I know it would be hard to pull off from a coding perspective, but could you imagine if using someone's face affected their reputation? Like, take the form of Grimgor, attack the Empire, and they get pissed at Grimgor instead of you. Peak Tzeentch.
I've decided to start watching the other Total War playthroughs, because the game looks genuinely interesting. My potato PC can't run it, but an eldritch horror can dream.
Hello everyone and welcome back to Acolyte of the Altar! With the smol July patch fresh off the press, I thought I'd take the opportunity to make good on my promise to play a Mono deck (same Greater and Lesser Patron) and give the Sylvans their chance at redemption. Little did I know, their redemption arc would end in supremacy because this Infest deck went insanely hard. The Infest really started coming together at 27:26 to save a lost doggo, but I learned the true power of Infest against the Shambling City at 43:10. With newfound knowledge in hand, Haru's Acolyte absolutely demolished the Empyrean god at 46:57. This was a fun refresher, and I'm now satisfied to return when the meta-progression is finally added -- thanks for watching!
If you're interested in new story ideas, I'd highly recommend looking into the Golarion (Pathfinder) pantheon and history. Lots of their deities ascended to their deific status through great acts, like in AoW and their Wizard Kings, and it's got lots of God-like opponents to pull from as well! Off the top of my head the war between Tar-Baphon and Iomedae before her ascension, the resurrection of the dragon lord Kazavon, and the awakening of various Runelords could make for amazing stories! Great content as always, Fabe!
I think Order is my favorite Affinity right now, although the damage can be a little low until you get the Anthem of Victory + Order Matrix shenanigans rolling. :D
I typically don't sell remains because I play on Wondrous Past and hold out hope that I'll nab a Tomb that gives +Mana, +Knowledge, and +Souls (if applicable) per Hero in the Crypt. I'll still sell them if they have an item I want or if I'm strapped for cash.
When it comes to lizardmen and going anti coruption (which is an amazing idea), you could maybe go for someone like Lord Kroak? Tehenhauin would possibly work best with sotek and such. There are many fun "holy" lizardmen tbh. Also, if you are going lizardmen, you have to have Luthor Harkon as an opponent!!
Hmm, I still think it's a little difficult to properly create a Slann Priest so I was debating about making the choice a Saurus Oldblood like Kroq-gar, Gor-Rok, or even Chakax, but I'm not sure if they're in line with the Faith build I want to do. 🤔 Naturally, the Vampirate will be hunting for his trinkets! I hope the Personalities get their shite together before then. 😅
@@Fableheimagreed on the slaan not quite being replicable, but since lord Kroak is dead, you can maybe justify the mummified eldritch abomination to represent him
Hello everyone and welcome back to Age of Wonders 4! After swiftly reclaiming Kor'vess at 1:02, Grand Empress Shek'zeer decided it was time to dismantle Operation Shieldwall and rid the realm of her first opponent. The on-going Celestial Happening added an extra obstacle to her path, but the long battle for Lion's Landing began at 20:40 with Varian's offensive defense, continued on in the face of some Mythic units at 54:12, was splintered with Varian's last stand at 1:17:33, and ultimately concluded at 1:34:38. The High King was once again disenchanted, and his Capital city will prove a useful staging ground in the heart of Pandaria -- thanks for watching!
Glad the Steam Guide helped out. I would have been lost without it. 😊 Concerning the Sepulchers, the tomes (set of three) from the tombs unlock access to them once deciphered. They are not related to the Scholars quests. Pretty sure you haven't unlocked the one in Grinmeer. When accessible, locations show up on the map. You do need some runes from the Drombach tomb (which a part is bit of a challenge) for some of the Sepulcher tomes. The Scholars quests for the pendulum are from the letters given by them. Nice items once researched. The place where you got the Dragon bones quest, it has a lab in the basement, which is part of the Drombach quest line. The access does not show up with the Alt key. Mouse over the lower left corner for it. I had to look that up Sorry about the Rat nest influence. I had gotten 300 when doing one. Might have been for a quest, or destroying the nests, or that I am playing Adaptive. That reflect damage shield is awesome. I have one that is level 7 on my level 13 tank, I don't mind giving up some armor for the damage it does. The armor layers I use for tanks, mainly provide strength/armor, armor/guard, depends on their main role. I have one as main tank (with the reflection shield), two damage tanks, and made my two recruited prisoners, tanks, so they have a weapon and shield attack, and equipped with heavy armor. I laughed at that gold mission fight for the bow, up against eight level 7s. :)
Just checked about the Rat nest. Just killing the brood mother gave only 16 influence, but when I also destroyed 5 nests, I got 320 influence. Oh, and make Seed Biscuits and Lavender Syrup cookies. And add them every time you camp. One give increase percent influence and the other increase percent Profesional experience
Thanks for even more pro tips and clearing up my confusion about the Sepulchers. I figured it was related to the Runes but I'll get around to that... eventually. (: I think I've missed every interactable that doesn't light up with the Alt key outside of the Tombs. XD
1:33:00 When I heard of that sinergy between chaos and cleansing flame, I was reminded of how the army abilities for 9th addition 40k Deamons where discribed. The breaking down of reality strenghtning (cleansing) the unborne and twisting (burning) all others. PS: Wasn't there something with low tier units, chaos-empirium and (maybe) the tome of the hord that would work well with the smithing guild? For the legions of the immaterium are endless!
I'm not too familiar with the actual rulebooks for WH40k but I'll take your word for it! As for your theory, there are a few synergies with Tier 1 stuff from Chaos, but I believe you're thinking of Impressment, the level 2 Chaos Imperium talent that grants +50% Experience gain to tier 1 units. Bonus exp won't be particularly helpful when they're coming out straight at Legend rank. To improve the combat efficiency of the Tier 1 legion, there's a combat buff from Chaos Tome of the Horde that gives Strengthened to all Tier 1 units on the field, and the Mighty Meek enchantment from the Order Tome of the Beacon that grants Faithful and +1 Spirit damage per Unit tier of the target. The latter might actually be insane with a proper Faithful build that can deal bonus damage per Faithful unit in the army; I might have to test it in the next playthrough -- thanks for getting the gears working!
Hello everyone and welcome back to Wartales! The Marvelous Mercenaries return to leave Drombach for now. As the highest level zone in the game, I thought it was time to go explore and mark off the checklist of miscellaneous objectives such as the long promised respec of the King of Brettonia at 28:17, finally starting the Knowledge apex quest at 41:52, inviting Milizar to the troop at 1:08:51, and upgrading the Tavern to its final form at 1:15:20. Next time, the miscellaneous checklist will continue to be checked off as the Troop makes it way towards Belerion, challenges the Arena of Champions, and bears witness to the might of Erkeshet Reborn -- thanks for watching!
@@Fableheim oh! i cant thank you enough if you play it and build the kingdom underground or in a tree! the only ones i have seen playing it build in the sky and since there do not seam to be walls to place in the background its just takes me out of the vid :I i know you would fo it justice :D
@@Fableheim Witchers are meant to be the ultimate monster hunters. They've undergone processes that mutate them, and use magic, meditation, and potions to enhance themselves even further. Their main thing, though, is knowledge. You can kill anything, as long as you're aware of what it is, and prepare accordingly. Also, the mutation process makes them sterile, and perpetually horny. You're now caught up on the basics. Edit, for more clarity: Witchers tend to be more morally grey. They'll hunt what's hunting you, but they expect to be paid for it. Also, while they do know magic, they're fighters first and foremost. Magic is supplemental, instead of being their main focus.
@@Fableheim The issue is that the process that turns a human into a Witcher leaves them sterile, so you can't have a race of them. Having a Witcher lead a faction could work, but it would need to be low magic, because Witchers use quick, small spells to aid them in melee. Things like the Tome of Artificing and the Tome of Alchemy would be fitting. The best bet for AoW4, though, would be to use a Sorcerer character, like Triss or Yennefer. I personally would vote Triss, but I have a thing for redheads. Magic in the Witcher is a product of Chaos, and Triss uses pyromancy, so it checks out. Also, a Witcher-inspired world would need a high world threat, because, well, Witchers _are_ monster hunters.
Thank you so much for the video😍 Happy to hear that you like new Vanadis. Surely we'll polish her and the game in general, deal with all the bugs (like talent card broken text, oopsie😅) and add the final-final battle. Oh, can't wait for your new video!
Hello everyone, welcome back to Knock on the Coffin Lid! It's been some time since my last venture in to Midian, but the long-awaited overhaul to Vanadis and Free Mode (now called Challenges) is here. If you'd like to hop straight in to the run, my first combat of confusion is at 1:38. For the bosses, the Dwarfen Berserker puts up one hell of a fight at 19:58, the Armadillo rolls over at 51:16, and Sigismund gets giggled on at 1:10:55. Vanadis has gone through more of a re-design than a re-work, and I think she's in a much better place. I do have some remaining concerns about pet scaling and new concerns about old cards that were designed to be dual-played but I'm optimistic about her future role as the Dark Queen -- thanks for watching! Huge patch notes: store.steampowered.com/news/app/1232580/view/4184486801766914258?l=english
Moira was kind of a last minute "I need an Industrious character" choice, but she's definitely one of my favorite WoW characters. I know her son plays a large role in the upcoming xpac, so fingers crossed they don't do her dirty somehow. 🤞
1:40:44 Actaully polymorph still works, sadly you cannot get them via Rally of Lieges but if you are lucky you can get them from clearing golden infestation.
@@Fableheim They have umbral immunity, but not for troops, which is weird and that transformation is not helpful...befriending the umbral dwelling is the only way, pretty lame
1:05:55 You can dismantle a single provice by clicking on the central node and then recycle like button and choose dismantle, than you can annex a new province
15:23 if you want to lower the time they besiege the city, because you can use the city defenses in the battle rather to attack them outside. Every turn under a siege you will lose 1 pop, so it is a way to make it quicker, still it should be instantenous not like 30 defense, it is so underwhelming.
I'm going to have to say both. I still haven't tried it with High World Threat (not even sure if that would affect it), but the army can be stopped pretty easily. The biggest threat is losing population per turn while besieged, but as long as you're in position it is pretty trivial. :\
Names for Reaver Insectoids: Fire Ants / Bullet Ants, (not to original) Mantis Shrimps / Peacock Mantis Shrimps / Harlequin Mantis Shrimp, (the Insectoid tails reminded me of those, they hit fast and hard, could be other culture) Shooty Buggers, or some variant of it, (my favourite)
It's too bad Blizzard didn't have the balls to let Jaina's plan succeed. It would've been the perfect chance to replace the long standing Alliance/Hoard dynamic. There would've been so many possibilities. Instead, we just got more of the same.
Early Game: if the stupid AI loses a *single* Unit, I will fight this battle myself. After Smithing Guild: Oh, I lost 2 Phantom Warriors and 3 Sunderers? Let me just resupply all of that in a single turn and not waste time micromanaging anything. Seriously, those boosts to Tier 1 Units can get absolutely outrageous for Chaos builds or Fabled Hunters. One of my cities was printing no less than 3 Legend-Tier Sunderers every single turn. Disgusting with a Demon Gate deployment location and Teleporter Pacts.
@@FableheimThough I suspect your Summon Chaff of choice to be Zealots over Phantom Warriors, the play will be much the same. You seem to often at least dip a toe into Order, while I tend to dip into Astral. It's honestly just so good to have *any* kind of Tier 1 Summon that exists as a member of your Race (thus inheriting your Transformations). As a fan of not only the Tier 1 Horde play style but also a Fury and Glade Runner aficionado, I'm looking forward to seeing what you manage to do with Tier 1 Archers. Shame that Splitting Arrows got nerfed to the ground, I do miss the easy 30% DPT increase 😂
1:40:46 I think you can actually get the Umbral Tyrant from the Rally of Lieges once you get an Eldritch Pact unless something has changed since the prerelease. PotatoMcWhiskey did a series where he got multiple stacks made up of them and the Tyrant’s Mark stacking was obscenely strong.
@@Fableheim That both makes complete sense and is also very sad. I’ll have to test and see if Polymorph + Mind Control works. I also wonder if clearing Umbral Infestations with the first Chaos tree point that gives a random unit might let you get one, since there are other unattainable units you can get that way.
Something I found fun was a reaver run with as much mechanical units as I could. Golems, dreadnought etc. Maybe that could be a fun idea? I went enchantment, alchemy, construct, artificing, dreadnought and so on, you get the idea.
I did that in the Drazhoath playthrough, and it was a lot of fun! The Dreadnoughts and Severing Golems hard carried me to victory, but I'm not sure how strong it would be now that they double-nerfed Tuning Kits in to the ground. :c
2:01:50 I never noticed that when you get "master mason" 20% of the cost of construction in progress is automatically refunded without the need to reschedule them. (google translate)
This is the first series of yours I’ve watched, and just wanted to let you know it’s been great so far! Looking forward to watching this over the next couple days. Also, I don’t know if they are in your plans at all, but in the late game you might enjoy the Warbreeds as some siege breaking/shock units. I did a Cleansing Flame build for my last game and Pyre Templars and Warbreeds were super fun together, plus I’m guessing that the Umbral Strider major racial transformation would look hilarious on them.
I've gone back and forth on Warbreeds, inspired by the Mantid Kunchong, but I'd probably get Tyrant Knights instead for my Shock unit. I'll think about it. (:
Hello everyone and welcome back to Age of Wonders 4! The Grand Empress returns in the official Patch 1.2 to wage war against all Pandaria, but first she had to deal with the revenge of the Fey at 14:33 and seizing from the Betrayer what rightfully belongs to her at 35:54. At 1:01:54, Jaina called Shek'zeer to war against the True Horde. Canonically, the Mantid knelt before the Avatar of Y'shaarj, but the Fear-Ascendant has freed her people from their servitude to the Old Gods. Warring against Garrosh has lead to Daniel joining in, but the Empress will yet stand against 6 opponents with the newfound might from the Tome of Cleansing Flame at 1:30:25 -- thanks for watching!
@@AngryGerbils You already have a pretty good idea of what's going on, then! :D Winds of Magic (or WOM as I occasionally abbreviate it) is the blue stuff on the bottom right of combat that lets me cast spells, and I can never, ever have enough of it. Fecundity is a Nurgle-specific healing ability that comes from two sources: the second level Army ability (right side of the screen in combat) that heals the targeted unit and 4 adjacent ones and the Locus of Fecundity Hero Skill that heals in an AOE around whichever Hero can use it. Locus of Fecundity is one of the few exclusionary skills (locks two other choices), but it's so good that I can't even remember what the other two options are. 😅
