I love how The End music (when the meteor starts falling onto the zero point) still gives you chills even after 5 years. It’s crazy how amazing they crafted the piece
It really does. I play the music pack in my lobby right before any live event, and it just hypes it up even more. Though I feel like I shouldn't have done it with Fracture...
If they showed more lore stuff i think the big bang would've been one of the best events. The animation was great though, just a shame all we got for story was new realities and peely is missing, but we'll wait and see what else they have to show us.
@@Harew0lf they're definitely doing a lore reboot, alot of people are saying that this event was showing the big bang happening again, recreating every reality, basically resetting the storyline, and it shows in chapter 5 with people like jones going from a happy normal guy to a depressed, vengance seeking criminal
tbh ive been sick of the lore stuff. peak battle royale story for me was the little things and environmental details back in chapter one. before the IO and the loopers and the reality randomness. I liked when it was still just some form of training simulation.
The thing about the big bang was you knew there was gonna be more stuff after the black hole (since they announced the eminem concert) but the end was terrifying for everyone since it just went to a black screen and we didnt know when the game would come back.
I think we all somewhat new the game wasn't dead forever, but the dead silence after watching everything die hit harder, especially when there seemingly wasn't a happy ending. Low-key if they didn't announce Eminem, or saved it for a later date, the white high shit could've actually came as shocking.
the main reason I loved the Big Bang so much was because I missed the original event back in Season X and watched it through a Live Stream I was happy to have a second chance at seeing it.
The most likely reason the Kevin island was absent is that Jones only needed Kevin to extract the Zero Point from the center of loot island, once that part was done he probably disposed of the island via the time machine
Difference is that lore wise it made sense for it to happen all over again...just in a different timeline, not to mention the big bang event was twice as long as the black hole event because we knew their was more to come afterwards People say there wasnt enough storyline in the big bang...but it didint seem any less storyline than any chapter 1 event. All these chapter 2 and chapter 3 nerds are just mad they are trying to simplify the story and not make it over convoluted
From the lore knowledge: The End was a failed attempt at fixing reality itself. The Big Bang was the successful attempt of such event. Edit: Even the song makes it obvious, while in The End the song was omnious and had catastrophe-like feeling, the Big Bang song was more of like heroic/confidence like tweaks, knowing damn well what will happen yet not how. We really lived the bad ending first canonically.
Although they both were doing different things. The first end event was not about resetting reality, while the second was. I get what your saying though.
Something I would like to point out (something I believe this event retconned) is that in season X the seven used the 6 rift zones to bring their rockets into this reality (either that or the one rocket during season 4 rifted to this time using those rifts 6 different times) with the 7th rocket being the scientist or visitor who jumps into the zero point, while the big bang event just has one rocket that clones itself somehow
its like how "you cant change history" even though the time machine tried to mess up the rocket and the meteor, everything still happened like it was supposed to the world still thinks that the rockets should exist, even though they dont this is the definition of a "canon event" (i made this all up but i like to imagine it)
@@Oktav99a good idea except slone says that everything Jones did ripples backed to the present. Don’t let spiderverse confuse you we all know miguel has no idea what he is really talking about anyways.
@@Oktav99a I like that explanation butttt I do think epic was just lazy and didn’t add riftzones because it was too much effort, I saw this coming before the event but I assumed they would have some alternate event or it would go wrong but noppe just lazy I’d say
@@Harew0lfthey completely remade the chapter 1 map to bring it for season og. All the hills were different from their chapter 1 versions, aswell as dustys and desert biomes terrain being changed
So I like how this is...almost a 1:1 event. It's poetic, it makes sense. We're back in time and the island will end the same despite Jones' oopsie daisy ripples, but with Jones' time machine strapped onto it, it'll form a new timeline...somehow. And that's the issue I have with this, there's a lot of "Uhhhh why is that happening" moments. Why does the rocket glitch? Why does the _meteor_ glitch? Why don't all six rockets suddenly appear from the rifts so they can come join together? Is it still The Scientist piloting this plan? Where the hell did the other rockets come from? It's very odd. Unlike The End, this event had a lot of foreshadowing and more glimpses into the plan than The Scientist's foreshadowing. It also was a bit easier to understand because The Visitor, and now the Scientist. Hey, there's two with similar design. Hey, the rocket. Hey, the Scientist is making this rocket and it looks almost identical. Woah, what if there's seven of them in these rockets flying around? Maybe my dumbass just didn't understand what Slone's and Jones' logic was, but it's very "Uhmm okay sure." Nothing was really explained or given much logic and I'm just so confused. And now we'll probably never know because everything reset into a new timeline. Honestly the ad part wasn't even that bad for me because hey, new realities formed, that's crazy, maybe somehow Legos will be significant. I'm extremely doubtful, but I'm willing to hope. I just hate how they rushed right to it and left us with a lot of questions on what the fuck just happened during The End.
Honestly at first I loved the Big Bang event but after I thought about it, it kinda felt like the end event a little faster, to a bunch of advertisements. If there was more story stuff involved, which I expected, then it would’ve been a lot better and probably one of the best events
Absolutely insane reliving that again. For a moment near the part where the screen went black I thought we might get another 2 day wait. Pretty cool event though I would've liked a bit more story to it
I like to think The Scientist (or whoever was in the rocket at the time) saw how his rocket was glitching and decided to skip the whole theatrics and get right to the meteor. Perhaps they were in communication with The Seven and told them to enter the island through the rift behind the meteor rather than the rift zone rifts.
Or it start glitching same way as the meteor when its forming, Like, it starts sucking everything, it goes back, suck everything, goes sideways, upside down, then start sucking the players but not the „Stars”, which are just flying out of it
i feel like all epic did was take the old events files, reupload them, change a few things, then boom a new event. edit: i meant the fact that the rifts look the exact same in both videos.
what did you expect it was season X on season OG they could've do anything else because then there's that people that get angry because oh my god no why why didn't they use the rockegt!!
This is only half the event. In the second half, you visit a lego world, a rocket league world, and an Eminem concert. I would totally recommend watching the whole thing.
Both events are incredible, and in their own way it makes them unique but honestly like OG in Fortnite, the end of chapter 1 is more epic because it was the first event in the history of a game in which everyone believed that the game was going to close and at the same time the most epic, legendary and remembered of Fortnite and video games♥️💙👏👏
A lot of people are complaining that this is just like the first time, and I think they are missing the point. This is in the past, we are witnessing the same event AGAIN. This isn’t a new rocket, it’s the old one.
i think that epic didnt put as much work into this section of the event because its only a way to start what they really wanted to show. it lacked the shakes and effects that the original event had :/
@@welln0w i never said they were ads also almost every event is an ad for next season because they're promoting and encouraging people to buy this or play it Am i wrong?
@@Shtick0Events (season/chapter ending events in specific) are supposed to explain how each season or chapter transitions to another. Whether or not you get encouraged to play the game from them is on you.
The Big Bang event sadly was a let down personally the liftoff phase with the end event is the best part of it the rest being just ads for ch5 are what ruin it having lore and a setup for how we got to ch5 after the end event could’ve made it so so much better
To me this really goes to show how Fortnite as a game in general has evolved, the end event was perfect in my opinion, great music, great visuals, everything was perfect to me in this event, so rememberable, fast forward to modern Fortnite where epic games can't post something without basically placing 3 video ads along the way, and the fact that they would copy and paste a great event with minimal changes (which I didn't mind the music change and the rocket spazzing out I thought that was fine to me) and then cut the runtime in half just so they could IMMEDIATELY cut to 3 collab ads, each lasting like 5 times as long as the actual end event part, just bothers me in all the wrong ways, the zero point literally exists to sell their collabs now, the zero point is epic games money puppet now.
Yes, The Big Bang was an ad, but it was a fun event nevertheless. Ad =/= Bad. It was fun to see a preview of everything in the future of Fortnite, and the Eminem Concert was good (but WAY too short)
They make it more energetic imo. This one you know what’s going to happen so it’s like energetic. The other one the end is more mysterious since you didn’t know what was going to happen
Man, I tried to make a video just like it on my channel but I didn't know how to do this effect lol (don't accuse me of copying someone else's video because I posted it first)
this makes sense to me. jones came back to the old map in a different reality, where most seasons didn't happen and the end was way more near than expected. in this reality, all threats were open to the zero point, AND EVEN ONE GOT TO IT (kevin, but jones was only using him to bring the zp out of the in between ) then homie kevin done got rifted out of the island by jones or one of the seven somehow or sum before the plan went into works yada yada yada take mind that when we are leaving a certain older version of a map, we have to leave that map the exact same way we left it before or it'll most likely js destroy the onmiverse (idk i made this up this js a probably thing irdk) as a whole which cant happen bc fortnite goes on foreva bc epic stand on business and ya so when jones rockets glitchy thingys happen i think it was to purposefully tilt the rocket to the direction towards the meteor right as it boosts its thrusters. jones probably already gone through with the event before and learned things and did things wrong and test runs before actually exploding the zero point. (he'd be able to do this because he's in the loop) then yeah since the time machine was strapped safely and soundly at the perfect spot on the rocket this time and everything was >>correct
Because back then, the time machine didn't exist, and the Fortnite OG is an alternate timeline because of the C4S4 antagonist, Kado Thorne, who altered the past too many times
Even though there was no lore i liked the event. Even though it was ads It was still pretty fun also just saying whiny people in comments i want you to make an entire event for millions of people to watch i doubt you'll do better because there's a certain style that epic has for naking events and thats impossible to replicate
well to be honest, there was no lore in the fortnite OG season. it was just the old map (which everyone wanted) so they used the old event for an old map
Sorry. But the season X one was just better. The graphics, the rockets, the og lighting and lots more. Words can’t describe my dissatisfaction with the Big Bang event
@@n1tro72 how is it better lmao, it's just a copy and paste of the end, but this time they added all the collabs without any explanation how, it's just a low effort way to show all the collabs they made without any sense in the story
