Season 1 to 6 was prime fortnite

back when fortnite was fortnite, and not crossover battle royale. back when epic listened to community suggestions, and everyone got excited when they implemented them. back when fortnite wasn't soulless. back when you could hit up any of your friends to join your game. You can't call what the game has become fortnite anymore. it's something new and way different. Epic should at least re-title it. it can be sorta fun at times I guess... but not at all in the way that any of us want. fortnite should've split into two games, one where epic can be big and corporate with all of their new fancy crossovers and one where fortnite can be itself.

I hate fortnite. Not because it is a meme to hate it, but because of what it has become. I loved it when fortnite battle royale was actually in the og style of save the world. Now look at it. You can barely tell that battle royale is even made by the same people of save the world (I know I exaggerated). These days I never even touch battle royale. I only play save the world.

The og save the world soundtracks really gave that eerie storm vibe. They need to bring it back

Season 1 is like a dream that we wish we could go back to, but never will. We have to look forward to the future instead of wanting to go back or we will never be happy.

... ... Fortnite is a pretty much tryhard only game. It’s rare to see defaults. You get killed automatically in a fight unless you aren’t a 90 cranker. Back then fortnite was fun. I could enjoy the game without dying. No one knew how to build, you couldn’t swim in water, everyone had only a few skins. I remember those times. Back in season 2 and 3. Everyone would be scared if they saw a John Wick. Tilted wasn’t gone, the map was normal. Now we have a new map that’s already a hot mess, we just want the old one back. This music made remember when back in season 3 i always landed flush factory. The fact that in season 7 it became a relic of the past along with greasy was just not right. And then it happened, people started sweating. I don’t really like the game that much anymore but I would do ANYTHING for another year of season 3 and 2. The tac smg, the LMG, heck, the crossbow. I miss it all. Just please do something epic. Something fun.

It’s 2017 and you just got back home from school and it’s a Friday you complete your homework and quickly eat dinner and then go on your console or computer and played this new game called fortnite that your friends told you to download, as you sign in and create an account and add your friends you start your very first match you landed at this lake and was stuck in the water because you walked very slow then you and your friends quickly came a pound this house on a hill in the middle of the lake it had a cave and you guys got all then goodies there then you soon realized that there were people coming after you guys you all got to kill each of them and got their stuff but then it was down to the last 3 squads you and your buddies hided in a bush and watched the fight it all come down to your enemy getting stuck behind a mountain and dying to storm you guys won and started laughing one of your buddies said “another match!” You said “yeah!” Then in a blink of an eye years of the game you and your friends used to enjoy changing and changing you soon realized that it’s chapter 2 season 4 when every you drop there is sweats and tryhards every where every fight you got in was a build fight and you keep dying to those sweats and tryhards then you started scrolling threw your friends list and found your old friends’ usernames and it says “last online 3 years ago” inspired by vortrixX4

I’d do anything just to play old fort again

Fortnite is chaotic and complicated, but when you just sit there and look at the trees and your surroundings, it feels like a completely different game. That is why I still play this game, for the graphics and the sound effects.

it's a normal day of christmas 2017. you hop on with some friends to play this new game you heard of called "Fortnite". You think to yourself, "who would make a game based off two weeks?". But that aside you get on and are instantly greeted by the blue, hexagonal background, with letters spelling out "Fortnite". You log on with some friends and in the lobby menu see a candy cane and a hut. You play this calm and soothing, yet somewhat nostalgic music playing, nevertheless, you play your first match. You drop at Dusty Depot and grab a grey pump-shotgun. You spot a competitor going for a golden, glowing treasure chest. You race to stop him. Boom. 121. Knocked Down Enemy. You got your first kill. Your friends congratulate you as one of them is sniped in the head. You all laugh. Someone goes and revived him, and they build a wall. "Wow, these building mechanics are awesome!". These words to be regretted in the near future. You try to track down your sniping adversary, but he's nowhere to be seen. You exit Dusty Depot and find some industrial buildings, factories. "This place has got some good loot!" you think to yourself. A little bit later you are in the final 8. Your squad against theirs. A battle to the death. One friend uses some buildings to gain an advantage. You use a rocket launcher. One friend goes down, then another, then another. It's you against them. You got it. You pull out a tactical smg to spray n' pray. You end up dying. Everyone laughs and seems to be enjoying themselves. "Another game" says a friend. You all agree. The next second you blink, and it's Chapter 2, Season 4 and you can't land without someone building a 5 story apartment complex. All of your friends are offline with a message displaying "Last Online 3 Years Ago". You think to yourself, "Man, what happened?".

I’m really surprised how this music calms me more than everything. It calms me more than Lofi or Even The rain. It’s fantastic. It also remembers me of how 8 year old me I remember me With that age , Everytime I got Stressed or sad I saw the coconut music. It Calmed me. And this is a call for that spirit of calling me by another random thing that’s actually good. (Sorry for Bad English)

Good old times of the old fortnite map

I’ve been played this game since chapter one, season one, back on my Xbox 1 in 2017. I was around 12, 7th grade if I’m not mistaken. I’m a sophomore in high school now, 17. I often find myself living in the past, specially in this game. My life was a lot different back then, and a lot of the memories I made with friends I don’t even speak to anymore were on this game. Fortnite in technical terms is better now, between the graphics and overall quality of the game. But the spark the game had wasn’t in that, it was just the time. Even if the game goes back to exactly how it was in chapter one, it won’t be the same, because it won’t take me back to that time. If anything it was just be bittersweet, nostalgic for a time that won’t ever come back. There will be no other game that will me feel as Fortnite did, because I’ll never be able to live through that era of my life again. And if you feel the same way, then I’m sure you know all too well what I mean. I still play Fortnite, all be it a lot less then I used to. Still boggles me to think that I’ve been playing this game almost my whole life, and we’re on chapter four now. My RU-vid channel is my time capsule, I was fortunate enough to capture some of the old memories I have on this game, among others and every now and again I’ll scroll through them to remember what I’ve lost. I’ll forever miss old Fortnite, but I’ll miss my childhood more

Does anyone remember the mountains? The mountains were an absolutely wondrous place that no one has ever truly been too. Whenever we make it to the mountains maybe we will finally feel those feelings again.

I wish Fortnite made a new game of it but it was a season 1 or 2 version so we could have the nostalgia back, and hopefully not have to use 500 mats for just one fight. Rip OG Fortnite, now it’s just a playground for sweats.

this makes me want to sit back and look at OG clips i have and just forget about all these new changes and all the sweats in the game, back then i thought this game would last forever without dying a bit, its crazy to think how far this game came and then it just ended up being a normal type competitive game. You not only miss the game, but how your life was back then. Remember how simple it was? Yet how you thought that your life had difficulties that today seem as if they were the easiest task to complete. Who wouldnt like to get back from school and play a match with his friends again. Just breathe the air of a world without pandemics, without wars, and a world were your biggest fear was trying to survive while hiding in a random bush or shaft. Wish we could turn back time.

Ya know, this makes me think back to when Fortnite was fun. There were no "tryhards" or "build battles", just all-around fun. The UI was much simpler and easier to understand. Epic has really ruined many things for casual players and new ones. That's just me though.

yes you didn’t search for this. yes you watched it and enjoyed it. yes this brought back memories of you and your friends playing squads landing in prison or fatal fields. You open the first chest you see and boom. a gold scar. you and your friends get excited and continue to loot. you leave with some nice weapons and you think you are going to win the match. the storm closes in loot lake so you all decide to make a base on top of the house there and fight the remaining players. you did it. you just won your first match ever. this game in it’s prime is arguably one of the best games of all time, sad to see all of these tryhards and comp players ruining public matches overbuilding and ramp rushing while doing high ground retakes. i started playing in the first day the br came out and i remember coming from school and go play with my friends for hours. damn those were the best times i had gaming with my friends.
