Saw Bob Jackson play Badfinger music live on a boat cruise in late 2016. Had the pleasure of having a number of conversations with him about music and speciically Badfinger. One of the nicest and engaging people you would ever want to meet. An all round good bloke.
Just keep in mind that Bob Jackson was chosen by Tom,Joey and Mike to replace Pete Ham when he quit. When Ham rejoined they kept Jackson…he is that good
Bob, great vocals by you! Great performance by the band from what i hear in this short snippet. I've been a huge Badfinger fan since '71. Any chance you guys can come to Australia? Regards, Tiger.
I can understand if he calls his act "Bob Jackson Tribute to Badfinger" but not "Badfinger". sorry. he can never be Badfinger. would Pete Best call his current band The Beatles? doesn't sound bad but no, not Badfinger ever. I saw Joey Mollands Badfinger twice in 2004 and 2008. that was more appropriate and I actually met Joey backstage and we had a lovely conversation. exchanging hugs made me a forever fan and really felt the spirit of Badfinger. I don't want to poo poo on Bob Jackson but he isn't the same
I concur. It doesn’t sound the same does it. Mollands Scouse undertones make it more authentic. Unfortunately doesn’t come back to the UK often enough but that’s probably because the UK shunned the original albums in truth and had to make their way to the states
