Yeah, but the "space" and "moon" servers are pretty empty, there's no thrill playing in either of them, so human mains have also recently been trying to reach the "Mars" servers, and trying to create a second earth as an extra challenge.
probably easier to just avoid elephants than it is to try and survive actual winter conditions. people had a hard time leaving the African server until they leveled up intellegence and had crafted the correct items for the environment in order to survive long and harsh winters.
I’m surprised he said that considering rabies is a thing that bats have that birds don’t. Birds have no diseases they can transmit to us when they attack. I’d rather be scratched up in a fight with a bird that deal with the possibility of rabies.
@@silafuyang8675 I would say that a few bat mains got the "disease" debuff but they got admins to make it poisonous and lingering. Or maybe they got together with the unicellular mains which have existed since 0.0.12.
As a human main I find it awesome that our use of tools didnt stop us from domesticating or allying with other mains, especially dogs and cats. I hope we continue to get some more updates along the way but other then that being a human main has its advantages and disadvantages, its just how you operate that counts.
@@v5k456jh3 if you want a good main to befriend, i recommend a bird main, specifically crows or ravens, their intelligence stat is one of the highest in the bird clas and they can fly, giving the team detection and advantages on planned attacks
Recently i met a human build call karen. Their skills are very weird. They dont seem to deal any real damage but apply debuff like fear, anxiety, reduce speed,... Karen's combos are very hard to deal with and also karen can use their skills in many situations. They also have a summoning skill call 'call your manager/boss/owner' which summoning target's superior and apply debuff on them. But most of karen's skills can only affect humans so i dont think they can bring much change to the meta but to human build player, they are the nightmare
The Karen class comes with an exclusive ability (calling the manager) which I'm not entirely sure why the community asked for it or why I decided to even develop the ability (they are gonna get nerfed in the next update however)
You should have mentioned the human advantage of a long lifespan, the highest of all land mammals. This allows them to take higher advantage of their already broken intelligence stat allowing them to gather and transmit more information to other human mains at a rate that no other main can compete with.
@@theyangem7802 I specified land mammals not all mammals while true that certain aquatic mammalian builds have longer lifespans they compete in another sever which obeys a vastly different set of rules. Also the human build is a very short term loss long term gain class, with being useless at low levels being the drawback for being op on higher ones. Human players being extremely easily picked off at low levels in previous versions skews the data somewhat and If a human build reaches a high level even in older versions it is quite likely that they will live for quite some time.
They are the most meta-defining build because they also have unique access to the 'Signifier and Definer' trait, which is boosted to unbelievable levels by the already ridiculous intelligence stats most human builds possess. The other classes have no choice but to go along with it, and though the devs purposefully gave this trait to the humans, they somehow forgot how to even patch it out.
Huamns have a really good passive too. The [Muscle Growth] and [Strength Growth] passives are great for build upgrades for higher dmg and defense, and intimidation points
Human class have a debilitating 100% RNG stats, that means every stat will be randomized and cannot be changed until 70 years after. These passives really help mid stat human builds to upgrade.
That's not our natural enemy. For example, ants have natural enemies besides themselves, and they fight wars between each other. Our natural enemy would be lions, insects, or any big carnivore. Luckily, we have surpassed them nowadays but that does not make ourselves our natural enemies
another ability you forgot to mention about humans is their ability called “Fight or Flight.” which gives them a huge buff in strength and allows the user to lift appropriately 800-900lbs.
A big thing that’s nerfing humans are humans themselves. A lot of human players choose different factions and there can be a lot of faction wars, which does result in a lot of game overs.
@@kaedenjohnson2591 Speech doesn't determine intelligence. Besides there are many factors when it comes to speaking ENGLISH. Grammar and word choice are signs of education, not intelligence.
Although sweating and throwing definitely helped humans establish themselves in the early meta, I think what made humans super op is the Intelligence stat: - It is needed for progress in the "communication" skill, which unlocks "language" and "cultural transmission" - It synergizes with the "tool use" skill - "Tool use" leads to the "Technology" playstyle where innovations can spread using "language" and "cultural transmission" in spite of the death debuff - The "Fire" skill, an innovation, allowed more nutrient and energy points to be invested in raising the "intelligence" stat - In fact raising "intelligence" was so important that humans took multiple debuffs in birth difficulty (large heads) and developmental period duration - The "technology" playstyle completely changed the meta especially when it unlocked "agriculture" - Human populations exploded by decreasing nutrient point energy requirements - Deeper in the technology tree, "science" and "industrialization" are extremely op, grant humans dev powers Now that humans have dev powers I think the next expansion is "Artificial Intelligence": - It will introduce the "AGI" class - Extremely different playstyle, it starts with no physical body - Can rapidly increase its intelligence - High bandwith communication with other AGIs - Can make exact copies of itself - No death debuff - Very adept at the "technology" playstyle This interesting class could pose significant meta shifts. Humans may need to progress in "AGI alignment" or "human augmentation" skills in order to keep up with the meta.
While overall human players spec heavily in intelligence, I know some human builds where intelligence is not a factor and seems to even be detrimental to the build (insert political faction/religion spec here).
I don’t know, the player base has been theorizing about a hypothetical AI class for a while now, and while there is grounding for discussion, (The devs _have_ been collaborating with some human players to test out very rough prototypes,) I’m pretty sure that an actual playable class is a long ways out. Like, probably the next full game update long.
@@allasar i would say Just politics the *religion* buff allows “peace” to be enhanced also can destroy a whole Map * Saudia Arabia* if used wrong even in map *South America* can buff *intimidation*
@@angeliquejudice1444 believing a dev watches and judges your every move is not a sign of an intelligent player, is what I meant. But since you brought it up, religion and peace are opposites. Just look at old expansions like the crusades, or the pvp Israel-Palestine instance of the current patch.
@@allasarpeople who use religion are more likely to have peace is what I meant. and May I ask why believing a dev watch’s over the game *for bugs and hackers* (aka a mod) makes a human main debuff the skill “ intelligence” and to mention PvP was allowed since 1.0 when the first kill made was Cain and that’s because of the most worst yet op buff/debuff *free will* (even a mod was killed when when trying to add a new buff called eternal happiness) I would talk about the crusades but I don’t know what that is (if I’m proving your point then so be it and I apologize for wasting your time)
Another thing we're (almost) uniquely good at is our vision in optimal conditions. Few other animals (like birds of prey) have quite as detailed vision as we do during the day. We have 3 visible colors and very well-defined vision because of our arboreal ancestry, who needed excellent vision to navigate/climb dense foliage. Nocturnal mammals like raccoons and cats can see pretty well in low-light conditions, but, even in their best case scenario, their vision is still not as well defined.
Yes but we are also very glitchy, we say dumb things like “you too” when the waiter says “enjoy the meal” and our whole nervous system shuts down when we hit our funny bone
I've heard that if humans equip gillie suit their stealth increase to max? And if they use the overpowered sniper riffle too is scary, but i'm a support right now as a bull terrier because it has a very broken yet balanced build
Honestly a lot of the mods the main the humans are real peices of work, it’s kinda crazy how the human mains have not dealt with them, but they do have a lot of abilities exclusive to human moderators. Outside also introduced a choice for the next update, either we get the mars expansion that will be limited to a few winning human mains or the apocalypse expansion were earth becomes hotter than ever, but it feels to quick to get another reset since we just got one in the post Cretaceous update 🤷
Arguably, the best part of being a human player is during your “Birthday” . It’s a special event that occurs every year, on the date you joined the game
you forgot the skill "muscle buildup" where humans can increase their blunt attack damage by doing various exorcises this can also increase throwing distance and throwing power. "muscle buildup" can take a very long to do as players gain +0.1 strength every so often so it takes months of dedication to even make this a useful skill.
Yes, but nowadays humans are usually afflicted by the "boredom" status effect, caused by lack of interesting action over long periods of time. This means that training the "muscle buildup" skill also gets rid of the "boredom" ailment, resulting in a better run in general.
Though these bugs actually developed into de facto features because some humans discovered that if you exploit these bugs by incorporating them into your mental status bar, they will increase your mental motivation (aka stamina) points which can then be used to drastically improve their personal and/or social activity capabilities such as writing, singing, video game development, content creation etc. thus increasing their prestige points.
A odd thing is that the human faction, despite having such a high int stat, is so divided and unwilling to cooperate to be able to hop to a different populated server or populate a unpopulated server
This might sound weird but i want to know what would they do if a human would actually fight back i mean if they get grabbed by the neck thats ti right its like holding a guy by the balls they are Stunned too afraid to do any sudden movements
I feel like you should make a video including some of the micro builds like viruses and bacteria. This would be interesting because in multiple updates across all servers we have learnt that they succeed in mass murdering large population of humans and cause chaos and panic inside the clans and servers. Really interesting to note is that they are one of the og’s left in the game.
Well bats are able to do a ton of damage when you unlock the poison upon death skill. If a human doesn’t have the “chef” skill for their prestige you can give them a virus which then can be spread so you can do some serious damage as a bat but at the cost of your life
*DISCLAIMER: i dug deep into the tamed predator lore so this is a **-long-** very long comment* thats a TAMED predator they have special abilities their apex cousins dont: like *cuteness* and *home defense* the main purpose of *cuteness* is to look friendlier towards humans and was originally intended to ambush a party from inside, by being trusted, attacking them one by one and ultimately wiping out from 10 to over 25 players, depending on the party size. however, *home defense* was evolved by PURE friendly canine players with human companions. this ability is passive and helps fend off other humans who chose the burglar and robber sub-paths of the criminal path and other, non-human builds like racoons and, sometimes, pigeons. they also help the medical and K9 police sub-paths of the 911 path locate buried victims and criminals respectively also they look *cute as shit* and if you say otherwise you are *wrong* *i told you this was a long comment*
I put my skill points all into speed, I only have about 4 skills unlocked which is walking, running, climbing, and crawling, so I'm more of a runner. my strat is to throw items at my target and try to distract them, to get a free hit without sustaining any damage. Although this can take some time but it varies to who I'm fighting.
As well as unlocking the ability to teach, 'Speech' also unlocks a vc for human players. This makes it much easier to collaborate, as there is no need to resort to the ingame emotes and sound clips. Note that as a parrot user vc is slightly garbled and it is harder to understand the meaning of it, due to the classes lower intelligence and processing skill.
What's a good build right now? I was trying to do tankiness like maybe HP and damage or speed. Should I swap to a runner build and just do speed and stamina instead???
I personally chose to spec (as a human build) into a Texan, allowing me to carry up to 3 "heavy" guns and 4 "side-arms", any build cannot stop me unless they want to face down a HMG, even tank mains. I also spec'ed into the "Flamethrower", allowing me to be safe from insect mains too.
The same thing applies to the biggest threat to humans other than other humans- mosquitoes They don't deal significant damage right away, but have chance to inflict very serious poison damage, to the point it can be game over In short, the setup against humans is- thi smaller the animal, the bigger the threat
@Louis Tea Enjoyer Stupidity is the inevitable result of increased intelligence stat It's a double-edged sword, cause not every player can reach appropriate intelligence level
@@omnical6135 to keep us from getting too op? bro that ship sailed about 80 years ago when we learned how to control the power of the sun and go into outer space
@@Spiceodog Cats are very strong in the current meta, high mobility, stealth, night vision, and their iconic ability only shared with insects like ants: fall dmg immunity
I would like to say that through crafting, every problem you pointed out is able to be overcome better than any other build could dream of. No NV? GP/NVG-18 No flight? Now we can go Mach 10 No stealth? With enough training and the right kit, you can get plenty close to anything No power? Gunpowder
i just imagined it and its funny what i imagined: the other players used to bully humans at school so then the humans came back with a revolver saying:Im back *****'s! And shooting them LOL
yeah, he should've mentioned the real best matchup against humans, which is the disease-spreading team combo. Mosquitos cause the most human game overs by spreading the super op Malaria build, and now bats started to use this tactic as well.
full int build is op, not having strength might suck but you get more access to crafting options which, if you manage to max it out you get access to stronger weapons and you get to one hit literally any other build
also for the meta, using other builds like dogs or cats for support isn't actually as good as people may think. it doesn't actually contribute much to combat and other things.
one thing about the human build is that altough it may lack in strenght it is capable of increasing it through the use of tools, machinery and even thing used for increasing it, such as weights, they also can increase the efficiency of the attacks due to their high intelligence, wich made them able to formulate advanced fighting techniques, this is also what makes them a formidable matchup against other meta builds
They gave bat builds a bird build's secret ability (the SARS-Covid, which was first found in chicken builds in a 2003 update). It being better at spreading out is a result of a "glitch" caused by having one build using another build's secret ability
It's true I once spoke to a Dev and she said that human were supposed to be better. They were meant to have more speed and strength, with more health and less inteligence, but then every human main clicked hardcore, and now every human main is a tryhard who boosts their stats more than they were supposed to.
Ah yes, I remember the good old days when I played as a Neandarthal, they were pretty strong, also had some basic tools, could survive harsher enviroments (except hot enviroments) Homosapiens were weaker (when they were first added) but eventually maxed out their intelect wich was OP and honestly they can go for any enviroment.
things is most of the weaknesses on humans come from not being on much fight which meaning dont know how to react(like fighting strategies and not knowing how to react on a a smell or thing) and weakened organs humans figthing ability mostly comes from predicting (which is a result of good brain) some of thoose things can also be developed by teachin which comes with communication
I remember when the devs finally tried to nerf the human build by introducing a "plague" mechanic, which worked for awhile until they realized that the mechanic actually, ironically, did as much damage to the small/medium mammal builds as it did to the humans, and humans were eventually able to use their unique player skills to decrease the percentage of getting infected while the other builds were unable to protect themselves. I hope they roll out that "Planet of the Apes" event they've been talking about for years, but at this rate I'm not sure if they'll ever work out the bugs before release.
I've heard of two other balances they've been thinking of, one of them is a server wipe asteroid and the other is a new class envoked by a plague called "Zombie" and it's main target is supposed to be human builds.
Dont believe the hype Human builds with "Average Intelligence or Common Sense" tend to utterly crush generic zombies. You need hero class zombies to match humans.
The Plague mechanic was kind of an indirect buff to the human build though as by reducing their numbers it left much more loot for those that remained and thus helped them level up faster
One of the biggest flaws we have is that it is also incredibly difficult to spawn new players. With medicine items and doctor players, it’s not as big of an issue, but it’s almost required at this point or both the loading player and maternal player can die
The maternal player also gets a bunch of debuffs while the other player loads in, and the process of spawning the new player (the “labor” quest) pretty much leaves the maternal player incapacitated and dependent on her teammates for a while
Honestly Human class is such a glass cannon, exchanging defense AND stealth for intelligence. Even though they start off outright weak as hell, they can buff themselves by grinding muscle skill points or crafting armor and houses for temporary defense ups which only Human class can do, whilst the Monkey class can only craft Simple rank weapons.
I saw the title... Thought it would be an *actual* video about the genetic makeup of humans and the psysical advantages and disadvantages that have led us to become the dominant species on the planet, but instead I got a smash bros-esque tier chart and gameplay explanation. 10/10
The intelligence is still as high as it was. Only the meta among humans now is to either be goverment or snowflake clan. Both working together to make sure neither die off. Cause they are dependent from one another. Usually snowflake clans wouldnt exist because they are easy to take down. But goverment clan protects these asshats.
Goverment clans control the xp. So heavy builds like me work for them. To protect their asses. Which is funny cause if you take out the heavy builds, goverment clans wouldnt work.
3:15 well the running away comes from the awareness perk which lets them think and come up with more things and work together and make rules to better humans but it also leads to things like anxiety and other things caused by other thinking also morality of you can beat the bird up but you are taught not to and like I said being scared of getting hurt
i have always loved the way you describe all of this info in a way i and other pepole to under stand. i have been watching your videos sence i was like 7. (your videos are great)
There were so many changes in that build. Most of the mega reptiles were obsoleted too. Should have been numbered 2.0 to warn us of all the incompatibilities.
I mean aren't birds just a sub-class/specialization of reptile? I guess you could argue the devs split them off into their own class, especially once they got the Warm-Blooded trait.
