GT Sport really focused on detail from the reflection on the cars to details outside the racing itself. If I had to choose, GT Sport would be my favorite, although Forza is still an amazing game, also.

Forza is a casual game, fun car game. GT is a strategic, competitive racing game.

Personally, the only thing Forza 7 has over Gran Turismo is native 4K resolution. Car models have higher polygon count and detail. For example take the Veneno. There's an animation on the dash when the gear changes. No game with that car does that animation except Gran Turismo. As for the lighting Polyphony has been the king in this department for years and it hasn't change. I can't wait to see the weather in GTS.

ACTUALLY, in replay mode, GTS has incredible lighting.

You forgot to mention how Forza 7's cars don't seem connected to the track.

Both are good game tbh, I play forza 7 in my PC and GT sport in playstation 4(ofc) but lightning in GT Sport is Marvelous

In every comparison he claims that Forza 7 has better graphics because of the 4K, but come on. Let’s face it: GT Sport has way better graphics and online experience. Forza 7 has nothing new to brag about to bring into their Forza series, but GT Sport has made a comeback for the Gran Turismo series, and Polyphony is already talking about their next entry, which will be called GT7(Google it).

GTS is more Realistic than the F7

GT at its current updating pace would probably reach 300-400 cars by the time PS5 comes. Its car models are superior. Its graphics is a Ray Tracing engine fitted in a console which is bonkers. Its real world tracks are officially certified by FIA by being exceptionally accurate. The new tracks being added are also overseen by FIA so they could be competitive. Official races have BOP. Its got a much more organized online experience where you are sorted by driver rating. Its also got much better physics than Forza.

Very clear error in Forza regarding shadows at Mount Panorama. The circuit is located in Bathurst, outside Sydney, Australia. It's in the southern hemisphere, which means sun will rise in east to west but be from the north. This is absolutely correct in GT Sport which is on the left (north) of the main straight. However, Forza has the sun coming from the south. This would be correct, only if the track was in the northern hemisphere. But this is a lack of attention to detail. It's impossible to have the sun come from this direction.

GT Sport looks a lot better. Goes to show that art direction and presentation matters.

Forza need change the light effect, too fake

Forza 7 looks so dull, for some reason they decided to focus on cloudy environments most of the time

I find that as games progress in some areas, they also seem to take full steps backwards in other areas which doesn't make any sense to me. They're supposed to improve in every area for future installments

GTsport Physics is much better than Forza

GT Sport is kind of like the Wii Sports of Gran Turismo games. The music, the training, it all gives me a Wii Sports vibe.

Lighting and texturing is definitely better in GT sport, I haven't actually played FM7 yet, to give my opinion would be biased...

Let's just face it, Gran Turismo Sport looks better on almost every single level.

Re: Corvette in GT Sport. Forza uses the 2015 C7R and GT Sport uses the 2016 C7R. The biggest change between the two was in fact the rear diffuser. No idea where that wing came from though.

great video! unbiased videos are truly enjoyable to watch. one note is that you missed the opportunity to talk about level of detail in the models themselves, while forza has crisper colors and textures, gt has more detailed (probably higher polygon count) models (which you mentioned as looking more realistic). a good example that you’ve already shared is around 3:45, the panels look more defined and separated, also where the hex pattern meets the lights, there are edges. it’s a very small detail but being able to follow actual construction of materials with the design of in game models is a good way to tap into realism. great video again! can’t wait to see more

Also GT Sport has a VR Tour. You can only preview it if you have a PS VR. I play VR Tour more than the actual game

Forza is good but for gts not being 4k it's a lot better personally I play gts and playing it on a decent monitor or TV it look superb

Two big differences between this two, in Forza the change in time and weather, really puts some good immersion, but the fix lighting in GT make possible a really better lighting, shadow and reflection, to me, this was the more prominent differences...

I can absolutely 100% Confirm, that this footage was recorded with GTSport set to 4k w/ HDR ON. In fact, the game won't even let me change the setting because my output is a 4K television. Yes. This is PS4Pro. GTSport by default is set to Quality" mode (**1800p checkboarded and then** upscaled to 4k @ 60fps) Yes. This is XboxOneX. Forza by default is set to native 4k/60fps Both games are played on a Native 4K output (Sony XBR 900E) through a 4K receiver (Yamaha RX-V681BL) and recorded via an Elgato Game Capture HD60 card. Both games are recorded at 1080p 60fps (limitations of Game Capture card). The HDMI's are running through a 4K HDMI splitter so no, the Elgato is in no way changing the game's output resolution. When outputting GTSport on a 4K display, the game will default to the highest quality. Gran Turismo 5 will always be my favorite racing game. There was just so much you could do In it and for the time a lot of cars to choose from. I also liked gt6. Hope Gran Turismo sport lives up to it

Hello. I just playing GTS. And suddenly all my cars except the dlc are gone. How I can recover it? I've tried to redownload my saved game in psn cloud but nothing changed, all my cars still missing. Is anybody here know how to recover it? Thanks

Need to clarify something: Forza doesn't use sprites for trees. Alpha transparent polygons that intersect are used. Sprites always rotate along with the player's view as those are 2d not 3d. GT used sprites for the trees.

What's with your TV for GT?

Both Games have Pro's and Cons, I heard people complain about both, I heard people praise both. GT Sport has the better lightning when there is light, and yes the reflections look good as well, and GT Sport has a better penalty and ghosting feature. Forza 7, however, has way more content, like way-way more content. It has the better weather effects since GT Sport simply lacks any. You can't really say any of the Two is better than the other. Both are more on the Simcade side of things, both are shifted more towards Simulation but handling wise still a tick more to Arcade to make it more accessible. Even if Grand Turismo calls itself a Real Driving simulation, it never was one and never will be. Real sims are by far more difficult, If you go full Throttle out of a corner the ass won't move a bit it will go ballistic on your ass. Assetto Corsa, iRacing, Race Room Those are modern Sim Racer.
