I think the difference with why Giant Chicken works and fat Peter wouldn’t is because his body is all one colour, unlike Peter who has two different colours and if they did what they did with the Chicken with Peter, his legs would look like they’re getting detached from the bottom of his body (someone on Twitter made a good example of this by roughly drawing Peter over the Giant Chicken)
