn to get better yourself and not rely on epic helping you in every way possible.

I would probably never pay attention to the fact that people argue about this game but whenever I eat M&Ms, I like to hold two m&m's in between my fingers and squeeze as hard as I can until one m&m cracks. I eat the cracked one, and the one that didn't crack becomes the champion. Then I grab the other m&m, and force it to compete with the champion in this deadly game of m&m gladiators. I do this until I run out of m&m's, and when there is only one m&m left standing, I send a letter to m&m's brand with the champion m&m in it with a note attached that reads: "Please use this m&m for breeding purposes."
