I hated this season until I finally decided to play the meta and hopped in squads with my friends, got in the battle bus, we dropped a 20 bomb victory royale with all of us laughing and having an amazing time
@@orhandalegend Or just a different emp for cars and players. They could have an EMP that's a different color like orange or something and name it a vehicle EMP and have both EMPs in the loot-pool. You have one EMP for 70 shield damage for the person IN the car, and you have another EMP of 300-500 damage for the car that disables the turret.

Man thank you for this video, all I want is balance in this game, getting called a “tryhard” and a “loser” all because I don’t wanna have to fight a car every final circle and actually build and be in a gunfight with the skills I’ve learned over the years is ludicrous.
I do think they should do the necessary balance changes for the new items, but i just dont want them nerfing the items so much that it renders them useless. That seems to be a problem with a lot of items we've gotten in the past.
We need to have the health of cars decreased and something that is effective at countering them. The other guy mentioned bringing back the anvil and he's right I don't understand why it's not in the game during a car orientated season
@@seriousdogo use the gloves and try to get in the turret seat. Then brake the Windows and shoot the front Windows which will scare them and make them leave. But if theres no room in the car get a boom bow and shoot the sides. The splash damage might scare them away or out of the car. Next tip, If your in the turret seat dont shoot at all which will make the people driving angry and get out the car to shoot you but immedietly switch seats and steal the drivers seat. Next if your in the drivers seat try driving off a cliff or the storn which will trick them thinking your gonna get out so they get out but just keep driving. Thats all the tricks ive used Goodluck
The biggest thing I've never understood about the fortnite community and all discussion I've seen within it is this massive delusion that unbalanced = fun and balanced = unfun, like idk about anyone else but in a PvP based game I literally cannot enjoy myself if the game is just legitimately unbalanced and not fair, I just feel like im wasting my time in front of a slot machine. Obviously its not quite that luck based but still, a fair fight is always much more enjoyable IMO
I absolutely love this season and how chaotic it feels. It’s not chapter 1 levels of chaotic but it definitely makes the game more interesting. Hoping epic don’t nerf cars and instead add more counters.
i feel the mythic cars do need a nerf, take away the regeneration- make them reliant on the standard means of repair. having extra damage and perma nitro/speed is already strong enough. standard cars should be fine with proper counters like emps being added back that disable movement (for a short time) and turrets (for an extended time). the battle bus dosent count for this, as there isnt always one on the map, when there is, i think its limited to one, has no range, awkward to use, and the enemy turret is still active. might also be worth them adding an emp turret as a car mod. in regards to car combat, ive found the best way to go about it is splitting a team through different cars. having one or two of the teammates be able to use their turrets to disable/support their team might be interesting? i would say give all cars the emp horn but, that would be too readily available i think. i dont like the idea of making cars countered to the point of uselessness, but being against a car of any kind in the endgame without one of your own shouldnt be a death sentance. its only really survivable if the zone decides to grace you with a cliff that cant be driven up.
as a non comp player and a huge casual i just think this season is super fun sure i can see how pro players are mad but it really doesn't effect me when I'm in a high speed chase gunning down the other car while driving through buildings. point is i love the season its super fun but i see the problems when it comes to competitive gameplay.
My favorite part of this season is not having auto shotgun and sniper meta anymore. I like how different the car meta is, but it really needs to be tuned down so cars are useful but not completely dominant
Same, every fight was boring since it was mostly auto shotties or snipers that I died to. Now gunfights feel fun because there isn't that contrived loadout. Now something that heavily detracts from this is the fact that Oscar is on the island and you can duel him for his auto shotty, meaning that there is always a chance that you'll run into one person with it, and ruin your fun. But other than that, and the Nitro Fist needing a bit more of a nerf, season's good.
the problem is that everyone thinks the game is for them, and that zero build players think that EVERY builds player is a sweat and that builds players think that EVERY zero builds player is bad, like just fucking chill out, and analyze, the cars have too many health, they never had that many hp, why not making them have the old amount of hp? like 900 for deportive, 1200 for 4x4 and then the mythics with 1500-1700, and aswell, adjust them to the game modes like they did a while ago with drops's balloon hp, if ur on solos 550-700 and 1000-1200, then duos 700-900 and 1200-1500 and stuff like that so if u want to break a car its not easier on squads, and doing things like making the anti-ammo and player damage spikes only for mythic cars, just with that it would be more balanced
The one thing I'm wondering though, to those who are complaining about the cars, why do they not pick one up themselves? There's just so many cars around the map this season, and it's very easy to equip yourself up. Sure you can't box yourself anymore and do ghost-peeking and heal offs, but surely this shouldn't be a problem? Meta is ever changing and the meta changed, now use cars instead. What's so bad about it?
@@djailsonfelipe84 The problem is the fact that it ruins the point of the game, the entire point of Fortnite to build, shoot, and run. With the cars, all you do is sit in a car and just spam the infinite ammo of the turret or grenade launcher. It WILL get old after a week or two, because nothing ever changes when you sit and ride around all game. No gun fights, no taking high ground and punishing, nothing that SHOULD be in Fortnite.

Yes and car gameplay is straight up not my cup of tea! I love the biomes. I would rather lose to someone better than me to someone who decides to play rocket racing in zero build.

People are upset about the cars but must have completely forgot that we had OP Water Mythic nonsense and Chain of Hades. That killed gun play last season. This season, the cars aren't the problem. It's the Fists/Gloves. Someone can start spamming the punches and throw you off a cliff. Instant death from fall damage.
Waterbending was more balanced because of the structure damage, it didn't have much and even tho it's damage to players was great you had to aim to use it, the chains were supposedly bugged and went through walls and NGL they were bad for the game, but gunplay wasn't bad last season, this season is another story, cars are broken and they (hopefully) will get nerfed or removed from comp, since cars are so op people aren't seeing how broken the fists are too, but those things are unhealthy for the game
You’re one of the very few to address this issue. I’ve adapted to the cars, but the nitro fists as you mentioned are serious problem. I get destroyed by them constantly without almost no warning at all & building is pretty much useless against it
There's definately validity to not wanting to adapt to the ridiculous mechanics of this season just as there is with not wanting to play with metas or sweating. I think the real issue here isn't an argument of the grander loot pool, but rather what Epic could be doing to satisfy both communities. Epic has been on this really weird binge of trying to make Ranked exactly like Casual which I think is unhealthy. Ranked should have an adjusted loot pool that focuses more on the gun/build fights that competitive players want out of this game, while keeping Casual as is to satisfy people who just like to have fun. I think this season is insanely fun in fact it's my personal favorite season I've ever played but I could totally understand why someone wouldn't like it. It's just that I'd really rather not sacrifice my fun for theirs when both parties could be happy if Epic wasn't so stingy about unifying the balance between scenes.
I dont know what they're smoking at epic games to think this is a good idea. Making pubs and ranked the exact same, yet for some reason deciding to make tournaments completely seperate (and what ranked should be). It's cool to have fun sometimes, but keep that in pubs, so that when im tired of mowing down people with cars, and getting mowed down with cars, I can go and play a game that takes geniune skill to win at.
Honestly o really love this season loot pool and encourage you to be more aggressive but i do think the car needs a Nerf or nerf the bosses cars its crazy they could have infinite gas and health region to if you don't get hit
I’ve not had this much fun playing Fortnite in a long time. I think the chaos is great for casuals, but Epic should still strive for a more balanced meta while keeping the fun aspects of this season
Honestly just split the loot pool and the game is amazing. The Nitro fists having the melee attack in comp will probably get fixed (Just like the chains) and the cars aren't in tournaments. Ranked just needs to have the competitive loot pool and everyone will be happy.
Im sure that pros would appreciate if a 3rd Mode is added to mainly focuses on Balance & Competive, while has its own separate weapon pool. The more polished Ranked, instead of a "Casual" Copy. Im sure the Community wouldn't mind waiting a few month for it to get worked on instead of throwing gasoline at the fire via unnecessary hot fixs.
I agree, in the previous seasons cars were just used for rotation and only rotation, at least now they’re actually useful for more than just rotation, plus we have a cross bow and grenade launchers on cars that are specifically made to destroy vehicles, pros can just grab those
@@Prussian7777 I actually agree, EMP’s would cripple the cars and force people to actually pick up guns and fight, the only problem is that everyone would use EMP’s and no one would use cars cuz they’ll just be EMP’d anyway and the whole point of the season goes down the drain, EMP’s would have to be nerfed to stopping cars for a few seconds which gives players time to properly damage the vehicle or kill the occupants or make EMP’s very rare to find.
This season definitely could have some improvements but overall I find it pretty fun more so with friends because driving after someone as your friend shoots a turret at them is so much fun

Im mainly a comp player and rn im not really happy about the car changes because the game went from build and shoot to just run people over and use a turret on them so my idea for a fix so everyone is happy is just making a loot pool for casual games and a loot pool for tournaments and ranked
This is the best way to look at it. Both sides are acting immature but each side has valid points and invalid points. I lean more towards casual play myself and hate when people start building on me, but I also agree the cars are annoying and do need a few nerfs and better counter play options. What I’m more focused on though and is why are most of the battle pass and store cosmetics poop recently. The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, and Marshmello need to leave the store and never come back. The only thing Lady Gaga related I’d be happy with is the stupid love emote.
You realize those music artist skins have their own section, right? Like they literally take nothing away from any other skin in the shop. If you don't care about them you can easily just not buy them

How are the casuals acting immature???? We’re just calling out the competitive community for acting like babies and to stop acting like Fortnite cares about them. They honestly could not care about competitive accept for FNCS which honestly I’m surprised is still a thing as I know nobody expect 10 year olds who care about it. But competitive players are no fun and have given this game a bad wrap for over half a decade now
Ranked should 100% should have a separate loot pool to fit the needs of the comp community. But also, I hope Epic reframes from nerfing stuff immediately, but instead introduce counters. Like bring back the Anvil Rocket Launcher, the Explosive Bow, EMPs and Boogie Bombs to add a layer of depth. Then if all else fails, then bring in the nerfs. That way it’s still possible to keep that chaotic fun for casuals, but more skilled players feel that they can have a chance to counter given the right set of tools.
If they nerf cars it will ruin the season and they should not unvault EMPs as it would ruin the entire point of the season. EMPs last for 30s and it would give tryhards enough time to destroy the cars and ruin the fun. At least the anvil is fair as it would take skill to lock on the car and the driver has some sort of chance to evade the explosion

you realize the point of a counter is..to counter something? that's the point. those things should render the cars useless. I along with most casuals are the main people with a issue. a minority of people who are like levels and levels below casual players, who THINK they're the casual players, are the people who want cars to be unstoppable.
@@Errenyaegerrr I disagree with you. As a legitimate casual (plays 2-4 hours only like every other day) I think the cars being somewhat unstoppable is great. My friends with similar play times agree with me as well. In a season about cars, everyone should be using them. I think people who complain about it are just stubborn babies who refuse change. IMO, Fortnite has always been about changing things up and this season is a great example of that. The main reason I’m still playing Fortnite to this day is because the gameplay never feels the same. Each season forces you to change the way you play and this season took that concept to another level. I hope we see more seasons like this in the future.

I saw a video just like this from a comp player that had very very similar takes, i thank you for understanding and being reasonable. I love when everyone in the community is happy, think about something like chp 5 season 1, a direction line where Fortnite is going is terrible and it discourages me from playing the game ive loved and got good at since growing up with my friends in season 2
This season would be so much better if they actually has real counters to the cars. 1. Nitro fists can't really destroy a car consistently unless it's not moving, especially boss vehicles 2. The boom bolt is not the easiest to find, and when you do it only takes rocket ammo (the rarest ammo type) 3. The battle bus has the only viable emp function, but it's surrounded by NPCs and in many cases players as well 4. Guns are pretty much ineffective unless you have the infinite ammo medallion. If EPIC adds more ways to counter the cars I feel like it could be a more balanced season. Ways they could balance 1. Add an EMP launcher, or an emp version of the boom bolt. 2. Add icons on the map for the location of Boss vehicles similar to medallions. 3. Nerf nitro boost abilities (not nitro fists, just the boost effect) slightly so they don't break walls in one hit. These are just some ideas I've thought of
I feel like I'm on both sides of this argument: I really like the season so far. The new medallions, landmarks, and mechanics are all cool. Same with the battle pass (even though I probably won't get it). I especially like the car mechanics. But I also believe that the cars are broken and that they need to be nerfed. There are many ways to do this. Whether it be decreasing the durability and fuel with more modifications, or even making the turrets much easier to destroy.
Basically what i came up with is that when you are have 4 friends in a car its fun getting mowed down by one bad. I see both sides of the argument and the sad reality is that it is theoretically impossible to unite both sides like how it’s impossible to unite ch2 yes men and ch1 yes men who hate each other’s opinions thats a never ending cycle of toxicity and echo chambers
From the stance of a somewhat competitive zero builds player who actually loves this season, I agree with the points you made, but I have a few things to add. First, I agree that some things should be nerfed - mostly just the boss cars. However if you play it right, the cars are 100% counterable by taking high ground, spraying the windshield, or hopping in the car with them and blowing it up. People are saying this season takes no skill, but I beg to differ. This season just requires *different* skills such as movement and positioning. I've seen clips of people boxing up with wood in the middle of a road and complaining after they get run over. The same strategies from last season aren't going to work now, and Fortnite is an ever-changing game, so you have to expect to change your playstyle once in a while. And yes, there are moments when you will die unfairly, but how is that ANY different from getting headshot sniped and instantly dying to someone you didn't even see last season? If every single fight was completely fair, with no unbalanced mechanics, the pros would be happy, but you'd have just as much fun playing 1v1 boxfights in creative all day Also, about the pro scene - it's 1 season. IMO it's perfectly fine to have 1 season to just mess around now and again, because in a couple months it'll be back to normal again like it never even happened. The past few seasons have been perfect for pros, but very boring in my opinion, so I think it's about time the casual players get thrown a bone. It's extremely rare that there's ever a season that both casual and pro players enjoy, so that's why they go back and forth between balanced and chaotic seasons. Right now it's just not their turn. Plus, I heard somewhere that cars were disabled in tournaments? Yes positioning is super important. Having natural high ground on a cliff where the cars can’t drive up is super essential, there’s definitely ways to minimize the car inconveniences. The headshot snipe thing is a double edged sword because on one hand, someone has to be exposed and out in the open while the opponent has to actually line up their shot. Which sucks for the person dying but it’s just part of the game. I don’t think this will be as bad as season X given how many people are loving this season. Cuz season X was a season that most people collectively didn’t like despite having unique ideas. I should have brought up how hard it is to please both comp and casual players. Because both communities are essential to the game. I think the major flaw is the redundancy of farming mats, looting etc. because cars essentially make it obsolete to an extent. Gameplay changes are good but you still need the fundamentals for early game. I think this season is very interesting. Epic nailed it in terms of biomes and ideas. Those counters have a chance of working in solo zero build, But they completely fall apart when switching to a gamemode like builds duos or even solos.
At the start of the season, I thought it was initially really cool. Vehicle combat hasn't really been a primary part outside the war season. It really was a balst and enjoyable at the start until i started realizing how anti build this season was. Nitro being able run through near all builds as well as damaging players you come in contact with. The vehicles being able to take boxes for free. The whole desert area being literer with nitro canisters, heal stations, and slurp cacti which all support a vehicle play style. Not to mention the full health boxes laying arounf that can deny all damage you've done. The lack of proper anti vehicle weapons and utility items really shows how absolutely needed they are. I may not be a fan of hyper builders and extremely competitive players, but jt isn't fair that all their effort goes down the drain because someone decided to grab a car over a gun. Also it's really telling how strong cars are this season with people relying on exploits to stand a chance.
I have only played zero builds since it was introduced and have only played builds when my friends want to play it, so most of the complaints about cars going through builds don’t even apply to me lol
I think that in general, the best thing Fortnite can do is split casual and ranked/competitive. Casual needs to be fun for casuals but even this season could have a more balanced lootpool/meta because driving a car the whole match should not be the only way to win. Ranked/Competitive however needs balancing on a whole different level to where the meta does not drastically shift season to season with over-powered mythics and new mechanics/features. It could realistically be a win-win if the two sides of the game were separated and both balanced to an appropriate degree so both can have fun.
I completely agree, however it’s unfortunately clear that Epic games time and time again has purposely chosen not to separate loot pools. They have a twisted mindset that keeping ranked/competitive modes the same as pubs will attract casual audiences to the competitive scene, which is simply untrue.

It feels backwards because I'm on the casual side of the Fortnite community and because the ranked/competitive side has very little consistency and balance, I and many casuals don't care to try it. If pubs and ranked/cups were separated appropriately it would make a lot more sense and, in that case, more would try it and existing competitive players would be a lot happier.
This season is FUNNY AS HELL I love crashing through enemies with cars, but I realised quickly that... 90% of my fights happened in the car now turrets and grenade launchers deal good damage and... you're quick and secured behind that driver's seat so when I played Ranked it got very clear to me that uhhh... yea the combat is weird now So for casual fun, one of the best seasons for ranked matches, one hell of an apocalypse... wait a second...
We actually have 8 biomes. The reckless railways area, the pleasant piazza area, the snow biome, the Olympus biome, the underworld biome, the lavish area, the rebel roost area, and the new desert and you could even consider the Nitrodrome its own biome
Adapt is the stupidest comeback if I have a 2000 hp suv that heals fist aren’t doing anything against that. You just get chased down because of the infinite fuel. They need to add something like emp grenades or the anvil launcher.
Adapt loser. The cars are not that hard to fight. Literally the boss cars can be destroyed easily. I destroyed all the boss cars before the final 5 circles it was not hard whatsoever

So glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. I got shot down by my friends when this season dropped after I said the cars are not fun to go against, and I told them this: "It's fun to be in the cars but when you're up against a tank then it becomes not fun" but I was just told I don’t like fun.
Honestly, the only thing keeping from having fun in Fortnite is the amount of lag I get from using AT&T internet, but that’s not even Fortnite’s fault. When you make a big game, you’ll need to use big internet to use it, and I can’t believe they still haven’t found ways to condense data even better
If u play with cars like me you know that even if your good with them, there is still a huge level of difficulty, If you hide in them all game and use the turret your probably gonna get shot by another car or player, if your driving around a lot then someone is probably gonna try to jack your car from you which you need to figure out a strategy to outsmart them and get your car back. I definitely get that its harder to not use a car but you can outsmart people that way because right now most people are just looking for players that have cars. Also if u play more than like 5 games you can actually learn how to be good this season, just like any other new season.
2 fixes that will probably satisfy both sides, 1: make ranked have the competitive lootpool. So no cars or boogie bombs, like arena had. 2: Add emps back to ranked and pubs.
Look, im the type of guy to say “just adapt” because im genuinely biased İ have been waiting for a vehicle combat themed season for YEARS. Planes were awesome but they got nerfed to the ground, Mechs were fun but they did ruin the game But this is the only time where i will be able to just go crazy on some players with my squad and if they nerf the cars to the point where they become weak like how they ruined the purpose of c2s6 by buffing makeshifts and increasing the crafted weapon rng just because the “pro players” cried and bitched about it, idk man… i just dont want Epic to kill the cars, yes nerf the super cars but not the regular ones.
@@MoonzOk Funny part? They used to separate the weapon pool for pubs and ranked especially in Chapter 2. They stopped doing it after they released the new rank system (which is worse than the old one in my opinion).
Just started playing since season 8 and I had no idea how to play the battle royale mode. The biggest issue I see with the game is the convoluted UI. Maybe they should streamline the basics first.
This video genuinely needs to be pinned on top of the Fortnite subreddit or something. I think the main issue, as a Builds player who is critical of this meta (and I'm typically rarely that critical of seasons), is that every counterargument seems to hinge on the idea that anything is fun as long as it ends on a "Victory Royale" screen. Like you said: It's far too black-and-white. People say "just adapt! The cars aren't broken if you just use one yourself!" completely ignoring the fact that if the only way to survive this season is to throw out everything that previously made Fortnite's gameplay its own, then it's simply just a different video game. If some parts of the community still enjoy that, fantastic, genuinely, but it's frankly unfair to completely twist the game into something else entirely and then act like everyone has to like it the same as they liked it before, or laugh at people whose enjoyment of the game was stripped away for no reason. What would be better is if the cars (and every other new item for that matter) were balanced in a way where they're viable without being basically designed to hard-counter builds, because that still retains the core aspects of what Fortnite gameplay should be. Put simply: This season isn't additive like a season of a video game should be. Previous drastic changes like sprinting, sliding, or mantling, for example, add to the existing gameplay, not overshadow it. Those things are now integral parts of Builds, but they didn't make previous Builds tactics obsolete. They made the mechanic deeper as a whole. This, on the other hand, fundamentally replaces building mechanics which, if you play this game for the building, simply leaves nothing for you. Cars can absolutely be fun at times but this season just feels like another video game that I'd play when I want a break from Fortnite, whereas my actual favourite game has basically just been deleted for three months. Like you said, this feels less like it's simply trying to lean a little more towards casuals and instead like an outright middle finger to anyone who isn't one.
Okay but here’s the thing, it’s gonna be here for only three months, just let us casuals have our fun for three months then the cars and fists are vaulted and you get to go back to building skyscrapers every time someone coughs in your direction and we go back to running for 40% of the game and just blandly shooting at people.

It doesn't have to be "this video game is terrible for you for 3 straight months because screw you," they can just find a compromise that makes everyone happy
@@kaiju9363 I don't have specifics, but have the focus of cars be mainly to fight other cars. Obviously don't make them pointless, but rather than have them barrel through any builds, shoot a billion grenades, etc, make them more strategic. Make the grenades and turret shoot slower, make the damage a player takes by being rammed decrease with each wall the car goes through immediately before (so you can't ram someone for like 150 while they're boxed up). Make car turrets damage the car it's attached to so you can't close-range grenade spam without risking your own car. It'd even be a good idea to make cars take more damage when ramming builds so that it's a calculated decision and not just holding boost until you win. That way you can still use cars effectively, but you actually have to be smart about it As for the nitro and fists, make them supplementary items - for mobility, or for resetting a fight. They simply shouldn't be better than using a gun - this is a shooter game, instead they should make using a gun easier. Either decrease player damage from sprinting into them with Nitro or remove it entirely, because it straight-up just ignores build-based combat and is also everywhere. Make the fists' punch attack do less damage, and have it be more of a last ditch effort rather than being able to 200-0 entire teams (The TMNT stuff was great in this regard). Its real value could come in the form of mobility and surprising opponents with the slam attack. Basically, just make it so you have to be strategic with the new items instead of just holding down whatever keybind makes stuff explode
@@TheAlphaTeamPlays The car changes I agree with, I love the cars but I’m sick of being rammed and plowed through a building and no damage be taken to these already tanky cars, I love the turret damaging itself idea and it promotes a smarter play style as you said, however I disagree with the Fists and the Nitro, the fists do need to be nerfed but not used strictly for mobility as they’re intended to be a weapon first and mobility second, and you can’t just get rid of Nitro, that’s something that’s involved with pretty much the whole season, even Megalo Don is Bane-ing up with the stuff, you can’t just retcon it.
I’ve already adapted to cars :/ it’s the same like when they first came out just jump out of the way and if they try shooting you just steal their damn car
@@sussyman9034not everyone plays squads and ur forgetting the fact that the other player is in a car or might also have fists. Cars are faster, have more fuel, and are able to beam you out of the sky
I think it can be really fun but I can admit the cards make me want to not play sometimes. One duo game I played I used all my rockets with the mythic crossbow and it still wasn’t enough. I think emps and anvil launchers are perfect for this season
The problem with this chapter so far is that Epic will just dump 95% of the content in the start of the season, and then make like 2 little updates towards the end
Both are crazy. Cars you can kinda have an idea what they’re gonna do if you see them ahead of time. The nitros are insane, like they’re so fast to the point where you can’t exactly predict which direction they’re gonna go.
Agreed. I mean, today I haven't been killed by either of those items, so maybe as the season goes on people won't be using those items as much, because everyone'll be used to them.
The fists are actually so insanely overpowered when used right. If someone gets near you with the fists in a small area there is quite literwlly nothing you can do
I honestly love this season it’s so much fun seeing everyone in cars and the chaos but i will admit it’s like the baller situation that happened back when they were added in but even worse since cars have more health and guns i think they need to nerf the fists too they just do a lot of damage and can easily get through walls
I like fun, but it definitely needs to be balanced, add more weapons to defend against cars! Slightly debuff cars with stuff like armor, weapons, so much!
@@LiamFiedler-us4qhthey’re adding a new heavy sniper that will do 3x damage against cars and the flint-knock pistol made be good to get away once it’s back. They’re also of course adding those harpoon guns so you can attach yourself to their car and have them not run you over. Possibly.
I feel like this could go two ways, the season ends and it is labelled as one of the worst seasons ever or the season ends and people actually start to miss the chaos that is happening
only thing i dislike about this season is my lack of spatial awareness and forgetting the gauntlets exist until I'm mauled by them XD I wanna try getting a handle on them lmao, seeing people go hulk smash on others is hilarious
All I'm saying is, Fortnites oldest premise has been to pick up guns, take to building and defeat your opponents. As of this season, Fortnite has become drive your car until it breaks and then get demolished immediately, building or not, guns or not - barely matters. This is no longer the game i feel like playing. Creative is not the same, so it is not an option in my book. I want for this season to end so I can return to the regular game.
I get so tired of all the 10 year olds just plowing through my walls with the nitro run and bunching me to death in half a second because they dont know how to aim with a gun

It almost seems like theyre trying to remove builds altogether. And if you look at the amount of players playing both modes, theres always more people playing zero builds
@@cubeman6639 players when they realize building a 5-star hotel and editing fast isn't going to get them a win. it's always the sweats and comp players that can't adapt. If the meta isn't AR, shotgun, movement, and heals, they start crying because a live service game is changing. They refuse to adapt to the game causing Fortnite to make a new season with the meta being the same ch5 Season 2 is a good example of that and then they go and cry about how the game is feeling the same and needs to make a change. I'm sorry but I'm not trying to watch people sit in builds all game and edit fast I'm trying to watch action, not slow pace games
I love the season, but the cars are absurd uinless you also have one or zone closes on a tall building. (I honestly had the idea to just make metal more resistant agaisnt cars, as that would make the port a bunker an actual bunker and not a paper towel) Also boss cars are stupid
I want to add that the pro/ tournament playing community will always stick around even when the pubs players think the game is terrible, so you got to remember who actually cares about the game and not who is just there when the can win with no skill
zero build is legit just fucking rocket league. I came back to this game to start grinding zero build ranked with my homie because im not caught up with the new building mechanics, but bro i want it to be somewhat skilled and not car royale. The meta being cars is just unfun and annoying

@@TheSloanMan but that’s how new seasons always are. When the zone is moving out of the area (which will be the case quite often) the cats are gone. That way they’re just earlygame equipment in some matches.
I have the feeling that Epic have all the car counter items planned but they did as when they launch Zero Build forcing us to play the more extreme version of this Meta to compare with the more balanced later.
I was generally really exited for this season. I like fallout, and the theme this season set out is one of the coolest. But then they release not only the most op vehicle since the tanks, they bring back only spam weapons in the lootpool (combat shotgun combat ar), which totally outclass every weapon in the game that needs some kind of skill to use. I should also mention im trying to get better at the game and i mainly do that with battle royale since, well it has the best scenarios to play in and evolve. So in my opinion, make fortnite have balance between casual and competitive, because it wont be fun having no way of countering something non skilled than going back in skill and just using spam weapons. (this might be what he said in the video idk i just wanted to express my feelings)
I think the game suddenly becoming Twisted Metal is hilarious from an outsider's perspective, but I do agree that there needs to be items to counter them (EMPs and anvil rocket launchers) so matches are not always "get a car, get a grenade launcher, get a spiked bumper, win", because I imagine it will get stale pretty soon, even for casuals like myself. The strategy of deciding what to take with you in every match is kind of lost when you can just hop in a car and play the entire game that way until you inevitably get blown up by someone else's car. Also I wonder if they're trying to give more incentive to buy cars in the shop now, since you're bound to see those more than your actual skin for 90% of the match.
Crazy to me that they vaulted every counter to cars when they released them this season. They are catering towards those who are not great at the game, so they rely on the op cars to be able to kill people epic clearly did this on purpose to let the hyper casual noobs be able to kill those better then them, its such an unhealthy move from epic towards the overall health of the game as now every single big streamer and youtuber hates this season while thoses timmys who had a 0.33 kd last season are absolutly loving it
You know it’s a bad season when you can only have fun in ONE way. Last season, sure Cerberus medallion was busted, but overall, you could still play and HAVE fun. You didn’t NEED that medallion to place, but in this season, if you don’t have a car in a team game mode, you’re fucked. Even in solos, you can get fucked.
I think the Major problem with this Season is that there's a lack of real Strategy. 😅 1. OP items, in any season, can be fun to use; and there are a bunch of people who find 'Fun' in using just OP items to get a Win. They are casual and most likely play in groups. Let's call this *Group A* of the Community. 2. However, there are a bunch of people too who have 'Fun' when having strategies, positioning and overcoming obstacles, by skill alone. They tend to play in Solos or Duos; may even compete in FNCS. This is *Group B* . Group A are more casual players; and most likely play in groups and don't take the meta too seriously. And if they do, they CHOOSE to use OP items then make an excuse for those who complain to adapt and 'Get Better'. Group B are people who are really Competitive Players; who want to push the Meta and be the Best there is with what the Game itself offers. They are used to winning with good aim that they have been practicing for. They train to have better building mechanics over others because they have practiced hours upon hours to hone-in their skills. They want the game to be more BALANCED because to them, winning with skill and strategy is more fun then using OP items to win. Less excitement and more strategic play. Group A and Group B are gonna be completely divided this season; but I think this Whole *Chapter* has made the two Groups much more apparent in the Fortnite community. Chapter 5 has major problems in how they shaped the Meta for all 3 (and 4th) Seasons. - *Medallions* : These Medallions become a must-have and forces people to go after them. Now, in Ch.5 S1, the medallions were not that OP by themselves but were spread all about the map. This gave players the freedom to go anywhere on the Map, without that being considered of 'throwing the Game'; due to not striving for medallions or having to go to certain locations to get them. They have the option to go get a medallion; but it wasn't required to land at these certain parts of the Map. That sounds Great 👍. Now, if you got all 5 Medallions, then it showed you were skilled to get them in the lobby. Group A would see the usefulness of one Medallion as 'Weak/No fun'; while Group B would say it's 'Fair/Not a Must-Have'. But if all are acquired, then the community would say 'That's Fair, they earned it'. In Ch.5 S2, there are 4 Medallions, less than before, but they give you powers that can make you feel/play OP compared to others in the lobby. The locations of these Medallions are ONLY AT 4 POIs; which limits players to having to go near or at these POIs to get the Medallions. Group A is fine with the powers and makes them excited to utilize them, while Group B sees which of the Medallions have the best usage in combat and strategizes around that. The Cerberus Medallion was by far the Best Power that season. The worst was that there was no REAL Strategy around the Cerberus Medallion other than touching water at those POIs (which were only at 2 POIs). Instead of touching Grass, Group B touched Water, every game, in order to compete with others who did the same. If not, then technically you were choosing not to have the power and were technically throwing. Strategically, Medallions determine where people land at; and if you aren't landing there, then you are putting yourself at a huge disadvantage. This technically limits the freedom to land at different POIs, since there's not much strategies to land off-course and you can't obtain something that's 'Fun and OP'. - *Bullet Drop* : Guns have projectile speed and fundamentally changes how we use guns after 6 years of Fortnite. The thing is, the guns are SOLELY DEPENDENT ON MODIFICATIONS. Originally, in all other Chapters, you see a gun on the ground you like and you... Pick it up. That's it; just aim and shoot. Your skill on how you use the gun determines everything. Hitscan really showed with good aim and timing, you deserve the win. The guns in Chapter 5, however, are solely reliant on modifications due to them having bullet drop. For example, the Burst SMG is a great gun; but its even better if it has Red Light modifications to lower its recoil and bullet drop, hip-fire easier, and an added reticle to aim better with it. And here's the problem... You need Modifications; for both Power and Strategy. Period. Group A sees modifications as: 'Wow! I get to modify my gun the way I want it? Sweet! I feel OP, empowered, and I have freedom to express myself on a gun I picked up.' Group B are like: 'Alright... Got a Reaper Sniper Rifle... It's a Must for potential one-shots... But it doesn't have the reticle I need in order to shoot comfortably... And the bullet drop doesn't help... I have no choice but to wait till the 3rd Storm phase and then compete in Vaults that slowly open... Against other players who are striving to do the same...' ... Every game. Heck, even the Vaults open up in Storm and that's just absurd. But regardless, everyone becomes reliant on Modifications. Unless you get a Mythic that has no recoil, bigger projectile size, great damage that multiplies, and fast reload... Waterbending. Now at the time, there was no real reason to have Chapter 5 guns if Waterbending was overall better. Previously, in other Chapters, if you picked up a gun, it was straight forward; the only thing random was what gun was randomly placed on the ground and it's rarity. But now, if you pick up a gun, you are relying on even its modifications... Which also limits how you shoot with THAT gun because of Bullet Drop off... And then you have to Wait till a Vault opens up... To fight against others who also have the same predicament as you or are more lucky to have found a gun with better modifications than you... So, what's the solution in Chapter 5? ... Land at POIs that offer: 1. The Medallion which Gives you Power 2. A Mythic Gun with Better Modifications ... Which gives more reason, Strategically and Casually, to go for POIs that offer these things... And if you don't land where that stuff is available at, then you are technically... Throwing. -_-_-_-_- I could go on and on, but Chapter 5's mechanics in both gun play and objectives/goals are really bad. Its not healthy for either Group A nor B because these advantages become a Must-Have in order to feel powerful over others or to play Strategically over others. Group A definitely gets more from this Season, while being Naive to how it effects the Meta of the game, while Group B are complaining due to there being no real or interesting strategy this Chapter. The advantages of new POIs are becoming unbearable to overcome. Chapter 5 has got to be the Worst Chapter Ever. When Epic fired all those employees after the OG season, the game hasn't been the same nor has the company been responsive enough to address the communities' concerns. Don't fall for the new skins or how the Graphics look; see the game as it is. At this Point, I'll play the game and try to *Get Better* . It's not a terrible season; I kind of like it but not that much. But I think I understand what OG players meant by now. I'm a huge fan of Chapter 4 (excluding Ch.4 S3), and I really miss the Augments system. Nothing is wrong with simplicity. In fact, the game seems like it wants to Evolve; but really, it's escalating to be worse than it's predecessors. I guess for now we can stick to ridiculous strats that lack effort; but I do miss previous chapters. Oh well. Hopefully ya are happy with what the game has become. .... *GG GET BETTER, DUR DUR DURRR*
Best commant by far. But even if you make some relatively good as a og player who came back back n forth and missed all of chaoter 4 except for og and maybe season 4 i can say that i love chapter 5. Idk why i just loved it..i also identify with both groups. Im a casual/competitive player right in the middle. :) And i can say i love this season a lot

Although the cars can be pretty overpowered and more so overwhelming, this season is great with how much movement there is. I've found that cars are more overpowered in squads or trios over duos or Solos for the simple fact you can jump in the car and basically take it from them, although you can shoot the driver in the car if you switch off the turret and pull your gun out. I would say the only thing that "needs" changing is more weapons that they showed us in the trailer.
