The Rocket, Caused Kevin to spawn. Kevin, Went into loot lake, made an island and eventually exploded revealing some Thing fishy. I’m gonna assume that that triggered the iceberg to hit the island, and the ice king sicked a snowstorm on the island. I’m also gonna assume that because prisoner is the fire king he rise the volcano out of the ground. Which Eventually led government to search around the map for the reason why a volcano randomly showed up. They accidentally found the vault. We had the unvaulting event, which led to the volcanos eruption, because of the zero point releasing power. The volcano hit polar peak, releasing the monster, during the mech and monster fight, the monster saw energy coming from the zero point. Blah fight blah fight and the mech uses the zero points power to defeat the monster (hence why the bones showed so quickly). The zero point exploded, rewinding, and freezing time. The visitor (season 4) knew that this has happened before. So he tried to stop it. I’m doing that, one of the seven sacrifices themselves to un-Freeze time. (The rocket that launches into the zero point). The rest of them, Fall in memorial with the meteor. Unfortunately, they miscalculated, and ended creating a black hole, but still ended the loop.
What makes this event one of the saddest events, is the fact that we saw memories, landmarks, stories, all gone in a matter of seconds right in front of us. The meteor started it, and it finished it. All in a blink of an eye. Goodbye, chapter 1.
Saying that is kinda ironic Knowing that, well The chapter 1 map is kinda back, just. Not fully The volcano is there, tilted will be there, greasy, shifty, loot lake (though not a named location) All back from chapter 1 so, yeah
Now chapter 3 is looking better since there’s a no-build mode...literally, you can’t farm anything and all you have is weapons, running, sliding, and you can catch yourself on ledges rather than using one ramp. But yeah, chapter 3 title music is gonna be the 2.0 version of the nostalgia music since it has this beautiful “new chapter to explore” kind of vibe.
Over 4 years, after revisiting the OG map and seeing a new rendition of this event, yet this one has still aged like a fine wine. I still remember watching this event all the way back then. I remember the complete shock I felt when I was left with the black hole on my screen. Every time I come back to this video to watch it, I remember myself from that day. So much has changed since then. I don’t talk to the same people. I don’t have the same interests. I’m a completely different person now. But this event never fails to bring me back. Truly a masterpiece.
it's crazy how we took all this for granted. this whole event was beautiful. the music was amazing. the sight of the meteor coming down with the rockets, it just shows how good epic games is at what they do
@@gameoff2948 please don’t, you have to realize that with a map that small, and mediocre compared to this one, we wouldn’t have as much fun, there are so many improvements this chapter than chapter 1
You know the event was good when you come back to watch it again years later to cherish Fortnite as a whole, the chapter 1 map, the music, the atmosphere of it all and the memories we made from it all.
As one who stopped playing this game a while back, I will admit that I do wish I had that fire to play this game still. The creativity, the bond, the community, the lore, the big events, the whole vibe that separates this game from many others. It may not be a game I enjoy but it still will have a spot inside me somewhere. I like to visit and see whats going on via RU-vid and all that, but dang I hate that I don't enjoy this game as I once did. I would be able to be blown away by so many of these events right in front of me. For now I still hope to see this game remain alive
@@osamabin1328It probably will never feel the same. OG fortnite wasn’t good because the map was good. It was good because of its community. Now the community is overinfested with greasy-fingered 10 year olds who think they’re hot shit.
The best parts were - The rockets creating the rift in front of the meteor - The Rocket shooting the laser (nostalgia from the old event) - The meteor and rockets falling in unison - The stunning music
3:32 The moment I realized that this was actually the end of this map. All the good times, nothing but memories now. We will never get to play on or see this map ever again... I wish I spent less time hating on it now.
That old map can kick a rusty can in downtown new york while getting yelled at two prostitutes wearing cheetah print instead of leopard print curse his mothers name at him smh
Even to this day, I still believe this is one of if not THE BEST live event in gaming history. Everything is perfect, with the rockets multiplying, the visuals of the Zero Point and the rifts, and ESPECIALLY the music, the part of the music where the meteor is making its final descent onto the Zero Point with the rockets NEVER fails to give me goosebumps even 4 years later. And everything ending with everything players have come to love over the years being sucked into a gaping black hole with at all closing with a somber piano riff. Bravo, Epic Games.
TNG Armscarr you’re birth certificate is already pathetic anyways. that’s basically like saying “it’s stupid to cry over saying goodbye to friends” And I thought I was a stupid human being You’re just mad cause your life sucks
Xcell 2187 are you ok? In the head? Crying over a video game is retarded and crying over a friend makes sense. And how did you get so mad because someone said OG dosent exist in Fortnite. I honestly disagree with that. But you got so worked up over nothing. So you are a stupid human being.
3 years since that happened and it still gives me goosebumps. definitely my favorite event related to the game's story and certainly the most important one too, because it changed everything we knew. I hope we meet again, chapter 1
@@ryftzk yah man and I am not really a sentimental person or cry easy over stuff I watch on tv or RU-vid but this is some of the few stuff that I guess really gets to me. Lol
I have no idea why, but when I watched this event live I cried. And even now, when I rewatch it, I cry. This time period was truly the best. And lets not forget about the music during this event?? Like hello, probs one of the best pieces they've created so far.
lmao i did that literally every day until the new season came out and was getting so triggered since it was days of waiting. it was a good screensaver tho so im not mad about it 💀
This almost genuinely made me cry, I don’t just miss the map. I miss how the game used to be, tolerable and playable and just genuine fun because nobody was too insane, it was nice to have the old map back but it wasnt the same, the peoples skill wasnt reverted
The skills part, unfortunately, was something that was inevitable. When many years pass, the tendency is for the community to evolve in terms of gameplay and agility.
@@Ki-pk9ln and also a reason behind the new map, and also a reason for every new season. Let's say for example season 2. Crypto hacked the towers keeping the "leviathans" away, therefore the leviathans came to Kings Canyon and created full chaos. These creatures are also in Titanfall.
Everytime i watch this... Makes me wanna cry, and realize how far this game has become, yet people say its trash but this game really became something, a story line that most people didnt know about yet, they say its a bad game... Well, this event changed everything
@@M3rk420 Are you talking about fortnite, or about any popular thing that has a fanbase? Every fanbase has a bad side, and Fortnite is no exception, but it's ironic how you're calling the fanbase toxic while acting like a little kid. And no, that's the minority.
@@M3rk420 You're once again talking about the minority of clickbait youtubers. They were really abundant during Fortnite's peak, but now you rarely find them. Also, if you're really implying that rage makes a community or a game bad, then every game is bad. And don't even start with "think of the kids", if a kid is watching that it's not the youtubers fault, it's the parents' fault. Once again, a kid using its mom credit card is not the game's fault in any way. That's like me blaming Minecraft for purchasing anything in the Marketplace. Ah, of course, it's the game's fault that a horny 14 yo faps to female skins. The closest to a "revealing" skin we've gotten is Beach Bomber, and that's a summer skin. Yes, you said it yourself, but just because you encounter annoying players or just downright cunts doesn't mean everyone is like that, and that's one of the problems with that argument: "1 person is cunt, therefore everyone is cunt" that doesn't make any sense. Now, I'm not saying the community is perfect, far from it, but just became someone's bad, doesn't mean everyone's bad.
@@M3rk420 Yeah, NINJA. Not everyone gets mad when they get killed, amd you shouldn't be surprised that pro players complain. Sometimes its reasonable, sometimes they act like crybabies, like Mongraal. And once again, just because 2 people are like that, it doesnt mean everyone is like that.
Man… every time I come back to watch this it never ceases to give me chills. Like it or not, THIS is why I still love Fortnite. Live events like this really set the game apart from others, and it’s just sad to me that the game has become so hated because the player base grew and evolved.
@@jaells1 most games will always have a toxic player base as long as it has pvp, Fortnite, Sea of Thieves, Destiny, etc. it’s just the toxic part of the player base is always the one that’s heard the most even though it’s the least populated
@@MonkeMan2.0Fracture pretty much destroyed fortnite. After it everything came downhill nothing building up hype for the next season, no live events, messy story that resets eveytime a season releases and makes past chracters vanish, no actual map changes leading up to something like chapter 3 season 1/2 and generally chapter 1, Theres nothing exciting anymore. We get a bunch of content when a season releases and the rest is content drought and anime collabs. I think im gonna quit if epic doesn't change their mind of 1 year chapters
@@ty_tgmExactly. Gaming in general has toxic players and there's nothing we can do about it, so idk why people hate Fortnite because it has toxic players.
It’s the little details in this event. The 7 rockets to represent the 7. The laser tracking showing it was the visitor who hit the 0 Point. The fact only 6 rockets showed. When put together, it shows. The Visitor sacrificed himself into the ‘loop’ mentioned in his recordings where people have said to have been stuck before. It’s kinda sad when put into perspective
And from this moment on nothing was the same, they can bring the old map back all they want, it’ll never bring back the TRUE feeling to OG Fortnite. What I would do to relieve those days proper. It was all so much easier back then. ♥️
You're basically asking to cease to exist. Your experiences are because of you in that instant. Enjoying this game in that same moment wouldn't be the same without removing the memory of those experiences. That's why it's so strong in the first place. They are the first to make you feel that kind of awe
@@paveesfox375 Yknow, that’s a very deep but very true way of putting it, my mindset and who I am now is far more different than myself back then. Striving to relieve it is an impossible goal. But, it’s fun to go down memory lane I suppose.
Mr. Unentertaining bot. Yeah but the amount of force the rocket put into the impact was strong enough to knock everyone off the island. The rocket is definitely totaled upon reentry
Seeing the laser from season 4 gave me chills, finding out the rocket was meant to hit the lake to destroy the zero point before it was overpowered sent chills down my spine
Oh my god same. For once the storyline made sense. All of those hours I spent theorizing over where Kevin would move next, where the next crack would open, the next new lead, I just knew. He had to right his wrong and so as that meteor burst through the rift a shiver came down my spine and my controller fell out of my grasp. Happy tears began streaming down my cheeks. I knew that this was the end, so I embraced it. That’s why I’m here, almost 5 months after it happened. Fortnite did something no game had before. It went from game, to memory.
Watching this, I remember my first game, my first kill, my first build battle, playing with my bois, my first win, everything. Seeing the meteor come down with the 6 rockets is enough to tear me up. Also, that looks like a good Final Smash for Smash Bros.
