Forward Jump Auto Cancel Dair (FJAC Dair) allows Falco to access Dair more quickly and safely in neutral. Due to MANY different factors, it's now more than viable to use Dair as a rising aerial, and even confirm damage off of it! Use Dair's considerable hurtbox shifting to beat many common anti-airs!

That's a very good content, you explain what how why and when the tech finds its advantages. Not saying it as a Falco player, I really enjoyed the content. And as a Falco player and coach thank you for the video. I will try to do it consistently, I Nevers put effort into conversions from rising dairs except for tech chasing with DIAP and groundlocks. yo this is cool, but genuine question, how safe is each of the 6 versions, on shield?

in reference to shield, there’s only 3 versions, since someone shielding is by definition on the ground the latest part of the sourspot is -6 the earliest part of the sourspot is -15 the sweetspot is around -16, really it’s a range between -14 and -18 the numbers themselves don’t tell the full story; a lot of the safety comes from drift and hurtbox shifting on landing

the easiest way to understand the drift thing is: the earlier dair connects on shield, the more you can drift away if it hits early enough, you can also force a cross up, which adds to the difficulty of punishing it. many characters don’t have a one-size-fits-all way of punishing this
