Hello everyone and welcome to the Deepest Chamber: Resurrection! Deepest Chamber is a roguelike deckbuilder that has just released out of Early Access with its own unique mechanic card boosting. On top of its unique boosting mechanic, it has pretty much every feature you can think of from other deckbuilders; even in my very first run, I caught a glimpse of the game's insane potential wombo combos. I just started and don't really get this game. I don't know what boost actually does. I still don't, even though you tried to explain it at 5:40 . It looks like you were only getting 1 defense from that card even though you had it boosted. So why not 2 defense? Does boost on a card only effect what it does to other cards? I just don't get it. It feels like all the experience i had playing Hearthstone, Yu-GI-Oh and some recent games hadn't prepared me for this game, which i had been waiting to come out of early access before buying.
The Defense that I played at 5:40 was not boosted. You can tell if a card is boosted by the little rectangles at the bottom of the card art/above the card's name. If they are greyed out, then it's not boosted. If they are filled in, then the card is boosted. By playing that Defense, it boosted the card to its immediate left and right. The Defense to its left gained +1 Armor and the Fireball to its right gained +2 spell damage. When I start hovering the Fireball at 5:59, you can see that the Defense to its left is not highlighted because it already has been boosted (its only rectangle is filled in), but the Holy Shield to its right is highlighted with +2 Armor, meaning that if I played the Fireball it'll boost the Holy Shield to now grant an additional +2 Armor whenever it's played. Cards will remain boosted until they are played, but boosts will reset after every combat. I hope that helps!
