Jackson said in an interview, done at the time of the Airwaves album release, that he was in a studio with a partner. They were working on songs for a new Bob Jackson album. In came Joey Molland to help out. Not long after that they were joined by Tom Evens. (Bob had joined Badfinger in 1974 when Pete Ham had quit. Pete rejoined for the tour to support the Warner Brothers albums). Since they now had 3 ex-members, they decided to use the name Badfinger for the Airwaves album.
This is a superb version of 'Without You' and compares in quality to the version that Harry Nillson had a huge hit with. A great song by Pete Ham and Badfinger but their version of it never really did it justice. Thanks Bob Jackson and your friends here.
